23 | Sleepover
2004 ― Tree Hill, North Carolina
Brooke and Brianna Davis were on their way to the record store because Brooke was going to sell some of her old CDs. Brianna kept trying to encourage her sister to get a job, but Brooke didn't want to. However, Brianna told her if their parents don't get their money back, she's not going to have a choice but to get a job.
"So, you take the CDs that you're sick of or never should have brought in the first place, and you bring them back and they...-" Brooke cut her sister off.
"...-And they give me cash," Brooke said and Brianna nodded.
"Yeah," She said.
"Maybe I can buy my bed back," Brooke said and Brianna laughed.
"Your bed? Brookie, just do what Beckham did and move in with Stephanie and Daniel. Or move in with Peyton, or hell, move in with me and Nathan. You're my sister. As long as you and Felix don't have sex in the house," She said.
"It's okay," Brooke said.
"So, Nathan, Beckham, and Lucas are going to Charlotte tonight and this is my first night alone in the apartment since we got married," Brianna said. Brooke gasped as she turned to her sister.
"My dear sister, do you know what we should do? Have a sleepover!" She exclaimed.
"Oh," Brianna said.
"Seriously, we haven't done it since middle school. We could invite Haley and Peyton and it would be a lot of fun," Brooke said. Brianna liked the idea. She would love to spend some time together just the four of them.
"I mean that does sound fun, but at the same time, I was kind of looking forward to having a night alone in the apartment, or at least just having you over. Sister bonding time," Brianna said. Brooke smiled while shaking her head.
"And I was kind of looking forward to being rich, but we all adjust, don't we?" Brooke said. Brianna rolled her eyes and the sisters laughed as they walked inside of the store. Brianna looked at Chris and he nodded to her.
"Hey, what's up?" Brianna greeted him.
"Hey," He said, and then he saw the box of CDs that Brooke was carrying. He went behind the counter. "Alright, what do you got?" He asked.
"Here," Brooke said as she put the box down on the counter. Chris started to file through the CDs, stopping at some points, and shaking his head.
"Crap... crap... crap... and more crap," Chris said. Once he was done going through all the CDs, the sisters looked at each other and sighed. "Lucky for you, crap sells," He said. Brooke scoffed and then Chris looked at her. "Did you or Haley listen to my demo yet?" He asked.
"I think Haley did, I told you, the theatre is my thing," She said.
"Well, I'm working on this other song, and I could really use some female vocals on. Maybe you could come by the studio and lay something down for me," Chris said.
"Huh?" Brooke asked in alarm.
"Track. Lay down a track," Brianna said.
"Right," Brooke said.
"I don't really sing. I write and I act, but you could ask Haley, I'm sure she'd be down," Brianna said and Chris nodded. "When do you need her?" She asked.
"Tonight, I'll get you the address," Chris said as he walked away. Brooke turned to her sister.
"Bree! The sleepover!" Brooke said.
"Brooke, we have our first run-through rehearsal for Macbeth, so I won't be right home right away anyway, it'll be fine," Brianna said. Brooke's eyes lit up as she nodded. It was Friday, so it was a perfect day to do the sleepover.
"Okay, okay fine. I'll come over early and set up,"

Brooke and Brianna were approaching Brianna's apartment with their arms linked together and then Brianna heard something shut close, and then Brooke was speaking. "It's another mechanic stripper!" Brooke exclaimed and then she shook her head. "No... just Lucas," She said and Brianna laughed.
Once the girls got closer, Nathan and Beckham came out from the same side, and Nathan walked over to his wife. "Okay, guess we're off," Nathan said.
"Well, go Bobcats, I guess," Brianna said and Nathan chuckled.
"Do you know anything about basketball?" Nathan asked.
"Apart from watching you guys play on the sidelines... no... I had to ask Beckham who you guys were going to see so I didn't look stupid," Brianna said and Nathan laughed.
"You're such a girl," Nathan said. Brianna shrugged and pulled Nathan closer.
"I know," Brianna said. Nathan leaned down and the two of them kissed. She didn't care that her siblings were all around them.
"Can we go now?" Lucas Scott asked. Nathan and Brianna broke apart when they heard him. "You saw her, she's back, let's go!" Lucas said to the boys and Brianna laughed.
"Wow, nice to see you too, best friend," Brianna said sarcastically.
"Come on, man! Look, this is the first night we've spent apart since we got married," Nathan said. Brianna smiled and gave him another kiss.
