BIRTH.
elijah:
"ELIJAH!" You scream.
"WHAT?" He yells back.
"MY WATER BROKE."
Elijah speeds to your side and sits you on the couch.
"Get the overnight bag and the baby bag. Grab Stella and Toby and take them to the car now." You instruct, clutching your stomach.
Elijah runs around the house at vamp speed and does everything you ask. Then, he comes to guide you to the car.
You climb in the passenger seat and begin your breathing exercises.
"We're almost there, darling." Elijah says, gripping your hand which you gladly squeeze back.
When you arrive, Elijah tells Toby to unstrap Stella and guide her to follow us.
As soon as we step foot in the emergency room, the nurses take you away to the birthing floor.
Elijah takes Toby and Stella to the elevator and meets you up there. Rebekah met Elijah, taking the kids off his hands until further notice.
Elijah comes in just before you're about to push.
"You're ten centimeters dilated. You can start pushing, sweetie." The doctor says.
Sixteen agonizing pushes later, out comes your newest edition to the family.
"It's a girl!" The doctor says, although you both already knew the gender.
You lay back in exhaustion as they take the baby away to be cleaned.
"You did wonderful, darling." Elijah says, kissing your sweaty cheek.
A couple of minutes later, the nurse brings in your new daughter wrapped in a pink bundle of blankets.
"Your little girl is a very healthy seven pounds and four ounces, nineteen inches." She says, handing Elijah the baby.
"What's the name?" She asks, wanting to write it down for her birth certificate.
"Harper Farryn Mikaelson." You respond.
"Beautiful. Congratulations!" She says, walking back out into the hallway.
"Let me see my baby, 'Lijah." You whine.
"She's so beautiful." Elijah says, handing Harper over to you.
"She's got your eyes and your nose." You say.
"She's definitely got your everything else though." Elijah chuckles.
"Mommy!" Stella yells, running towards you.
Elijah picks her up just in time, so she doesn't hurt Harper.
"Tobias? Come in here, silly." You say.
Toby reluctantly comes in the room, but when he does, he smiles like a child on Christmas.
"I want to see my new niece!" Rebekah squeals.
"Toby, Stells, Rebekah, this is Harper." You smile, holding out your precious little girl.
"She looks like a biscuit!" Stella giggles, causing everyone in the room to laugh.
jeremy:
the birth of your son was now a waiting game. your due date was three days ago, and that's about how long you've been in this god forsaken hospital.
"Looks like you're five centimeters dilated, sweet pea. Are you feeling any contractions?" The nurse asks.
"Mild ones, nothing like I've ever felt having the girls." You tell her.
"Well, your vitals are normal and everything seems fine to me." She says.
"I feel fin- OH." You say, moaning in pain.
"Contraction?" She asks, hopefully.
"Big one."
"It's about time." Jeremy says, walking in the room and handing you your coffee.
"She won't need coffee for a while. This baby should be here anytime now." The nurse says, calling in the doctors.
"Eight centimeters. You're almost there sweetie." She promises.
Your contractions were getting worse by the second, and it was painful as hell. Squeezing Jeremy's hand helped a little bit, but you were really hoping for some morphine or something.
The nurse pops a couple of pills in your mouth, and you lay back against the bed pillow and wait.
You felt your lower areas expanding and extreme pain followed.
Doctors rush into the room and set up quickly.
"I see a baby's head!" The nurse smiles.
"Push, sweetie." The doctor says.
You groan and push as hard as you can, probably squeezing the circulation from Jeremy's hands.
"One more big push!"
You comply and push as hard as possible, then relax as you feel less pain.
The cries of your new baby fill the room, and is swept away by some nurses.
"Congratulations! It's a boy!" The nurse says.
"Yay! I finally have a son!" Jeremy says excitedly.
"We. We finally have a son." You say annoyed.
"True, I'm sorry. You did a good job, y/n." Jeremy replies.
"The baby's name?" The nurse asks, walking back in with a keyboard.
"We never even agreed on the name we wanted." You sigh.
"Grayson Nathaniel Gilbert." Jeremy says confidently.
"Works for me." You reply tiredly.
"Here's your baby."
Baby Grayson was handed to you, and you instantly fell in love at the sight of his face.
He was the most beautiful little boy you've ever seen.
"He's so precious." You say, sticking your finger in baby Grayson's hand. Grayson squeezes your finger and holds it.
"Better call Elena. I want Avery and Nay Nay to meet him." You tell Jeremy.
"Already on their way." He says, taking Grayson from your arms and sitting in the rocking chair with him.
Your family is finally complete.
stefan:
"ELLA BLAKE. DON'T PLAY SOFTBALL IN MY GARDEN!" You yell outside your window.
"SORRY MOM." Ella yells back.
"Olivia, sweetie, why don't you practice ballet in your bedroom, and not the kitchen?" You sigh.
"Okay Mom." She says, scurrying off to the upstairs.
"I'm home!"
Oh thank god.
"Daaaaaddddy!" Your youngest daughter, Mia, yells.
"Hi Mi Mi." Stefan says, picking up Mia and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Hello gorgeous." Stefan says, putting Mia down and walking over to you.
"Hi." You say, wiping the sweat from your fore head and leaning against the counter.
"Why don't you sit down, and I'll make dinner tonight?" Stefan suggests.
"I was going to make you do it anyways." You reply, walking into the living room and sitting down on the love seat.
"Mommy really needs a vacation." You say, talking to the fetus in your stomach.
"Have you been alone all day?" Stefan asks.
"Yes, I have. It sucks. My ankles are swollen and I'm losing my voice and baby Connor is kicking like hell." You say stressfully.
"I thought I told Caroline to come over and help." Stefan frowns.
