⛄Day 04⛄
Jungkook swirled his coffee around as he sat at his dining table. He had to leave for work in a few minutes but there was no harm in finishing a good cup of coffee. At least that’s what his father said, even if he was twenty minutes late. His father always had those kinds of sayings or tips tucked up his sleeve ready for the random moments that they were useful. He’d most likely gotten that from Jungkook’s grandfather, who had been quite quirky with that type of thing. He remembered at dinner when he was younger, his grandfather and his dad had said the same saying at the same time. It had ended in a copyright battle and the two not speaking for over a month.
The coffee hadn’t gotten fairly cold since Jungkook last took a sip of it. He had just been biding time with it, trying to put going to work as far off as possible. He wasn’t sure why, he enjoyed working, despite how others felt about it. Maybe he didn’t want to deal with Taehyung and Hoseok’s new relationship or maybe it was because he had ran into Yoongi and then fell face first to the ground with all his papers. May or may not have been the latter. Jungkook sighed, he just had to suck it up and go. So what if the embarrassment would murder him when he saw Yoongi later on?
Jungkook set the mug in his dishwasher before going to the hall closet to grab his coat. He slid on a brown suede coat before opening his door. A chorus of “Good morning”s in a high pitched robotic tone rang out as the door opened, sending the door flying closed.
Jungkook took a deep breath and reopened the door. Four Little Live Pet birds sat taped to his tree outside. A folded note was hung from the bird on the lowest branch.
-On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, four calling birds, three french hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree-
Sorry if I scared you. I couldn’t think of any way else to give you calling birds. If you don’t mind, could you leave those where they are? I kind of promised my cousin several Little Live Pets. Don’t worry about yesterday. I’m sure he didn’t mind bumping into you.
So this was someone from work. Who else would know about his bumping into Yoongi? Sure he didn’t mind. Did they see the look on his face after? The glare was enough to have sent Jungkook to his grave with the tombstone saying he passed a hundred years prior. Jungkook sighed. At least whoever this was was nice to his cousins. He’d leave the birds, even though he was sure Jeongsan would like them. He could just imagine their conversations.

Oh my God this was so short. I hate it when I write short stuff. How the hell did this satisfy me as a chapter when I wrote it?? I love the idea of it, but it's soooo short.. I promise as this story continues, there will be less of me complaining. It's got to be annoying.
Thank you all for reading and I'll see you tomorrow!