"Well, the girls are having a slumber party. Haley should be here...-" Brooke cut off when they saw Haley's car pulling in. "...-Right now," Brooke finished her thought. Haley parked, quickly got out, and walked over to Beckham.
"Okay, good, I didn't miss you guys," Haley said. She walked right up to Beckham and gave him a kiss. Brianna and Brooke laughed at her abruptness, and Beckham fell into the kiss. After a moment, they pulled away.
"Wow," Beckham said and Brianna laughed.
"Have a good time tonight," Haley said. Beckham smiled and Nathan turned to Brianna.
"Well, at least you won't be alone tonight," Nathan said and Brianna nodded. "So, what are you going to do until then?" Nathan asked.
"We have our first read-through for Macbeth today, so that'll probably be a couple of hours," Brianna said and Nathan smiled.
"I'm so proud of you, Bree. I can't wait to see the play," Nathan said and Brianna smiled.
"Hales, do you have to work today before the sleepover?" Beckham asked. Haley shook her head.
"No... I'll probably just be hanging out with Brooke since Bree has the readthrough. Right, Brooke?" Haley said. Brooke gave her friend a look. Brianna had passed on Chris' message for Haley about studio time and Haley agreed. So the girls weren't sure why Haley just lied to Beckham. Brooke hesitated for a moment before she nodded.
"Uh, yeah... Just us girls."

"Hey, Bree. Good job today," Brianna heard once their read-through was over. It had taken about two hours to get through the read-through and then they would officially start rehearsing on Monday after school. Brianna smiled as she looked at her classmate and costar who would be playing Macbeth, Ethan said.
"Hey, Ethan, thanks. You too. I'm really excited," Brianna said and he smiled.
"Is this your first time in the lead?" He asked.
"Not in a lead role, but in a lead role like this. Lady Macbeth is different from any other character I've played, but that's why I wanted to audition for her. I wanted the challenge and she's fascinating," Brianna said.
"Hey, Bree, Ethan, can we go over some notes for Monday?" The director, Griffin asked. Brianna smiled and they both nodded.
"Yeah," Ethan said.
"Look, a lot of people can act in a play, but since you two are my leads, and we're doing Macbeth, I'm going to need more from both of you, alright? These are complicated characters and challenging roles, so you're both going to have to dig deep. You have to give me something of yourselves, something that no one else gets to see. You guys can't play it safe, not in these roles, okay?" Griffin asked. Brianna and Ethan shared a look and then turned to him.
"Was the read-through not...-" Griffin could sense what she was asking and he cut her off.
"...-No, no, Brianna, the read-through was great. I can see the talent in both of you, which is why I'm telling you this now so you can take the weekend to think about it. When you're going over your lines, you're going to have to go to deep and probably dark places to get into the minds of these characters, but you have to commit. I know this is just a school play, but it's heavy material," Griffin said. Brianna and Ethan nodded.
"Okay, thank you, really," Ethan said and Brianna nodded.
"Yes, thank you!" Brianna said. When Griffin walked away, the two looked at each other and Brianna sighed in relief.
"I thought he was going to tell us we were not cut out to be the leads," Brianna said and Ethan laughed.
"I know Griffin can be tough, but he wouldn't have cast us if he thought that. What'd you think about what he said?" Ethan asked.
"He's right, and I had thought about it myself. I know Lady Macbeth is a complicated character and I want to do her justice," Brianna said and Ethan smiled.
"You will. If you ever want to do extra rehearsals outside of after school, let me know," Ethan said and Brianna nodded.
"Yeah, for sure. Thanks, Ethan. Have a good weekend," Brianna said and Ethan smiled.
"You too, Bree."

"Hey you guys," Brianna said to Brooke, Peyton, and Anna when she walked inside the door to her apartment. Brianna was surprised to see Anna was there because she thought it was just going to be her, Brooke, Haley, and Peyton. She's not opposed to Anna's presence, she just doesn't know much about her, except that Lucas was dating her now, which she thought was quick.
"Oh! Brianna!" Peyton said like she was surprised to see Brianna in her own apartment.
"Hi," Brooke said.
"It smells good in here," Haley said. She got to the apartment shortly after Brianna did.
"Where have the two of you been?" Peyton asked. Haley looked at Brianna and Brianna sighed as she turned to Peyton.
"I was at our read-through for Macbeth," Brianna said and then Peyton turned to Haley.