"She had an emergency." You sigh, laying against the couch.
"DADDD."
"Don't yell, Smella." Stefan says sternly.
"Sorry, I just need someone to come and play sports with me." Ella says.
"I have a better idea." Stefan says.
"What's that?" I ask.
"Mi Mi! Olivia!" He yells.
They both come tumbling down stairs and land on the couch.
"Hah! I beat you!" Olivia sneers at Mia.
"You always do." Mia replies in a sad tone.
"Go get in the car. I'm taking you for ice cream." Stefan tells the girls.
"ICECREAMOMGHAISJDK YES ICE CREAM OHMYGID YES DADDY THIAMK TOU OMATO ANOSKSKSS." Was all you heard from that jumble of whatever.
"I think I'll stay here. Damon is coming over to help me decorate the nursery. Also, I'm too tired to go anywhere." You complain.
"I thought I was going to help you set up the nursery?" Stefan frowns.
"Stefan, I love you so much. However, your taste is shit." You say, laughing to yourself.
"Thanks babe." He replies.
"I believe you have three princesses waiting for you?" You say, gesturing towards the door.
"Bye. Text me!" He yells, slamming the door.
--
"Hell-oo Mrs. Salvatore."
"Hi Damon." You say, getting up from you comfortable position and walking to where he was.
"Ready to set this up?" He asks excitedly.
"I've been ready for six months." You reply sassily.
Damon rolls his eyes in response.
"Why don't you and Elena adopt?" You ask.
"No. I don't like kids." Damon says.
"You're great with the girls. Seriously." You say, picking up some paint from the corner of the room.
"You're not doing the nursery baby blue?" Damon asks.
"No. I'm doing it a light green because that's cute." You reply, opening the can of paint to begin.
"When are you due?" Asks Damon.
"Like next week." You chuckle.
"That's soon. I don't think you should be painting." Damon says, pulling the paint brush from your grasp.
"I'll be fine." You promise.
"Okay. I don't think paint fumes are good for pregnant women either. I don't want to piss Stefan off, either." Damon laughs.
You just hum in response, and continue painting the back wall.
"Did you just piss yourself?" Damon asks.
"No what are you--oh my god! My water broke!" You yell, dropping the paint brush on the floor.
"WHAT DO I DO?!" Damon yells frantically.
WHAT A DUMBASS.
You grab the overnight bag and Connor's bag from the top of the dresser and waddle out into the living room.
"Call Stefan, and drive me to the hospital." You instruct.
"Hey, bro. Your wife is about to give birth in my beautiful car. Please hurry to the hospital." Damon says, hanging up the phone and putting the car in gear.
"Can you like, push the baby back up there if you have to?" Damon asks, jokingly.
"No! Damon, what the fuck?!" You say.
"Kidding, kidding. I'm pushing one hundred and can't go any faster than I am now." Damon says.
Five minutes later, you arrive at the hospital.
Damon grabs the bags and your hand, leading you into the ER.
"WHERE IS STEFAN?" You yell aggravated.
"Is this your wife?" A nurse asks.
"No, she's my brothers wife." Damon replies.
The nurses behind the counter chuckle and you give them a death glare.
"This baby is coming now." The nurse yells, speeding you to the top floor.
"FUCK." You scream.
Damon rushes behind the both of you, into a random empty room.
"Is Stefan on his way?" You ask, laying down basically naked on the bed in front of Damon.
Damon checks his phone to see no missed calls or texts from his brother.
"He'll be here soon." Damon says, excusing himself from the room.
"STEFAN YOU'D BETTER GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE NOW." You hear Damon yell from the hall.
Little did you know, Stefan decided to take the girls to the movie theater and sent you a text message on your phone which was accidentally left at home.
"DAMON I NEED YOU." You yell.
Damon rushes back into the room as five different doctors rush around trying to prepare everything as quickly as possible.
"Hold my hand." You cry.
"I'm too old for this." Damon complains. You squeeze the shit out of his hand and he flinches.
"You're a vampire. Suck it up!" You scream.
The doctors pause and look at you weirdly.
"She's kidding." Damon smiles.
"Okay sweetie, we don't have time to give you an epidural, this baby is already crowning." The nurse says.
"Push!"
"PUSH Y/N."
"I AM DAMON!" You yell.
"CALM DOWN."
"NO."
Damon and you argue, and you don't even realize the nurses have pulled Connor out.
A silent Connor...
"The umbilical cord is wrapped around his neck!" The nurse yells.
"What the hell?" Damon says, running over to the newborn child.
"He's dying!" Another nurse screams.
By now you were sobbing, and you wanted Stefan.
The nurse cut the cord from Connor's neck and rushed him into the next room.
"It'll be okay, Y/N." Damon says, pushing the hair out of your face.
"I want Stefan." You say.
"I don't know where he is." Damon admits, sadly.
Damon pulls a chair next to your bed and sits next to you, taking your hand in his and rubbing his fingers over your knuckles soothingly.
"Y/N!" Caroline says, running into the room.
"Oh Caroline. They took Connor away and I don't know where he is." You sob.
"Do you know where Stefan is?" Damon asks Caroline.
She shakes her head and frowns.
A nurse returns, breaking the timeless silence.
"Your baby boy is very healthy. His lungs are a little damaged, but other than that, he's a six pound twelve ounce healthy baby boy." She smiles.
"Can I see him?" You ask excitedly.
"He's on his way. Have you decided a name?" She asks.
"Yes. Connor uhh-- Care, a little help with the middle name?" You ask gratefully.
"Connor Joel Salvatore!" Caroline says happily.
The nurse smiles and walks out of the room. A couple moments later, a doctor wheels Connor to the side of your bed, wrapped in a baby blue blanket.
"Ew, baby blue." Damon teases you.
