14 | The Auction

2003Tree Hill, North Carolina

When Brianna woke up, she felt different. In a good way. She had a feeling that today was going to be a good day. She knew today was the day of the Annual Boy Toy Auction, and she already had a plan. She wasn't going to buy Nathan, she was going to buy Lucas. She felt bad about what happened during the Classics, and there was a bit of tension lingering because they didn't hang out. So getting to have a whole night by themselves to rekindle their friendship sounded like the perfect idea.

Brianna heard a knock on her bedroom door and she furrowed her eyebrows. Nathan normally doesn't knock before he comes into her room, and Brooke definitely never knocked before entering her room. She didn't know who else to expect. Her sisters normally tell her when they're coming home, and she knew Beckham's school wasn't on break yet.

"Uh, Brooke, you normally don't knock, what's changed?" Brianna called out to the door. She heard a laugh, that she knew wasn't Brooke's and when the doors opened, her eyes widened. "Beckham?" She asked. She wasn't expecting him to be home until next month.

"I had to make sure you weren't naked in here, Bree... Otherwise, I'd have to bleach my eyes." He said and Brianna rolled her eyes, but she was confused.

"Why are you here?" She asked.

"Wow, nice to see you too." He said and Brianna shook her head.

"No, it's always nice to see you, I missed you... but you go to boarding school. What the hell happened?" Brianna asked. Since Beckham was the golden child, the son their father always wanted, he sent him to a prestigious Boarding School that would give him a good education so he could get into a prestigious college.

But Beckham hated it.

So he continually acted out in hopes that he would get kicked out, and he finally did. Their dad was more than disappointed. He said he wanted to go back home with his sisters and go back to Tree Hill. So Victoria relented just so he wouldn't bother her. She quickly got him re-enrolled.

"That place sucked, big time. I missed home. I miss you and Brooke." He said with a shrug.

"Did you break out?" She asked.

"No, Mom paid 'em off after I caused enough trouble to get kicked out. I heard it's the Boy Toy Auction. You think Whitey will let me back on the team?" He asked.

"It's always been your spot. You should talk to Whitey, maybe you can get in the auction tonight." Brianna said and Beckham smiled.

"Ah, the auction. Do you think Haley might buy me this year?" Beckham asked and Brianna smirked. Since Beckham and Brianna grew up hanging out with Lucas and Haley, Beckham has always had the biggest crush on Haley. But they were both too shy to admit to each other that they liked each other. But Brianna and Lucas saw it for a while.

"Will you two nerds finally fess up that you've liked each other for years? Haley asked about you a lot, you know?" Brianna said and Beckham smiled.

"Then I definitely have a chance." He said and Brianna shook her head and laughed.

"Does Brooke know you're home?" Brianna asked.

"She does now," Brooke said as she leaned in the doorway of Brianna's room. She smiled at her brother. "I missed you, Beck." She said.

"I missed you too, Brookie." He said. Brooke rolled her eyes but she was still smiling. Brianna was happy, their trio was reunited. The Davis triplets.

"Well, let's go bid on some boys."

Brianna went with Beckham to have his talk with Whitey during school. Whitey was delighted that Beckham was back. Since his transcripts were already transferred over and Beckham was keeping good grades at his boarding school, Whitey happily gave him his spot back on the team and worked him into the auction. The one thing Brianna forgot to mention to Beckham is that she's dating Nathan.

Beckham never liked Nathan because of the way he treated Lucas since Beckham is Lucas' best friend. Although, on the court, Beckham is able to let go of all of that and play with Nathan like they're the best of friends. They have great chemistry on the court and they were the reason why the Ravens were so good. But Brianna didn't know how Beckham would react to her dating Nathan. She was scared he would go into cardiac arrest.

Or try to fight Nathan.

"Hey girls," Brianna said as she approached Haley and Peyton when she found them in the crowd. The auction can get a bit crazy, but Brianna had money saved from work, and since their parents are rich and try to ease their guilt about being the worst, they send Brooke, Brianna, and Beckham money all the time. Brianna knew nobody would be able to outbid her for Lucas.

"You guys seeing anything you like?" Haley asked.

"I'm seeing everything I like," Peyton said and Brianna laughed.

"Oh really, P. Sawyer?" Brianna asked.

"Yeah... hey, was that Beckham I saw at school earlier?" She asked and Brianna nodded her head.