"Nowhere," Haley continued to lie.
"I'm gonna go take a shower," Brianna said as she walked toward the bathroom and started to take off her shirt. When she walked into the bathroom, she screamed as she saw Felix was in her shower.
"Brianna!?" Haley yelled. Brianna came running out of the bathroom as she put her shirt back on.
"What the hell is Felix doing here in my shower!?" Brianna yelled. As soon as the question left her mouth, Felix came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. He was using another towel to dry off his hair, and then he looked at the girls with a smile.
"Ahh... I love slumber parties."
⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎
Felix left the house, and the five girls were sitting around using Brooke's beauty products. Brooke had a nose strip on, she was putting a face mask on Brianna. The sisters were sitting on the stools at the island of the kitchen. Peyton and Anna were on the couch, Haley was sitting on the ground, painting Peyton's toes and Anna was painting her own.
"Okay, just so I'm clear on this... The shower at your house is broken, and you had to bring Felix here to use mine?" Brianna asked as she looked at Anna.
"Um," Anna trailed off as she continued to paint her toes.
"Yep!" Brooke quickly answered.
"Brooke!" Peyton exclaimed.
"Wait a second," Brianna trailed off as she looked at her sister. "You don't have a bed, do you?" Brianna asked and then her eyes widened when she put the pieces together. "Brooke Penelope Davis... please tell me you did not have sex in my bed," Brianna said. She knows she and Brooke are close, but that's a line that should not be crossed.
"I'm already washing your sheets," Brooke said and Brianna sighed as she stood up.
"Brooke! What the hell! I know I'm your freaking triplet and we shared a womb, but there are still lines that shouldn't be crossed!" Brianna yelled.
"They already yelled at me, what's the big deal?" Brooke asked.
"The big deal is that, first of all; you did not thank me for helping you with the CDs. Second of all, you had sex... in my bed. And third; you ate all the brownies!" Brianna said.
"Actually, I had a couple," Anna said. Brianna quickly pointed a finger at her.
"That is so not the point," Brianna said.
"When they're having a sister fight, it's best to just not get in the middle of it and let them hash it out," Peyton whispered to Anna. Brianna knew that was true. She and Brooke got over their arguments very quickly.
"Brianna's right. The point is that I have been deceptive. It's not so much that... I lied to anyone's face. It's more about what I didn't say," Brooke said. Haley and Brianna looked at Brooke.
"I know you are not comparing that to having sex in Brianna's bed. There's a big difference between a lie and a little white lie," Haley said.
"Really?" Brooke asked.
"Yeah," Haley said.
"Okay, wait... what white lie?" Peyton asked.
"Nothing!" Haley exclaimed.
"Haley lied to our brother!" Brooke exclaimed as she stood up from the stool. As soon as the words came out of her mouth, Haley stood up from the ground.
"Not exactly!" Haley exclaimed.
"Yes, you did," Brianna said.
"About what?" Peyton asked.
"Nothing," Haley said.
"Haley," Peyton said.
"You know what? If we're talking about behavior, you might want to sit this one out, Peyton," Brianna said. Peyton raised an eyebrow as she stood up from the couch and walked over to the sisters and Haley.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Peyton asked.
"It means, you're the one we should be looking at, not me," Haley said. The girls were referring to the fact that Peyton had done coke.
"Why!? She's not the one acting like a perfect little Stepford girlfriend!" Brooke exclaimed.
"Wow," Haley said.
"Why are you picking on Haley and Brianna? Brianna's throwing us a slumber party," Anna said.
"Actually, she was throwing us," Brooke gestured to herself, Brianna, Haley, and Peyton. "A slumber party. You just butted in!" Brooke snapped.
"Brooke, leave her alone!" Peyton exclaimed.
"Why!?" Brooke asked. Brianna looked at Peyton and pointed a finger.
"Yeah, what are you going to do, P. Sawyer? Snort her!?" Brianna snapped. Peyton's eyes widened when Brianna brought it up. Brooke's eyes widened as well. Then Brianna turned to her sister. "And you! I didn't throw this party for us, Brooke. You threw this party for yourself and you know it!" She said.
"Well, at least I didn't lie to my boyfriend about hanging out with Chris," Brooke said as she shrugged.
"Whoa!" Peyton said.
"Brooke! Well... Peyton did cocaine with that Rick guy!" Haley blurted. Brooke turned to Peyton, her eyes wide with shock.
"Haley!" Peyton exclaimed.