"Should be light green!" You smile.
"Y/N. Oh my god." Stefan says, rushing over to you.
"Hello Mr. Salvatore. Nice to see you've finally showed up." You joked.
"I'm so sorry. I'm here now. We can deliver the baby now." Stefan says in a rush, not even noticing Caroline holding Connor.
Caroline giggled and shoved a happy Connor in a shocked Stefan's arms.
"I MISSED THE BIRTH OF MY CHILD?!"
"Shh! You're gonna scare Con!" You whisper yell.
"I'm a horrible Father." Stefan says, while looking at Connor.
"No, you're not. All that matters is we're here now, and Connor is healthy." You smile.
"The girls want to see him, like really bad." Stefan says.
"I'll go get them." Damon offers.
"Get me ice cream too!" You yell.
Stefan's face falters and then says, "I forgot your ice cream."
matty:
"IF YOU DO NOT GET ME TO THIS HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW, I'M GOING TO HAVE THIS BABY IN THE CAR!"
"I'm trying!" Matt yells, nearly pushing ninety on the Interstate.
"TRY HARDER. THIS BABY IS COMING NOW."
Charlie and Jack were in the back seat, crying.
A worried Jeremy was in the backseat with them, trying everything he could to calm them down.
"I'm never having children, if this is what it's like." Jeremy sighs.
"I should've swallowed." You say angrily.
Matt can't help but laugh and smirk.
You stick your hand under your maternity dress, and feel exactly what you don't want to. A head.
"Matt." You say quietly.
"Yes?" He asks, not taking his eyes off the road.
"The baby's head is right there." You say, even quieter.
"Oh god." Jeremy says.
Matt speeds off the Interstate exit and runs two red lights, nearly killing you all, to get to the hospital.
You cry out in agony, as you can't help but to push.
Matt veers into the hospital parking lot, slamming on the breaks at the entrance where the ambulances drop people off.
"I can't get out, I feel it's shoulders!" You scream.
Matt runs into the hospital and seconds later, three nurses run outside.
"Oh, this baby is coming now. We've got to deliver it here." One of the nurses says and she inspects you.
"WHAT?!" You scream.
Nurses run out into the parking lot with supplies and a gurney.
Jeremy grabs Charlie and Jack, taking them wherever, away from me.
"Matt!"
"I'm here y/n." He smiles.
"Baby's head is crowning!" The nurse says.
"Push, love." One of the other nurses say.
You push until you can't breath, and then feel a big weight disappear.
"You had a girl!" The nurse says excitedly, instantly rushing the baby inside the hospital.
Matt and two EMT's lay you on the gurney, and rush you in the doors, whisking you to the third floor.
--
An hour later, you've been fixed up, and Jack and Charlie were coloring in the corner.
You were holding you new baby girl in your arms, with Matt by your side.
"Riley Anne Donovan." You say, linking your hand with Matt's.
"I could've sworn it was a boy." Matt jokes.
kol:
"Oh my." You sigh, your seven month old baby was surely kicking today.
"Only two more months, y/n. Then you can relieve yourself with a nice margarita." You say to yourself.
"Darling, you're already considering drinking?" Kol teases.
"Yes, I am. You try having four children and being pregnant with a fifth." You scoff.
"I know, I know. You're a brave woman and I love you very much." Kol says, kissing your cheek.
"Shit, it's 6:00!" Kol says, checking the time on his phone.
"Olly! Come down and get ready for soccer practice!" Kol screams.
"Daddy, can I play soccer?" Rowan asks Kol.
"Of course, little love. I'm sure we can sign you up." Kol smiles at her.
"Anything to keep Rowan busy. She's so hyper!" You exclaim.
"Yayyy!" Rowan squeals with delight.
"Keep it down, Row. Mummy is very tired." Kol says sternly.
"How about I take you with Olly and I? You can see a real soccer game!" Kol says excitedly.
"Ooh, yay!" She says.
"I'm ready, Dad." Oliver says, nearly falling down the stairs.
"Why is she coming?!" Oliver exclaims.
"Because she's your sister. Be nice." You say to Oliver.
"Bye darling. Goodbye Finn." Kol says, kissing your son Levi's cheek.
"BYE DELILIAH JO!" Kol screams.
Not even five minutes after Kol leaves, You start to get horrible cramps in my side.
You groan in pain and Levi asks, "What's wrong Mommy?"
"The baby is just kicking Momma. I'll be okay, Finn." You reply.
He doesn't respond, just continues to play with his trucks.
"Mom. Can I have a snack?" Delilah asks.
"Yeah, Lilah."
--
"Mom?"
You vision was blurred because of the obscure pain you were feeling.
"Momma?"
You didn't feel a thing when you fell. Because everything in your body was numb and fuzzy.
"MOMMY!"
"L-Lilah- call 911." You say quietly.
Delilah doesn't hesitate, as she grabs Levi and carries him into the kitchen where the landline is.
You don't know how many minutes pass, but soon enough, EMT's were surrounding you and lifting you on to a gurney.
"She's going into labor!" You hear an EMT yell.
"Get those kids, they can ride in the front." Another yells.
Levi and Lilah were coaxed into the front of the ambulance, as you were wheeled inside.
"This baby is very premature. She's only about thirty three weeks along!"
"We're going to have to pull the baby out here. Get the supplies ready."
You wanted to scream or cry, but you couldn't do either. You wanted Kol to come and be here for you. However, he doesn't even know what's going on right now.
"The baby is crowning. Get the supplies. We're not losing this child!"
"If you can hear me love, push." An EMT tells you.
You push as hard as your body will allow, quickly running out of oxygen.
The EMT places an oxygen mask on your mouth and tells you to push yet again.
