"You're going to do fine," Tyler smiled, giving you a reassuring pat on the back.

"Yeah, you've been practicing for months," Josh chimed in.

You took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, "Yeah, I've got this."

Tyler shot you a wink as you took your place on the stage. It wasn't unusual for you to perform at your local coffee shop's monthly open mic, but tonight was different. Tyler had spent the last few weeks helping you learn "Can't Help Falling In Love" on the ukulele in secret so that you could play it for Josh.

You had been dating Josh for close to eight months now, and it hadn't taken you long to start falling head over heels for him. Of course, being the generally nervous and inarticulate person that you were, you decided that telling him outright just wasn't going to cut it. Instead, you had decided to show him how you felt through the one thing you loved most: music.

"Um, hello," you smiled at the small crowd of gathered people. "Most of you probably recognize me considering I recognize most of you." This got some laughter from the audience. "But in case you don't, my name is Y/N and I like to play the ukulele. Tonight I'm going to be playing Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis for you."

Josh looked confused when you glanced over at him. You didn't blame him, as far as he knew you were playing a completely different song.

"I would also like to take a moment to dedicate this song to my wonderful boyfriend, Josh, who I fall in love with every day."

His eyes widened in recognition. You smiled at him before turning back to the mic and starting to strum the opening chords of the song. The nerves and fear slowly began to melt away as you sang. Music was second nature to you.

You finished the song and the room burst into applause. Your heart was pounding as you did a quick bow and all but ran offstage. Josh was the only thing on your mind at the moment.

"You love me?" he asked, the shock and disbelief evident on his face.

"Yeah," you smiled.

"I love you so much," he beamed before pulling you into a kiss.

"Gross," Tyler muttered, prompting Josh to reach out and swat at him without ever breaking the kiss.

"That was incredible, Y/N," Josh continued. "Man, I wish I had thought of that first. Then again, my voice is nowhere as good as yours."

"Sure it is," you said, bumping him with your shoulder.

"I wish," he scoffed.

"Thanks again for all the help, Ty."

"It was no problem, you hardly needed it."

"Still."

"I can't believe you love me," Josh smiled. "It's surreal."

"Get used to it," you said, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"I don't know that I ever will."