"What!?" Brooke yelled. Peyton pointed at Brooke.
"You had sex in your sister's bed!" Peyton yelled back.
"What is wrong with you!? You crack whore!" Brooke yelled.
"Slut!" Peyton yelled back.
"Liar!" Brooke snapped at Haley. Haley reached up and ripped off Brooke's nose strip. Brooke screamed and Anna laughed.
"Man, Tree Hill's got some drama."
⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎
The girls had separated from each other. Peyton and Anna were sitting on the ground, not doing much. Brianna was standing in the kitchen by the fridge, eating out a tub of ice cream, and Brooke was sitting in the living room away from Anna. Brooke was reading a magazine while Haley was humming to herself.
Nobody was talking. Brianna sighed as she walked over to her sister. She still had her tub of ice cream in her hands. "I'm sorry I freaked out on you about the bed. At least I have one," Brianna said. Brooke smiled and then she looked at Haley.
"I'm sorry I called you a liar. You fibbed to Beckham, it's not a big deal," Brooke said. Haley shook her head as she sighed.
"No... it is a big deal. Look what secrets and lies did to you, Lucas, and Peyton. One lie leads to another, which leads to another. I don't want to continually lie to Beckham," Haley did.
"Okay, cease fire!" Brooke exclaimed. Peyton and Anna looked up from what they were doing. "Girl talk," Brooke said. She and Brianna assembled on the couch, followed by Haley. Peyton and Anna sat on the carpet in front of the couch.
"I should've told Beckham I was going to be with Chris, and I don't know why I did. The words started coming out of my mouth and then it was just... too late to take them back. Especially when Bree was honest about Macbeth rehearsals and obviously another boy is going to be playing her husband for the show," Haley said and Brianna frowned.
"Okay, you don't have feelings for Chris, do you? I really don't want to go through another one of my siblings getting played," Brianna said.
"Goodness, no! I...-I love Beckham. It's just that this is the first time I've ever truly wanted something for me. It's not for my parents, or for my siblings, or for Beckham, it's just for me, and Chris can help me get it. That's all," Haley said. Brianna smiled.
"You love him? Have you told him?" Brianna asked.
"Not yet," Haley said as her face started flushing.
"So, what's wrong with that then?" Peyton asked.
"Exactly! Nothing is and I don't know why I should feel embarrassed for saying that I know what I want and I'm going to go after it like...-" Brianna cut Haley off.
"...-Like a guy?" Brianna asked and Haley nodded. "I get it. Nathan, Beck, hell even Lucas, they never apologize or lie for what they want," Brianna said.
"Exactly... I don't know why I felt like I had to," Haley said as she put her head down on Brianna's shoulder.
"Hales, trust me. You can go after what you want and still be a girl," Brianna said.
"I know! That's why this is so stupid," Haley said as she shook her head.
"Speaking of stupid... Cocaine, P. Sawyer?" Brooke asked.
"I'm an idiot," Peyton said. Haley, Brooke, and Brianna shook their heads.
"Well... you're not going to do it again, right?" Brianna asked. Brianna knows that cocaine is a highly addictive drug, and sometimes once is all it takes. She doesn't want Peyton to get hooked on it.
"No! No. Um... I don't want to, but... No, I'm not," Peyton said as she shook her head.
"Okay," Brooke said.
"I'm really sorry. I'm sorry I just blurted that out. I should've talked to you about it at the club, but I just... I didn't know how to handle it. I was so surprised when Rick said you did a few lines with them... that's not you," Haley said.
"No, it's um... It's my fault. But, I just... I really want us all to be good enough friends that we can talk about stuff. You know? Even when it's ugly... especially when it's ugly," Peyton said. Brianna nodded because she wanted that for them too. She knew that the four of them would be friends for life. She didn't know if Anna and Felix were sticking around for the long run.
"Yeah," Brianna said and then she turned to her sister. "So, does that mean we can talk about this little 'arrangement' you have with Felix? The friends-with-benefits thing?" Brianna asked her sister.
"Do we have to? It's kind of foul.," Anna said as Haley came back into the living room with a bowl of popcorn. She got up after Peyton said what she said about them being able to talk to each other.
"What's foul about it? I mean, besides my sister's liners," Brooke said. Brianna rolled her eyes and gagged, while Peyton slapped Brooke's leg.
"Come on!" Brianna exclaimed.
"Sorry," Brooke said.