Two measly pushes later, and out comes your premie baby.
"It's a girl!"
Another girl! Oh how Olly and Finn will be disappointed.
Your thoughts were interrupted by a light shining in the corner.
"She's going unconscious!"
That was the last thing you heard before you saw black.
--
"She's kinda cute, I guess."
Olly?
"She's perfect."
Kol?
You try as hard as you can to force yourself awake, but you can't.
"Daddy, when is Mommy going to wake up?"
"I don't know, Finn. She's taking a nice nap." Kol replies warily.
"I want Mommy." Rowan complains.
"I know you do, darling. But Momma's very tired." Kol sighs.
"Olly. Take Delilah Jo and little Row down to the cafeteria to get a cupcake." Kol says.
The little pitter-patter of feet scatter across the floor and out the door.
"I'm so sorry I couldn't be here for you love. I'll be able to fix you soon. I've got to wait for the moment when the children aren't looking." Kol says quietly.
"This is little Astrid Noel. She looks almost identical to you." Kol says.
You wished so hard you could do something, anything.
"Finn! Look at that airplane!" Kol says.
Within the flash of a second, your body has awoke. You open your eyes to see Kol wiping off your lips.
"K-Kol?"
"I'm right here love." He smiles, taking your hand in his.
"Is the baby okay?" You ask.
"She's very ill, because of coming out so early. But she's a Mikaelson, so she'll be just fine." He promises.
"I sure do hope so." You reply, smiling as you stare at your small child in the incubator.
"Mommy's awake!"
kai:
"Seriously, Kai. I can fucking deliver this child with no pain. I've delivered five naturally. I can handle another." You nearly yell at Kai from your hospital bed.
"I didn't say you couldn't, sweet heart." Kai monotonously responds.
"I'm sorry. I'm just stressed. How did you grow up with such a big family? I only had one sister." You say.
"Well, I killed four of them." He says cheerily.
"Which I feel terrible about, for some reason. Dammit, Luke." Kai sighs.
"Jo and Liv were kind enough to watch all five of the kids today. So you'd better thank them really good." You say sternly.
"They're my sisters. They'd do anything for me!" Kai replies.
"Actually, they'd do anything for me and the kids." You say cockily.
"You're so full of yourself, but I love you." Kai responds, kissing your cheek.
"You're nine centimeters dilated. We can deliver this baby soon." The nurse says weirdly.
"Great, thanks!" You respond happily.
She walks out of the room quickly, leaving you with Kai.
"I should be feeling pain." You sigh.
"Please just let me continue to use my magic. Please? Every other birth you've felt pain and I don't like that. Just let this be a pain free birth for once!" Kai argues.
"Fine, fine. I'm not doing this for you either! I'm doing this for myself!" You reply hastily.
The nurse quickly comes in with what seems like the entire staff team at the hospital.
"Everyone is just so amazed at your high pain tolerance." The nurse explains.
"I'm sure they are." Kai says happily.
You glare at him, as the doctors inspect yo vagina.
(When you write three thousand words and you're only halfway done, you're kind of in the mood to joke around at this fucking point.)
"Ten centimeters! This baby is already crowning." The doctor says.
The entire room was filled with people watching you in awe.
"Do you not feel a thing?" The doctor asks.
"No, I don't"
"Damn girl. When I was in here giving birth to my son, I was screaming like I just had the best sex in my life!" One of the nurses says, and laughs.
You and Kai both laugh really hard.
"Okay give me a big push." The doctor says.
Might as well show off, since you're not feeling any pain at all.
You lay back, relaxed, and put your hands behind your head, pushing as hard as you could, but no pain.
"That's my girl." Kai smiles.
"Baby is almost here."
The room was filled with nervous chatter and some excited squeals.
You yawn dramatically and say, "This baby here yet?"
"One more huge push, it should be here." The doctor smiles.
You instantly hear the cries of your baby, causing you to smile.
"She's one healthy little girl." The doctor says, handing you your baby to look at.
"She's as ripe as a peach in summertime Georgia." Kai says, wiping his fake tears.
"You're an idiot." You reply, as they take your daughter away from you.
"Can I name her? You've named every other kid in my family, and I'm sick of it." Kai complains.
"Sure. Emma thinks you should name her Alexandria." You reply.
"Emma sucks."
"Got it! Octavia Marie." Kai says happily.
"I don't like Marie. However, good job on Octavia. It's cute." You say happily.
"Octavia Ann?"
"No."
"Octavia Grace?"
"No."
"Oh for lords sake woman!" Kai says frustratedly.
"Octavia Paige Parker." You say happily.
"I actually like that, let's go with that." Kai says.
"Here's your healthy baby girl." A nurse says, handing you a pink swaddle.
"She's seven pounds and nine ounces. A name?" The nurse asks.
"Octavia Paige Parker." You and Kai say at the same time.
"Unique, I love it!"
"You couldn't even let me tell the nurse her name?"
"No, I couldn't. I love you, asshole." You say, kissing Kai on the lips.
"I love you too, brat." Kai replies happily.
klaus:
"I can't believe I agreed to this." You sigh.
"It says it's less painful." Rebekah replies.
"If it isn't, I'm going to kill all of you." You say angrily, which causes Klaus to laugh because we all know he can't be killed.
"My child is going to be born underwater. What if she turns into a mermaid or something?" You argue.
"I don't believe mermaids are real." Elijah butts in.
"Apparently everything else is. So why not? Shoutout to Big Foot." You say sarcastically.
"Your personality sure changes when you're in labor." Kol points out from across the room.
"It's either scream in pain, or turn into a sarcastic cunt." You reply sassily.
"I personally love it." Klaus says, smirking.
"Oh please brother, if Y/N stepped on a leaf pile, you'd be completely intrigued." Rebekah teases him.