"Yup, he's back. He even got his spot back on the team and will be in the auction tonight." Brianna said with a smile.

"So I can buy him?" Haley asked.

"Oh, he'd love that very much, Hales." Brianna teased and Haley shook her head.

"He didn't jailbreak from that fancy boarding school, did he?" Peyton asked.

"No, but he hated it that he caused enough trouble to finally get kicked out. Parents paid them off, here we are." Brianna said. Peyton and Haley laughed.

"I'm going to bid on Jake," Peyton said.

"You guys are really hitting it off, huh?" Brianna teased and Peyton nodded. She tried to hide her smile but she couldn't. Brianna was happy for her and happy to see her getting along with someone else.

"Just friends, really. What about you? Ready to fight off these rabid skanks for Nathan?" Peyton asked and Brianna laughed but she shook her head.

"Actually, I think I'm going to bid on Lucas." She said.

"Really?" Haley and Peyton asked.

"Yeah, I haven't gotten a chance to really spend time with him lately, and besides... I get Nathan for free." Brianna said while winking at her friends. Peyton laughed and nudged her on the shoulder.

Tim was up next so Brianna tuned out because she knew none of the cheerleaders were buying him. Deb ended up buying him for $8, she was going to make him do some chores. Brianna found that a little funny, since Nathan doesn't live there anymore, she needed someone to come do some things. Brianna looked at the program and then she looked at Peyton.

"Jake's up next. How much money do you have?" Brianna asked.

"$87.53," Peyton said.

"Okay," Haley said as Jake walked out. He was wearing the Raven's mascot uniform with his jersey on top of it. Brianna nudged Peyton while everyone else cheered and laughed. Jake took off the head of the raven and handed it to Whitey.

"$20!" Peyton shouted.

"I have a bid for $20, do I hear $30?" Whitey asked.

"$30!" A voice across the crowd said. Brianna noticed Jake starting to take off parts of the costume one by one, and she nudged Haley. The friends looked at each other with smiles.

"Take it off!" They exclaimed simultaneously in fake fangirl voices. Peyton rolled her eyes at her friends, but she was still smiling.

"$40?" Whitey asked.

"$40!" The same voice that bid $30 said.

"$50," Peyton said.

"$75." The other voice answered.

"Bet it all," Haley said.

"$87.53," Peyton said.

"Going once..." Whitey trailed off to see if anyone would go higher.

"$100!" The other voice exclaimed and Brianna's eyes widened. She scanned the crowd to see if she could find where the voice was coming from, but there were too many people.

"$100 going once," Whitey said.

"Who else is bidding on Jake?" Haley asked.

"Going twice. Sold! For $100 American. The highest man of the night. Good job, Jagielski." Whitey said as Jake walked backstage. Brianna knew that Jake was the highest bid for now, but once her brother, Lucas, and Nathan had their turns, they would probably surpass them.

"Alright ladies, you may remember him from last year, a surprise last-minute entry for tonight. Beckham Davis, you're up!" Whitey announced. Brianna could hear gasps and whispers from the crowd.

"Holy crap... Beckham's back?" One girl asked.

"I am definitely getting that tonight." Another girl said and Brianna nearly gagged.

"$50!" A girl immediately yelled.

"Wow... people missed him, huh?" Brianna asked. Haley laughed a little while Peyton sighed. Brianna frowned because she knew Peyton was upset about losing Jake.

"$75!" Another girl yelled.

"$100!"

"Hales, you're losing the boy," Brianna said.

"$105! $110! Oh, what the hell? $115!" Haley yelled.

"Sold!" Whitey said and Brianna heard the disappointed groans of the other girls that were bidding.

"Cafe savings. No way he's worth it though." Haley said and Brianna laughed. She saw Beckham wink at Haley before going backstage.

"Good to know he and Nathan haven't ripped each other to shreds," Brianna said.

"Oh yeah. Does he know Nathan is your boyfriend?" Peyton asked and Brianna shook her head.

"He also doesn't know that Nathan is post-asshole. I'm not exactly sure how to tell him." Brianna said and Haley laughed.

"Well, it looks like your two options are, figure it out, or break up with Nathan," Haley said and Brianna laughed, but she knew Haley was right.

"How much money do you have? Lucas is next." Peyton said.