"No, but seriously, like... I know you're going to give me your whole, 'I can have sex like a guy' speech, but it's crap," Brianna said. Everyone knows that friends-with-benefits don't work. Brianna doesn't care how many times people say they can have sex without catching feelings. Everyone catches feelings eventually.
"Why? You think I'm gonna let myself get hurt again?" Brooke asked.
"I don't know... maybe," Peyton said.
"At least I'm having sex. I don't...-" Peyton cut Brooke off.
"...-Yeah, with a guy who doesn't even respect you enough to have a real relationship," Peyton said and then she turned to Anna. "Anna, I'm sorry, but everything is on Felix's terms," She said.
"I gave him the Writer, so they're my terms," Brooke said.
"But it was his idea," Brianna said. Brooke looked away, but Brianna could see the sadness in her eyes when she did. Brianna thought her sister was so much better than being someone's friend with benefits.
"Brooke, don't you want to fall in love?" Haley asked.
"Yeah, I do. Someday, okay?" She said.
"Why not now?" Brianna asked.
"Look, Tutor Sister-Wife...-" Brianna cut her off.
"...-Brooke, that doesn't mean what you're intending, but you're lucky I get it," Brianna said. Haley and Peyton laughed a little. Brooke rolled her eyes, but she was smiling and then she continued.
"I love you, Bree, but if it was up to you, we'd all be getting our marriage license with our driver's license, and I...-" Brianna cut Brooke off.
"...-I'm not talking about marriage, Brooke. What Haley and I are talking about is just... falling in love," Brianna said.
"And I'm tired of feeling bad, okay? I'd rather feel nothing. It's better, it's easier," Brooke said.
"Brooke, it might seem easier, but it's not. Sure, falling in love with someone is scary, and yes you might get hurt... but that's what happens with love. Love does hurt. Not everything is rainbows and butterflies all the time," Brianna said.
"Like Bree is saying, it's not better, and it's definitely not you! Okay, Brooke, I admire you so much for the chances you take, but this... this doesn't seem like you. It's less than you," Peyton said and the girls nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, Brooke, you have so much worth and value. You're better than being someone's friend with benefits. You deserve a real relationship, with happiness and love," Brianna said.
"It's just about sex," Brooke said.
"Okay, I think we all know sex is never just sex," Haley said and she was right.
"I love my brother, but there's a double standard for girls and guys and there always will be," Anna said. Brianna nodded. She thought the double standard was ridiculous, but they live in a society built on patriarchy and misogyny, so the double standard will always be there.
"Yeah, and I'm saying screw the double-standard!" Brooke said.
"That's good, Brooke. You should say it, and so should I, and so should every other girl who is tired of playing their game, by their rules. Don't be too far or too thin. Don't be too dark or too light. Don't be too sexual or too chaste, or too smart or too dumb. Be yourself... but make sure you fit in," Anna said. Everyone sat around in silence as they digested her words.
But they knew she was right.

Lucas and Nathan Scott, along with Beckham Davis were still inside the basketball arena for the Charlotte Bobcats awaiting their favorite player to walk out of the locker room, so they could get some autographs. Nathan had also just revealed to Lucas that the other reason he wanted to come down was because they were having HCM screenings for free for student-athletes, and since Dan has it.
There's a 50/50 chance that Lucas or Nathan has it as well.
"So just like that? You guys get the test and then find out if you can never play again?" Beckham asked the two of them, but more specifically Nathan, who nodded his head.
"Yep," Nathan said, and then Lucas started to laugh. "What?" He asked.
"It's just Dan! You know?" Lucas said.
"Oh, tell me about it. I can emancipate myself all I want, but... the guy still finds a way to control my life." Nathan said, and Lucas shook his head with a hint of a smile on his face, and then the player they were waiting for Emeka Okafor came down to where the boys were.
"Hey, Emeka, you played a great game, man," Nathan said, holding out his jersey for him to sign, which he did with a smile.
"Thanks." He said.
"So how does it feel to be out there? You know, finally making it to the league?" Lucas asked.
"It was a dream come true. What I was born to do... you guys play?" He asked the three of them, to which they all exchanged looks with each other and nodded their heads.
"Yeah." They all said together.
"We love it," Lucas said.
"You gotta bulk up a little bit if you wanna play in the league." He said, and Nathan started to laugh as he looked at his brother.
"Yeah, he's skinny," Nathan said.
"You too," Okafor said to Nathan and Beckham laughed.