Your contractions start to get worse, making you bite your lip and clench your fists.
"Can all of you like, get out before I lose my shit?" You nearly yell.
Elijah immediately compiles. However, Mr. Kol thinks it's hilarious to do the exact opposite of what you wish.
"No, I want to see a real live birth."
"Someone stab him and stick him in a coffin please." You say.
"Get out, Kol." Klaus says firmly.
"Fine." He says crankily, getting up and walking out of the room.
"You too, Klaus." You say.
"What? Why?!" Klaus protests.
"Fine, you can st-" your cut off my a sharp feeling in yo pussy.
(Honestly, I don't know what to say here. I just say pussy or cunt because those are funnier.)
"Dammit, ouch." You moan in pain.
"I can see this baby's head." Rebekah says.
"I want to s- oh that's disgusting." Klaus says.
"KLAUS!" You scream at him.
"WHAT? it's truly horrid!"
"NO. NOT THAT. YOU DID THIS. YOU IMPREGNATED ME AND ARE CAUSING ME TO GO THROUGH SUCH UNSPEAKABLE PAIN YOU FUCKING CUNT."
"She's coming out, push Y/N." Rebekah says.
You push as hard as you can four times, until you were worn out.
You feel the baby sliding out of the canal, slowly.
"Her shoulders and head are out. Keep pushing." Rebekah says.
"OH COME ON. THE OTHER TWO CAME OUT EASIER THAN THIS!" You yell dramatically.
"Just give me one big push." She says.
You comply, feeling a big relief when you hear a splash. Rebekah lifts your baby out of the water and wraps her in a yellow blanket.
"She's so cute! This makes me want children." Rebekah says, cooing over your daughter.
"You'd be a terrible Mother. Let my wife have our child." Klaus says annoyed.
Rebekah rolls her eyes and gently hands you your little girl.
"I'm bad with names." Klaus admits.
"We know." You and Rebekah say at the same time.
"How about Piper?" Kol says, coming into the room.
"Not too bad, for a dumbass." You say.
"You're not in labor anymore, you don't have an excuse to be a sarcastic cunt anymore." Kol replies.
"I'm going to end your life." Klaus says, glaring at Kol.
"Piper Lynn." Rebekah says, breaking the awkward silence.
"Works for me." Klaus shrugs.
"I feel so important." Kol smiles.
"First time in a century." You reply sassily.
"Can I have anything in this house?!" Kol screams, walking out of the room.
damon:
"Damon Salvatore, I do love you very much. I really do. However, right now I would love to drive a wooden steak through your cold dead heart if you do not move out of my peripheral vision."
"Jeez, Mom." Sapphire says.
"Well, I have every right to watch my show." You reply.
"Momma's right." Scarlett butts in.
"Momma's always right." Damon adds.
"You're suddenly intelligent now?" You ask Damon, smirking.
"You're a smart ass." Damon retorts.
"You love my ass."
"I really do." Damon smirks.
You hear a banging at the door of the boarding house, causing you to eternally groan. Seriously? Who else is interrupting your show?
"Damon. Is Y/N here?"
Bonnie?
"Yeah she's right on the couch." Damon replies.
"We've got to go, now." Bonnie says to me.
"Why?" I ask weirdly, standing up.
"I came to bring over some more gelato for you, but I can sense that the baby is coming." Bonnie responds.
"The baby isn't due till tomorrow. Dammit, I just wanted to watch my show." You sigh dramatically.
"Let's get you to the hospital." Bonnie says, helping me out the front door.
"I'm not even showing signs of- OH MY FUCK." You scream, grabbing your side.
"I was right, as usual." Bonnie says cockily.
"Let's go! Let's go!" Damon says, running around the house at vamp speed and grabbing everything we need.
"Please be a son, please be a son!" Damon says, while sticking Scarlett in her car seat.
"Please be a sister, please be a sister!" Sapphire mocks him.
"You're cute, lets go." He replies.
Bonnie follows us up to the hospital in her car, my contractions getting worse.
"Do those breathing practices you did with Stefan." Damon suggests.
"I need Stefan. Call Stefan!" You pressure him.
"I can't! I'm driving! Here." Damon replies, shoving you his cell phone.
Damon is pushing eighty on the Interstate, trying to get us to Mystic Falls hospital.
The phone is ringing, and dragging on and on, until Stefan finally answers.
"What?" He asks, rudely.
"STEFAN!!"
"Y/N? What's wrong?" Stefan asks, concerned.
"THE BABY IS COMING NOW. LIKE RIGHT N- OW FUCK- NOW." You scream into the phone.
"Okay, I'm on my way. I'll be there right after you guys." Stefan says, hanging up the phone.
"Why do you want Stefan?" Damon asks.
"Because he's been with me through this entire pregnancy and he's like my coach." You reply.
"Why couldn't I be your coach?" Damon asks.
"Just drive! This hurts!" You respond hastily.
Ten horrible pain filled minutes later, you arrive at the hospital with Bonnie on your tail.
They quickly wheel you up to the delivery room, and wait until you are ready to start pushing.
Of course, it seemed the entire town of Mystic Falls was in the waiting room with you. Bonnie told you she could see Lexi sitting beside Stefan and mocking his every anxious move.
"She said it was like the child was his." Bonnie says, laughing.
"Well, she's right. Maybe the child is Stefan's." Damon replies.
You and Bonnie rolled your eyes.
"This baby is very stubborn. You're still three centimeters dilated." The nurse says, checking you.
"We've been in here for three hours. You'd think it'd want to come out and see the world already." Damon says.
"My Mom was in labor for nine hours with me." You say.
"Might as well move in." Stefan jokes, walking into the room.