"Come on, you know my parents are rich and I have a ton of cash. No one is getting Lucas." Brianna said as the bidding started. Lucas walked out on stage with his hands in his pockets. Brianna could tell he was nervous and it was adorable.

"$25!"

"$35!"

"$50!"

"$75!"

"$100!" There were two girls going back and forth. Brianna was waiting for the right moment to throw her bid in, and when it looked like no one was going to go higher than $100, Brianna threw out a number she knew nobody would go above.

"$200!" Brianna yelled. Peyton's eyes widened while the rest of the room went silent and Brianna knew she had won.

"Sold!" Whitey exclaimed. Lucas found his best friend in the crowd and gave her a grateful smile. Brianna winked in return and he went backstage. She looked down at her program and saw there was one boy left.

Her boyfriend.

"Alright. We're down to our last boy toy, so loosen up those purse strings, pucker up those lips and remember, this is for a good cause. You're on Nathan." Whitey said.

Nathan walked out on stage, he was dressed in their basketball warmup jacket and pants, and he had on sunglasses. "What is he about to do?" Brianna muttered to no one in particular. Peyton and Haley laughed. Nathan tossed his sunglasses to Mouth, who was DJing. When Mouth turned on the music, Nathan ripped his pants off on beat.

"Okay, do I have a first bid?" Whitey asked.

"$80!"

"What the hell?" Brianna asked. Then Nathan took off the jacket and he had 'BOY TOY,' written across his chest in red lettering.

"$85!"

"It smells like sex in here," Peyton said.

"$90!"

"$100!" Brianna yelled. She couldn't help it. She couldn't let Nathan go home with any of these girls. Although she trusts him, and she knows he would never cheat, she didn't trust the other girls. She turned to her blonde best friend and grabbed her arm. She needed her to buy Nathan because she trusts Peyton more than anything.

"That's a creepy threesome," Peyton said.

"$110!"

"Peyton, how much money do you have?" Brianna asked.

"Not $110," Peyton said.

"Bid $210. I'll give you the cash. I need you to buy Nathan," Brianna said.

"Why?" Peyton asked.

"To keep him away from them," Brianna said as she pointed to the girls who were closest to the stage and trying to throw themselves at her boyfriend.

"Going twice," Whitey warned.

"Peyton, please," Brianna begged. She saw the hesitation in Peyton's eyes and she knew she was asking a lot, but Brianna would have better peace of mind knowing that Nathan was with Peyton, so she could enjoy her time with Lucas.

"$210!" Peyton yelled.

"Sold!" Whitey exclaimed.

"Yes!" Brianna exclaimed as she threw her arms around her best friend. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Brianna said and Peyton laughed as she hugged her back.

"You're so lucky that I love you."

⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎

"I'm so excited to have Lucas all to myself for an evening. We have not had a night to hang out just the two of us in forever." Brianna said to Haley and Peyton as they were waiting outside of the school. They had already gone and turned in their money, now they were just waiting for the boys.

"Yeah, the same goes for me and Nathan," Peyton said which made Brianna laugh as Nathan approached.

"I know you're still into me, but $210?" Nathan teased. Peyton laughed and rolled her eyes while Brianna laughed and nudged his shoulder. When Nathan turned his attention to his girlfriend, he smiled. "Hey, you." He said.

"Hey," Brianna responded.

"How about you come to see me around midnight?" He asked and Brianna nodded.

"Sounds good to me," Brianna said. Nathan leaned in and the couple shared a kiss, right as Beckham and Lucas were walking over.

"Bree, what the hell?" Brianna pulled away from Nathan and mentally cursed when she heard Beckham's voice, but then his eyes were trained on Nathan. "Who the hell do you think you are?" He asked.

"Beck...-" Brianna tried to calm him down, but Nathan was already speaking.

"...-I'm her boyfriend," Nathan said and then he looked down at Brianna. "Forgot to mention it?" He asked and she nervously smiled.

"Something like that, I'm so sorry." She whispered to him. Nathan shook his head as Brianna walked over to her brother. He wasn't angry, he understood why Brianna didn't tell Beckham. They didn't get along well outside of basketball because of the way he treated Lucas.

"Bree... seriously? Him? Of all people? You had a front-row seat to how he treated Peyton." Beckham said when Brianna pulled him aside.

