Drabble #7
Pairing: Tyler Joseph x Reader
Warnings: None
Word Count: 522
Prompt: "Give me your shirt."
"Ty! Be careful," you warned, once again moving out of the way at the last second as Tyler ran by.
You turned to your cousin and shook your head. Tyler had been running around and playing soccer with your family members for nearly twenty minutes now, and there had been numerous occasions where he had almost bumped into you and caused you to spill your drink all over yourself.
"Sorry!" he called over his shoulder as he dribbled downfield.
You turned back to your cousin and continued the conversation you had been having. Out of the corner of your eye, you watched where the ball was.
Your attention was drawn away for a second as a random family member called your name. Unfortunately for you, Tyler was only half paying attention as he barreled towards you while you were turned to look over your shoulder. He looked up at the last second, but it was too late as he crashed into you. Your drink splashed everywhere, covering your white shirt in brightly colored juice. Tyler, of course, managed to slide out of there and avoid getting soaked.
"Oh my gosh, Y/N! I'm so sorry," he said, immediately walking over and resting his hand on your arm.
You sighed and shook out your hand a bit, "I'm going to go inside and get cleaned up."
"I'll come with you."
Tyler followed you through the house to the bathroom. You stripped your shirt and ran it under the water, trying your best to rinse the color out of it. It helped a little, but there wasn't much else that could be done without laundry detergent.
"Now my shirt is stained and soaked," you grumbled, even though it had partially been your fault.
"I'm really sorry, babe. Do you want me to grab you one of your cousin's shirts?"
"No, he barely owns anything besides dress shirts, anyway. Not to mention that he's super picky about his clothes."
"What do you want to do then?" he asked.
"Give me your shirt."
"What?"
"You're the reason that I spilled on my shirt and it's socially acceptable for you to walk around shirtless, so give me your shirt."
He stared blankly at you.
"Please," you smiled sweetly.
"You're lucky I love you," Tyler half-laughed as he stripped his shirt off and handed it to you.
You pulled it on. It was a bit oversized, but you didn't mind. Tyler pulled up his pants a bit and looked up at you.
"I feel weird."
"Don't," you said, reaching out and resting a hand on his arm. "You've known my family for how long now?"
"A long time."
"And I bet you could convince my little cousins to run around shirtless, although their moms might not like it much," you laughed.
"Sounds like a challenge," Tyler smiled.
You walked back outside hand in hand. A few of your family members stared, but you gave Tyler's hand a squeeze as reassurance.
"Now go out there and win that soccer game," you smiled, giving Tyler a gentle shove towards the makeshift field.
"Anything for you," he called over his shoulder.