"Still no baby?" Elena asks, sadly.
"No. Contractions are still mild, and my vitals are normal, kind of low too. It's been the same for two hours." You sigh.
"It should be soon." Bonnie promises.
--
Four hours later, it is now ten o'clock at night, and here you are. You are now six centimeters dilated, and still waiting anxiously.
Everyone had left except Bonnie, Damon, and Stefan. Caroline and Elena agreed to spend the night with the girls at the house.
You had fallen asleep, and everyone else was awake and chattering.
"Wait, wait. Shut up." Bonnie says suddenly.
"It's coming." Bonnie says excitedly.
You wake up at the mention of the baby.
"Like now?" You ask.
"Yes! It's on its way!" She squeals.
"I feel nothi- OH." You scream.
A nurse hears you from the hallway and quickly comes into check you out.
"Nine centimeters. You're almost ready to push sweetie." She smiles.
The nurse presses a button and in comes three doctors.
You squeeze Damon and Bonnie's hands. You were scared, because anything can happen during a natural birth. Also excited, because a new child! However, the emotion you were really showing was sadness. You knew this was the last child you were going to have. You'd better enjoy the experience while you can.
"The baby is starting to crown." One of the doctors says.
"This is so exciting! I can see a real life birth!" Bonnie says, smiling at you.
"It's amazing. Life being born." Stefan adds in.
"Okay honey, imma need you to push." The male nurse says.
You give thirteen agonizing pushes, and you'd only gotten the shoulders out.
"This baby really likes staying inside." Stefan says.
"So does this guy." Damon smirks.
"I'm gonna kill you later." You tell him.
--
It'd been twenty minutes of pushing, and the baby just didn't want to come out.
"It's almost out. One more big push." The nurse says.
You push with all your might, and wait until you hear the cries of your newborn child.
"You did great, Y/N." Stefan says.
"I'm proud of you baby." Damon says, kissing you.
"It's a little boy!" The doctor says, handing us our son.
"Score one for the big leagues." Damon says.
"He's very healthy." The nurse promises.
"Name ideas?" You ask them.
"Sammy?" Bonnie suggests.
"I don't like it." Damon says.
"Sawyer?" You ask Damon.
"Sounds like an STI, ew." You reply.
"What about Stefan the II?" Stefan smirks.
"Perfect!" You joke.
"How about Sterling?" Bonnie asks.
"I like it, I like it a lot." Damon replies.
"Sterling what?"
"Odysseus." Stefan says blandly.
"Do us all a favor and never have children, brother."
"Sterling Alexander Salvatore. That's good." You say.
"I like it. He looks like a Sterling." Bonnie says.
"Yay! I finally have a son. We can play football and go bar hopping together." Damon says happily.
"He was born ten minutes ago. You're going to be stuck playing dolls and gymnastics for a while." You reply.
"Dammit."
enzo:
To say Enzo has been overprotective throughout your pregnancy, was an understatement. He was psycho about your safety. He'd kill or nearly kill anyone who'd dare lay a hand on you, or bother you in any way, shape, or form.
Today was your sixth day in the hospital, and you were fucking bored. Enzo had compelled the entire staff to take care of you, and admit you earlier than needed.
"I miss our house." You whine.
"Love, I know. But I want what's best for you and this child." Enzo replies sweetly.
"You're quite lucky you're so gorgeously sweet, or else I'd stab you." You say, kissing his cheek.
"Feel anything abnormal today?" He asks hopefully.
Enzo was so excited to have another child, but also very scared for your health as well as the child's.
"Everything has gone smooth sailing so far. I'm sure that I'll be okay. I was really young the first time, you know." You reply.
"I know, I know. Only seventeen. I just don't want you hurt. I love you, Y/N."
"I love you too." You reply.
"Damon is brining Gabriel round later. He really misses you." Enzo says.
"I know. He's such a Momma's boy." You smirk.
"It's really not fair." Enzo protests.
"I'm sure this baby will be different." You promise.
--
"Ouch." You say, wincing in pain.
"What is it? Are you hurting?" Enzo asks in a concerning tone.
"Yeah, I think it's a small contraction. Means the baby wants out." You say, smiling.
You were pretty scared to experience your first natural birth, since your birthing process with Gabriel didn't go as planned.
"I'll go and grab a nurse." Enzo says, getting up and leaving the room.
He brings a nurse back, who rushes to you and checks your vitals, stomach, and pusssaaaayy.
"Looks like you're going into labor. Your water has already broken. Two centimeters dilated." She says.
"I'll start preparing a team." She smiles, leaving the room.
"They didn't have a birthing team on standby? What bastards." Enzo scoffs.
"Baby, you're seeming more stressed than I am." You say, grabbing his hand in yours.
A doctor comes in with information about your birthing process, and tools for the baby and you to remain safe.
"You're going quickly through now. Your contractions will become more severe. Would you like morphine?" He asks.
"Yeah, that would be nice." You say quietly, biting your tongue.
A nurse comes in minutes later with a needle as long as Enzo's lifespan.
Enzo takes one look at the needle and swallows anxiously, "Hell no."
"Yes. I'm in so much pain, you have no idea." You cry.
"Fine, fine. Only for you." He says.
They inject the large needle into your back, and lay you back down on the bed.
"This is as close as I could come to a steak poking your heart." You say.
"Seven centimeters. Your baby sure is eager to come out." The nurse says.
"Everything is going to be okay." You reassure Enzo, as he looks like he's about to pass out.
"Oh I know. I made sure everything was going to be okay." He replies cockily.
"Damon is here. I can hear his annoying remarks to the nurse on the bottom level." Enzo snorts.
"Don't let him bring Gabe up here. He'll be scarred for life!" You exclaim.