"Beck, listen to me. You know me, and you know I hated Nathan just as much as you did... I promise you, he's different now. He has changed, you may not trust him yet, but trust me, and give him a chance, please?" Brianna pleaded with her brother. Beckham looked at her and then he looked at Nathan again, who was watching them, and he turned back to his sister.

"Fine. I trust you, Bree... but if he hurts you, I swear...-" Brianna cut him off.

"...-You will do nothing, understand? If you want to fight a Scott brother, fight Lucas. He cheated on Brooke with Peyton." Brianna said and Beckham's eyes widened.

"What!?" He exclaimed and Brianna shrugged her shoulders.

"We can deal with that later, right now... you have a date with your longtime crush." Brianna said with a smile. Beckham laughed a little as the siblings rejoined their group. He looked at Haley and slightly smirked.

"Haley James... I didn't know you thought so highly of me that I was worth $115." He said. Haley rolled her eyes but she was still smiling.

"You're not, but let's go." She said. Brianna laughed and Beckham threw his arm around her shoulder as they walked away. When they were gone, Brianna turned to her boyfriend and sighed.

"I'm so sorry about that, Nate." She said and Nathan shook his head.

"Don't worry about it. I figured he would need to be eased into it. He knows who I used to be, I just have to prove to him I'm not that guy anymore and that I am good enough for his younger triplet." Nathan said. Brianna smiled as they shared another kiss and then he turned to Peyton. "Alright, come on. Let's get this over with." Nathan said as he walked away to his car. Peyton turned to her friend.

"Funny, that's what he used to say before we would have sex," Peyton said. The friends laughed as Brianna shook her head and Peyton ran off after Nathan. She watched as Peyton ran after him and jumped on his back and she smiled.

She was hoping they'd be better friends than they were as a couple.

Brianna took Lucas to Karen's Cafe and they went onto the roof. Brianna had turned on the overhead lights so that their makeshift golf course was more visible and Lucas smiled. "Brianna, now this is a great idea." He said.

"I know." She said. She was holding a bin full of water balloons. When they weren't playing golf, they would have water balloon fights, but the balloons weren't always filled with water. Sometimes they filled them with milk, juice, or anything they could find.

"Did you fill any with milk like we used to?" Lucas asked when he saw the balloons.

"Of course. Some of them. I can't do this stuff with Nathan. It just seems I don't know... does it seem childish?" Brianna asked.

"Well... yeah," Lucas said and Brianna sighed.

"Great," She mumbled. Lucas laughed while shaking his head.

"In a good way." He continued.

"So, what's your situation now?" Brianna asked.

"What do you mean?" Lucas asked.

"With Peyton? Or my sister... or this bar-slut I heard about." Brianna said. Lucas raised an eyebrow as he looked at her. He was wondering how she found out about that. Peyton and Brooke, on separate occasions, told her how Lucas stormed out of the cafe when he was having dinner with Haley and Karen and he went to the bar Brooke took him to on their first date because he knew they would accept his fake ID. He left his sling at the bar, and the bartender told Brooke and Peyton that Lucas came to the bar alone, but he wasn't alone when he left.

Aka, bar slut.

"Okay. What'd you hear, and who'd you hear it from?" He asked and Brianna held up her hands in surrender.

"I plead the fifth." She said.

"I just want to play ball again, you know? Get over this damn drama. You know, it wasn't long ago I was happy playing hoops with the guys and hanging out with you and Haley." He said.

"Yeah, life was much simpler then, wasn't it? I think I'm gonna call Nathan." Brianna said. She turned around to walk away, but she didn't get far before she felt something hit her, and then her back was wet. She turned around and glared at Lucas when she saw another balloon in his hand.

"Oh, you are so dead," Brianna said.

"I guess that was a milk balloon," Lucas said as he laughed.

Brianna shook her head and picked up a balloon and threw it back at Lucas. It broke on impact and was also a milk balloon. The pair picked up more balloons simultaneously before going to opposite sides of the roof.

And their war began.

⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎

After what felt like forever, Brianna was out of balloons. Her hair was soaking wet, a mixture of water and milk. She was hiding behind one of the fake trees that they set up as a prop for their golf course, and she had no idea where Lucas was.

"Luke? I'm out of balloons. Can we please call a truce?" Brianna called out. She was lying, she had one more balloon left, but Lucas didn't know that.

"Is it a real truce? Or another trick truce?" He yelled back.