"Yeah... you were basically asking for that one, Nate," Beckham said, and the three of them all laughed again as Okafor looked at Beckham.
"You're not as bad as they are... but you could still bulk up a little." He said, and Beckham nodded.
"Well, this guy has no left," Nathan said, pointing to Lucas, and Lucas rolled his eyes.
"I don't know why you're talking, Nate. You have no range." Beckham said, and he and Lucas both laughed as they high-fived each other and Nathan rolled his eyes.
"What? Beck, you have no sense of defense." Nathan said, and Beckham rolled his eyes while Okafor laughed at the three boys in front of him.
"Please tell me that you three are not teammates." He said, and the three of them all looked at each other as they started to laugh and Lucas looked at him.
"It's worse... we're brothers," Lucas said, and the other two boys nodded their heads. Lucas and Nathan are related by blood, and both of them are brothers-in-law to Beckham.
"Right, well... you guys... roll strong and hit those weights." He said.
"Thanks, man."

That night, the girls had a pillow fight and all fell asleep in the living room. The next morning when Brianna woke up, she was surrounded by the fluff from the pillows, but she saw Brooke in the kitchen, so she walked over to join her. Brooke was eating from the tub of ice cream, and Brianna was glad that they had this sleepover.
"Holy crap," Brianna said as she walked over and Brooke laughed. "Do you think there's such thing as a sugar hangover?" She asked and Brooke smiled.
"I think what you need is a little taste of the snake that bit ya!" Brooke said as she passed the ice cream tub to Brianna.
"Ice cream for breakfast?" She asked.
"It's butter-pecan," Brooke said.
"Not my favorite, but if it's all we got, why not?" Brianna said as she shrugged. Brooke smiled as she grabbed another spoon for Brianna and they started eating it together. Then Brianna noticed that Haley, Peyton, and Anna were on the balcony. Brianna gestured for them to join, and Brooke followed her sister outside.
"Uh oh, the Davis girl," Peyton teased when they walked outside.
"So neighbor girl... looks like we have a few things in common after all. I'm sorry I was kind of a witch before," Brooke apologized and Anna smiled.
"It's okay. It's hard to let new people in sometimes, I'm used to it," Anna said as she shrugged.
"Well, don't get too used to it. You're with us now," Brooke said as she gestured to herself, Brianna, Haley, and Peyton, and then she smiled. Anna smiled back as Peyton pulled a feather out of Brianna's hair and blew it away which made Brianna laugh. Then Peyton started to ruffle her hair.
"You're a mess, B. Davis #2."
⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎
The girls helped Brianna clean up the apartment before they left, and once they were gone and she was alone, she was sitting at her writer's station and looking over her lines for the play. She was really excited about the play, and she was going to record the performance so she could use it later for college applications. She heard the door open and she looked up from her script to see Nathan coming inside and she smiled. She also had her laptop open and had been looking up performances of Macbeth and watching the various actresses who have played Lady Macbeth.
"My husband!" Brianna exclaimed as she stood up and walked over to Nathan. He let his duffle bag fall to the ground as Brianna wrapped her arms around him and they shared a kiss.
"Hey, was I interrupting?" He asked and she shook her head.
"Nope, I was just reading over my lines and watching some performances of Lady Macbeth from different actresses," Brianna said and Nathan smiled.
"Are you excited?" He asked and Brianna nodded.
"Yes! I was going to ask, during the play weekend, can you record it for me? I'll need it for college applications," Brianna said. Nathan laughed, but he wasn't surprised that Brianna was already thinking ahead to college, even though they were still juniors.
"Of course, I will, Bree. You're gonna do great," Nathan said.
"We start having rehearsals after school on Monday, so you can come and watch anytime if you want," Brianna said and Nathan smiled.
"I might take you up on that, on the days I don't have to work," Nathan said and Brianna smiled.
"How was the game? Did you have fun with Lucas and Beck?" Brianna asked. Nathan nodded.
"Yeah! Yeah, we all had a really good time," Nathan said. Brianna smiled. She was glad that Nathan and Beckham were getting along.
"Good," Brianna said.
"How about you? How was the sleepover?" He asked and Brianna smiled.
"Good, it was really good, but I'm glad you're home," Brianna said as she looked up at him. Nathan smiled at her, leaned down and they kissed. Brianna laid her head down on his chest once they pulled away and Nathan gently stroked her back with his hand.
"Me too, Bree."
