⛄Day 06⛄

ungkook sat in front of the Boss’s filing cabinet sorting through all the files he needed. The filing he was supposed to complete yesterday had slowly bled onto today’s schedule as well. The files were just never ending and when the old had vanished, new ones came in to replace them. Who knew that a small company like this one could have so many files. Jungkook was sure sorting and placing the files was not in his job description, however, he liked his boss too much to tell him no when it came to certain tasks, even tedious ones like this.
He really hadn’t thought that something of this sort would take so long. The company, like he had said, was a rather small one so he had doubted that there would be very many, especially with the technological enhancements of this day and age. According to the round, cherry faced man he called Boss, filing on the computer was more expensive than buying manilla files and printing everything out. Jungkook highly doubted that. I mean, they had the filing system on the computers, Jungkook had accidentally clicked on it a half billion times. All it would take was some time and effort and then files would be more easily accessible. He’d presented the idea to the Boss several times and he said he’d take it to the board, however nothing came of it. He was beginning to believe the Boss was purposefully not taking his idea to the one group of people who would make it happen.
His Boss was in his late fifties, maybe even in his sixties and his hair was beginning to thin and turn a whitish greyish color. He was plumping up around his middle and had begun to have a major grandparent feel about him. He must be scared, Jungkook had reasoned. Scared of being thought of as too old and being replaced by a younger, more tech savvy model. Jungkook thought he could easily get around that if he took the time to start integrating technology and bring it to the board. If the board saw that he was trying to make an effort to bring in the new, it wouldn’t be so damn obvious that the company had an older man running the management branch. Jungkook huffed as he closed the cabinet drawer with the loud thunk of metal on metal. He honestly felt like flopping backwards on the files he had strewn behind him. This was tiring work.
Jungkook tilted his head as robotic sounding noises came from the hallway behind him. Jungkook spun around and moved his head in different angles trying to see the source of the fading noises. Unable to see anything, he stood and made his way to the door frame.
His head shot out of the opening to see a little white goose going into the men’s room. Jungkook followed in pursuit. He grabbed the little goose in time to see a jellybean fall out of it’s back end onto the bathroom tile. Jungkook stared at the goose in confusion. More robotic whirring was heard behind him and Jungkook turned his head to see a second goose hitting the wall after coming out of the women’s room. He tilted the little goose around. Another jellybean fell from an opening in his back end and his feet were still moving despite being picked up. He was like those little easter bunnies you can get. The ones that you load with jellybeans and turn the dial and it walks and poops the candy beans on occasion. He’d never seen geese versions before, though.
Loud squawking flowed out of two more geese’s beaks who were having a fight two doors away in the hall. Jungkook separated them and stopped the dial. Four geese down, two more to go. After all, it was the sixth day, six geese was expected. The fifth goose was walking down the hall towards the main office, occasionally shuttering and then pooping out a bean. Jungkook dashed forward and grabbed a hold of it, stopping it before it disturbed the work environment.
As soon as the dial had been stopped, he let his head roll on his shoulders before scanning the room. Everything was as it normally is. Hoseok and Taehyung being inseparable. Mina delivering messages. The copier making loud noises before it would ultimately stop and wheeze before it fell into an uneasy silence. Yoongi sipping coffee while watching a small little baby goose walk toward Jungkook’s desk. Hold up. A goose. Walking towards his desk. He had located it. He smirked before catching up to the quick little things pace but stopped before picking it up. A notebook sheet that was taped to the bird read, Follow me! So Jungkook did just that. The bird led him to his desk where a note on top of a bag full of jellybeans sat.
-On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, six geese a laying, five golden rings, four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree-
I don’t know how I managed to set up all those geese when I wasn’t even involved in the letting them loose part. I found them in a Japanese market, if you’re wondering. Technically, they are geese a laying - they’re just laying jellybeans, not eggs. Personally, I think jellybeans are better, so I hope you’ll enjoy all your geese ammo. I think the pigeon will enjoy the company too. I really want to know what you named him. That creative head of yours probably came up with something really cool. Your beautiful, creative head.
Jungkook sighed Jelly bean pooping geese. What was he going to do with all of these? What was he gonna do with the author of these notes?

I love this chapter sooo much, like, so much. The details are awesome and I think I was pretty darn creative with the geese a laying bit. It gets a bit difficult trying to modernize that song.
Thank you all for reading and I'll see you tomorrow!