"It's a real truce, I promise," Brianna said.

"Okay."

"Okay."

Lucas and Brianna both walked out from their hiding spots and Brianna smiled. "Or not!" She exclaimed. Before she could throw her last balloon at him, Lucas threw his, and then he grabbed her. "No, Luke, you're going to hurt your shoulder." She said. Because Lucas was restraining her, she ended up dropping her balloon and it broke on impact. "Oh, you are so lucky." She said.

"What's on your back?" Lucas asked as he let her go. When he grabbed Brianna after she tried to throw the balloon, the shirt she had on rose up in the back, not much, but enough for Lucas to see that she had the number '23' tattooed on her. It was small and on her lower back. When she went to Brooke and told her she wanted to get a tattoo, Brooke was excited because she didn't think Brianna would be into tattoos, so she immediately took her before she could change her mind.

"Nothing," Brianna said as she pulled her shirt down.

"Brianna, is that a tattoo?" Lucas asked.

"No, it's nothing," Brianna said.

"Brianna," Lucas said as he turned her around again so he could see it and he scoffed. "That's great, Bree. You see, that's why I don't like the guy." He snapped.

"Lucas!" Brianna exclaimed.

"No, that's just like him! To get you branded with his jersey number right above your ass! Oh, Beckham is gonna love this one." He said and Brianna rolled her eyes.

"Nathan doesn't even know about it, okay? I just... I just did it. Only Brooke came with me." Brianna said. Lucas looked surprised. He figured that it was Nathan's idea for Brianna to get that tattoo, and he was surprised that he was way off.

"By yourself?" He asked.

"I made the decision on my own, yes, but as I said, Brooke went to the shop with me." Brianna reiterated.

"Brianna... why would you do that?" Lucas asked and Brianna sighed.

"Because I'm in love with him."

⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎

Brianna went down into the cafe. Karen was gone and she closed the restaurant, but she left the lights on because she knew Lucas and Brianna were on the roof. Brianna grabbed a towel and dried out her hair and then she tossed the towel to Lucas. She grabbed two mugs and put them on the counter and started to make hot chocolate.

"Look, I didn't mean to freak out on you up there, okay? But... a tattoo?" He asked.

"You got one... You got one with a girl you're not even dating anymore." Brianna said.

"I know, and how stupid do I look?" He asked and Brianna shrugged.

"You hold me to a higher standard than everyone else, Luke, and it's not fair," Brianna said.

"Look, I know it's not fair, okay? But that's because I've seen you be better than most people. Let me see it again." Lucas said. His voice was softer, so Brianna sighed and walked out from behind the counter. She turned around and slightly lifted up her shirt so Lucas could see the tattoo. "How long ago did you do it?"

"A couple of days ago." She responded.

"And Nathan had nothing to do with it?" Lucas asked and Brianna shook her head.

"Lucas, I told you, no. Nathan doesn't even know. Goodness, what am I going to do, Luke? I'm so... I hate being away from him. I think about him constantly. I was in the middle of a history quiz and I completely zoned out on him. Maybe we're not going to be together for the rest of our lives, but right now, I'm in love for the first time, and if I look at this tattoo 20 years from now and it reminds me of how I feel today. I think I'll be okay with that." Brianna said.

"Then why didn't you buy Nathan at the auction? Why hide out with me?" Lucas asked and Brianna frowned.

"I'm not hiding out with you, Luke. I wanted to spend time with you. I wanted to remember just for a night the way things were. When it was simpler... me, you, Haley, and Beck against the world, even though they're not here. I'm used to being self-confident and sensible, and I just really feel like a mess right now." Brianna said as she wiped her eyes. Lucas shook his head as he wrapped his arms around his best friend and hugged her tight.

"You're not a mess, Bree. You're in love." He said and Brianna sighed.

"I'm just not sure if he is."

⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎

"So, Nathan got his own place," Lucas said as they pulled into the parking lot. Since Nathan told her to come by at midnight once everything was over, she was going to keep her word. She did miss him, even while she was with Lucas.

"Yeah, this is it. Oh crap, I left some CDs for him in the car, I'll be right back." Brianna said after they had gotten out of the truck.

"I'll come," Lucas said.

"No, it's alright. Um... why don't you go ahead and go on in... apartment 11. Hey, ask him if he's in love with me, and if he says no, break up with him for me, okay?" Brianna said and Lucas laughed.