"He isn't. He can hear every word you say." Enzo responds.
"Okay honey, start pushin!" The nurse says.
Enzo grips your hand in his as you agonizingly begin to push your child from your womb.
"Another big push. I can see the baby's head." She says.
You comply and push with all your might.
"A couple more now."
"Oh dear lord how many more pushes does she need?" Enzo exclaims.
"As many that's goin get this baby out her." The nurse sasses back, causing you to semi-laugh while you moan in pain.
"One more push, you can do it Miss Y/N." The nurse who's name you didn't know, said.
You scream loudly and push as hard as you can, until you hear the screaming, and you mean screaming coming from your child.
"It's a girl!"
The nurse staff wheels your daughter out of the room to be cleaned off.
"I'm so proud of you, gorgeous." Enzo says, kissing the top of your sweaty head.
"Ya did good sweet pea. I'm just gonna stitch you up now." The nurse says.
You nod and start to drift off into a small nap.
--
"Hello little one. I'm your Daddy."
You slowly open your eyes and see your precious child, in Enzo's arms with him cooing over her.
"I see you're awake." Enzo says, not taking his eyes off the newborn child.
"It was a well deserved nap." You reply, yawning.
"She's so beautiful. Looks so much like you." He says, handing you the bundle of joy.
"I hope you don't mind, I've already picked a name for her." He says shyly.
Oh no, this'll be good.
"What is it?" You ask nervously.
"Harlow Rae Ellen."
You were stunned, to say the least. Who knew Enzo could be so good with children's names!
"It's adorable. You did good Renny." You tease him.
"Aw, Y/N. I love it when you piss him off." A voice says.
"Damon? When did you get here?" You ask tiredly.
"Like forever ago. I've had to entertain your son for a millennium." He exaggerates.
"Speaking of my son.."
"He's taking a shit, no need to worry." Damon says.
"You're quite annoying." Enzo says.
"Oh, I know."
Harlow was going to have quite the rude awakening when she grows up.
tyler:
Being pregnant with twins in no way, was easy. It was completely different from your first pregnancy with Bentley. This was a whole new ballgame, with many more obstacles.
"Tyler! Help me!" You yell up the stairs.
"What is it, babe?" He asks, jogging down the stairs.
"I can't reach down to tie my shoes." You whine.
Tyler tries very hard not to laugh, but guides you to the living room to help you.
"Mom, can we leave yet?" Your son asks.
"Yeah B, just wait. I can't put my shoes on." You say, slightly annoyed at your son's beggar attitude.
"Let's go!" Bentley pressures you.
"Ben. Your mom is stressed, we're going as fast as we can here." Tyler says sternly to your son.
"All done babe." Tyler says, lifting you from the couch.
You stand up and attempt to hug Tyler, but it doesn't work out so well because of how huge you are.
"I'm a freakin whale." You complain, grabbing Bentley's shoulders to help you to the car.
"You're not a whale. You're beautiful and glowing." Tyler responds cheekily.
"Awww, I love you." You say, pouting your lips.
Bentley gags in the back seat and says, "Ew."
--
We dropped Bentley off at his friends for the night, because we had to get ready and prepare for the cesarean section tonight.
Since you're having twins, you can't go through with a regular birth like you did with your son.
We arrived at the hospital on time, and were immediately checked into our room.
The nurses prepared you to be wheeled into the OR as soon as possible. Tyler has been very supportive throughout the entire evening, and you've had tons of visitors.
"Ready sweetie?" The nurse, Rachel, asks you.
"Ready as I'll ever be." You reply nervously.
The doctors wheel you into the room with Tyler trailing behind.
They inject you with morphine, to reduce the pain, and numb your entire body.
Ten minutes went by, and they've start to operate on your stomach.
"We can see the children." One of the doctors says.
"Everything is going perfect." Rachel says to you and Tyler.
"Good, wouldn't want it any other way." Tyler replies, squeezing your hand, even though you can't feel it at all.
"We can see Baby A!" Rachel says excitedly to you. You give a weak smile in return.
"Baby A is out. She's a girl!" A doctor says. They quickly wheel the baby into the next room.
"Good job Miss Y/N." Rachel says to you.
"Only one more, doll face." Tyler tells you.
"Baby B is making an appearance." Rachel says, peeking over the blue curtain.
"Baby B is also a girl!" The doctor says, placing her into a small cart and wheeling her with the other one.
"They're beautiful, you did amazing love." Rachel says, patting you on the shoulder and leaving the room.
It takes only twenty minutes to stitch you back up. Tyler requested you go into recovery, and that's where they placed you.
You and Tyler have been anxiously waiting for your daughters to reappear.
Rachel comes into the room seconds later, tearing you from your thoughts. She's wheeling a small cart into the room, containing only one of your babies.
"This is Baby A. She's healthy as a horse. Seven pounds and two ounces, nineteen inches long." She says, grabbing the pink swaddle and handing you your little girl.
"She's beautiful." You whisper, letting your daughter wrap her hand around your much larger finger.
"Unfortunately, Baby B is in ICU. She had some lung failure, that's why she came out silent. There's an eighty five percent chance of survival. She's in good hands, and she will survive." Rachel reassures.
"They were approximately ten minutes and seven seconds apart." She adds.
You let out a shaky breath and nod. Rachel leaves the room quickly.
"Look at her. She looks just like you." You say to Tyler.
"Well, what do you think we ought to name her?" He asks happily.
"Bailee. Bailee Ava Lockwood." You reply.
"It's cute, I love it."
"Little Bailee, you're so cute. Momma loves you so much." You whisper in her ear.
--
Three days later, and Baby B has gotten so much better. You weren't experiencing anything but minor pain, and they checked you and Bailee out of the hospital.
Baby B, Brielle Ivy Lockwood, had to stay for another week though, just to make sure she'd be alright.
It was so hard for you and Tyler to leave your child, but you both knew it was for the best.
alaric:
"Ric. Seriously, get Addy and Atticus out of here before I go mad." You nearly yell at your husband.
"Okay, okay. I'll take them to Damon and Stefan's." He says.
You've been in the hospital for two days, waiting for your baby girl to make an appearance.
Alaric was way too excited, that he brought your kids over to visit, and now they've been here for over twenty four hours, and started getting annoying.
"Miss Saltzman, I'm sure your daughter will want to come out soon. She can't stay in there forever." Your nurse, Maria, says.
"I hope so too. I just want to go home." You sigh.
"It'll be soon enough."
--
Two hours later, and you were laying in your bed, watching some stupid teen TV show.
"Do you want some food?" Ric asks you.
"No. I want this baby out of me. I look like shit, feel like shit, and everything about this situation is shit." You say, smiling psychotically.
"You look like Kai, stop." Alaric jokes.
"Let's not speak of Satan while we're waiting for our child to be born." You reply.
Suddenly, you feel a sharp pain in your lower abdomen, just as Maria was entering the room.
"You alright, hon?" She asks.
"Yeah, yeah. Just some sharp pain. Kind of felt like a contraction." You tell Maria.
"Well, let's check." She says.
Maria puts on a glove and basically shoves her finger in your pussy.
"Your birth canal is a little wide. I can feel the baby rotating. She's getting ready to come out!" Maria shrieks excitedly.
"I'll call the doctor, you sit tight and remember to breath." She says, fleeing the room.
"It's finally happening!" Ric exclaims.
"Yeah, finally." You reply.
--
"Oh no." Maria says.
"What do you not know?!" You yell.
"The baby is breach! We're going to have to go into emergency c-section." The doctor says.
"What the hell is going on?" Asks Alaric.
"The baby is coming out feet first instead, we thought she wouldn't, but she changed her mind." Maria tells him.
They quickly unplug everything and wheel you down the hallway and through huge double doors.
Alaric wasn't allowed in the room with you.
It sucked, because they stabbed your side with numbing stuff, and you lay there limp as he watches from the window, looking helpless and sad.
Maria grabs your hand as the doctor makes an incision in your lower abdomen, down to your pusssaaaayy.
"We can pull the baby out now."
You hear the sudden cry of your child, only to see her being wheeled away.
"You're loosing a lot of blood honey, stay with me." Maria says, shining a light into your eye that is somehow causing you more pain than it should.
You can see Alaric pounding on the door, and you slowly fade into a blissful sleep.
--
Your head was pounding as you awaken, and see nothing but concerned faces surrounding you.
"Told you she's not dead. I was just about to feed her my blood." Damon says.
"You know she doesn't like to cheat death, Damon." Alaric replies.
"Maybe you guys should back up and give Y/N space."
Stefan is here too?
"R-Ric?"
"I'm right here cupcake." He says grabbing your hand.
"What h-happened?" You ask quietly.
"You lost a lot of blood on the operating table, and they had to try and stitch you up really fast, but you'd already passed out." Ric explains.
"Where's my baby?"
"She's fine. She's also adorable. Good job." Caroline says, handing you your small child.
"Is everyone here?" You ask, scanning the room.
"Just about." Alaric smiles at you.
"Did you name her without me?" You asks sadly.
"I had to. I'm sorry." He sighs.
"Don't worry, I helped!" Caroline shrieks.
"Annalise Destinie Saltzman. Isn't it just cute?" Caroline says excitedly.
"Perfect, thank you Care." You reply.
"Hey! I helped." Alaric exclaims.
"Thank you too, Ric." You add.
"Anything for you."
silas:
Silas had insisted you have a natural birth with the twins, because anything could go wrong during surgery, and he didn't know what he'd do if he lost you.
Eldon and Kalle had been the biggest helps to you, during your long and agonizing nine months.
"I do love you boys, very much." You tell them, as they bring you breakfast in bed.
Acacia comes in behind them, and hands you a bouquet of flowers that she picked.
"Thank you sweetie. They're very pretty." You tell her.
"Dad helped me pick them out. He said you'd like them." She smiles, leaving the room with the boys.
"Silas!"
"Yes, my love?" He replies, walking into the room and kissing your cheek.
"Can you bring Milo, Thaddeus, and Irena to me? I want to tell them I love them before I start the birthing process." You tell him.
"Of course. I'll go fetch them." He says.
Minutes later, all of your children pour into the bedroom to greet you.
"Mommy, I colored you a picture. Do you like it?" Milo asks.
"Yes! I love it!" You say, kissing his cheek.
"I can't wait to meet my new siblings." Thaddeus says.
"I love you, Mommy." Irena butts in, sitting at the end of your bed.
"I love you too, Irena."
"I love you too, Thaddeus and Milo."
"Go play now, Mommy will see you tomorrow." Silas says, shooing the kids out of the master bedroom.
"Are you ready?"
"As I'll ever be." You reply.
--
A gruesome four hours later, only one of your baby's has come out. It was a healthy little boy, and you were so excited to finally meet him.
"Pietro Hendrix, that's what I'll name him." You smile.
Now it was time for your second child to come out. However, it was a stubborn one.
"I can see the child's head, but it doesn't want to come out!" He sighs.
You push with all your might and will, until you hear the cries of a screaming baby.
"It's another boy." Silas says cheekily, holding him up.
"He's adorable. What shall we name this one?" You ask.
"Luca Shane. In honor of the man who freed me, and allowed me to find you." Silas says.
He really is a romantic fucker sometimes.
"Perfect."
"I love you, Y/N."
"I love you, Silas."