"Okay."

"Great... hey, seriously... say something nice, okay? I mean, he really is a different person." Brianna said and Lucas nodded his head.

"Okay."

After Brianna got the CDs, she started walking toward the apartment and saw Lucas coming the other way. He was pissed because he saw Nathan and Peyton kissing, but it wasn't a real kiss. The rules of the auction were the pair had to kiss at midnight. But Lucas let his jealousy cloud his judgment.

"He wasn't there," Lucas said.

"Are you sure? Apartment 11?" Brianna asked as she got out her phone and dialed Nathan's number.

"Yeah," Lucas said.

"Voicemail," Brianna said as she hung up the phone. "Great, I guess he's not done yet. I wonder what he and Peyton are doing." She said as she shrugged her shoulders. She didn't care that they were hanging out, she trusts both of them and she knows they wouldn't do anything.

"Come on, I'll take you home," Lucas said and Brianna nodded.

"Okay."

⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎

"Well, did you have fun tonight, slave boy? Thank you for playing along." Brianna teased when Lucas parked outside of her house. She looked up at the red door in contrast to the all-white house and she sighed. Only three people live there, and the house was so big, sometimes it felt lonely.

"Look, Brianna. I know we've grown apart a bit lately. And I know we have a lot ahead of us. But, I just want you to know that I'll always be there for you. If Nathan doesn't see how special you really are, well, then he's an idiot. Because I think you're amazing." Lucas said and Brianna smiled.

"Thanks, Luke." She said and then she looked at the time. "Oh, technically, you owe me a goodnight kiss." She said.

"Hmm... rules are rules, I guess," Lucas said.

"I guess so," Brianna said. The pair started to lean in, but before their lips could meet, Brianna pulled back and pointed her finger. "Here's the thing though, if your tongue comes anywhere near my mouth, I am just never speaking to you again." She said and Lucas laughed.

He leaned in and gently pecked Brianna's lips and then she hugged him. "Hey, Bree. You're going to be okay, I promise you that." Lucas said as he squeezed her back. When they pulled away, she leaned in and kissed his cheek before getting out of the car.

Lucas waited until she was inside before driving away.

⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎

Brianna went to her room and changed into a pair of soft shorts and one of Nathan's shirts. She tied her hair up into a messy bun and then she went to search the house for her siblings. Starting with Beckham's room. The door was closed, but she knocked.

"Beck? You home?" She asked.

"Yeah, come in." She heard on the other side. She opened the door and saw Beckham lying on his bed. He had his TV on, but just for background noise, he wasn't paying attention. Brianna walked over and got in bed next to him and laid down next to her brother. "Did you have fun with Hales?" She asked.

"Yeah... we had a really good time. It was nice to catch up and talk. She wrote me a few letters when I was gone, but being back, it was like I never left." Beckham said and Brianna smiled.

"I'm glad to hear that," Brianna said and then she sighed. "Look... I know finding out that I'm dating Nathan was a shock, and I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I was planning on it... when I thought I wouldn't be seeing you until the break." She said and Beckham laughed a little. He wasn't mad at Brianna for not telling him, he understood.

"I know... I'm sorry I kind of flipped. I just... I don't know, I just thought you hated him, for the way he's treated Luke our entire lives." Brianna said.

"I did, but he's not who you remember him as, I promise," Brianna said.

"So, he's no longer the asshole that treated Peyton, Lucas, and everyone else around him like crap?" He asked and Brianna shook her head.

"No, he's not that person anymore, because if he was... I wouldn't be with him." Brianna said and Beckham nodded his head.

"Honestly, I always thought you and Lucas would end up together." He said and Brianna pretended to gag.

"Gross, no. Lucas is basically another you. An annoying pain in my ass." Brianna said. Beckham rolled his eyes but he still laughed.

"You love us," Beckham said.

"I do... but I love Nathan too. Will you please give him a chance for me?" Brianna asked. Beckham sighed as he looked at his sister, but he could see the sincerity in her eyes. He's always known that Brianna is a good judge of character, and he knew she wouldn't be dating Nathan if he was still the same way he used to be. He nodded his head and leaned down to kiss his sister's forehead.

"For you, because I love you," Beckham said and Brianna smiled.

"I love you too, Beck. I'm glad you're home."
