Chapter Twenty Six
After being forced back upstairs by an unimpressed Obi Wan, me, Lux and Anakin, who was also unimpressed, find ourselves confined to our rooms.
After Anakin had unhelpfully told me it was a stupid plan, he locked himself in his room. I had also locked myself in my room, away from Lux, because I was not exactly impressed with him either. I wasn't mad at him, I was just...I don't know how to describe it. Make him feel bad? No. I just wanted some time to myself anyway. To think.
I'm laying on my back, on my bed, staring up at the decoration on the four poster. But I'm not really seeing it. I'm thinking about Barriss again. These last few days I've been busy, keeping myself busy, so I don't have to think about it.
I want to know why she framed me. Why she tried to get me to leave the Jedi forever. But even more, I want to know why everyone betrayed me and didn't trust me, except Anakin.
After being in deep thought for so long, I make a decision. I will do my best to speak to Harris's, and ask her, why? Otherwise, I am going to go mad, wondering.
After hours of endless thought, which somehow blends into meditation, the sky darkens, and it becomes night. I spend most of the night lost in thought, unable to sleep.

"Ahsoka!"
A voice calls me from the garden, awakening me from my thoughts. I was, busy meditating, for most of the morning. In fact, I haven't yet left my room today. Sighing, I pull myself to my feet, and walk onto the balcony.
Lux and Lok are in the garden below me. Well, at least he's made a friend, and is capable of entertaining himself.
"What?" I ask them, annoyed.
"Are you coming down?" Lux asks me, as if I haven't got anything else to do.
"No. I'm busy!" I inform him, starting to turn away.
"Doing what?" He asks, obviously thinking I'm making excuses.
"Meditating!" I call, walking away. But, Lux won't give up.
"On what?"
"Never you mind,"
I shut the door, blocking out the sunlight and the sound. Ah well, probably easier to meditate in the dark anyway.
I spend my time searching for answers, but I don't find any. And then, before I know it, it's time for lunch.
I slip quietly into the kitchen, trying to avoid being served in the dining room, because it makes me uncomfortable, and besides, I only want a snack.
I pause in the doorway, looking at the large, empty room (of people) which was filled from floor to ceiling with cupboards and shelves. Finding food could take a while.
I walk in, and cheat using the force. I widen my senses, so I know what can be found in every cupboard. I walk in slowly, deciding what I want to eat.
However, I sense a presense behind me and I turn around to find Lok casually walking towards me.
"I didn't think you would notice me from that distance," he comments to me as he passes.
"You obviously haven't met many Jedi," I state, watching him.
"No. I haven't. You three are the first," he informs me, reaching for a jar on the shelf.
"I can tell," I reply simply, wondering why he hasn't asked me why I was here yet.
"Help yourself," Lok says, taking two biscuits out of the jar and offering it to me, "assuming that's what you came for,"
"Thanks," I answer, taking a couple of biscuits. They appear to be homemade. Loc places the jar back on the shelf.
"I was told the Jedi are serious people. That they are wise and amazing warriors," Loc admits suddenly.
"Most are," I admit, "But me and my Master never have followed orders. The only problem is the fact he can get away with it. I can't, well not so easily. I usually blame him, seeing as he's the master,"
Loc looks surprised, but then frowns. He walks beside me as I make my way to the door, which leads into the garden.
"So why are you exceptions?" He asks me curiously.
"Well, Master Skywalker is the supposed Chosen One. The Jedi won't expel him, because, apparently, he will become more powerful than Master Yoda," I explain, expecting him to know who Yoda is. Thankfully, he does.
"As in the one who will bring balance to the force?" He asks me. Well, at least Lok knows what he's talking about.
"Uh huh,"
"Wait till I tell my friends this," he grins. I laugh.
"That's what a lot of people say," I muse.
"Really?" He sounds surprised and I laugh.
"Uh huh,"
"So, what is it like, being it a Jedi?" He asks me, as we enter the garden and walk down the steps.
"Well, usually fun, but if you find yourself trapped or captured, things change pretty quickly. The worst part is the losses. But it's fun flying ships and breaking into Separatist property," I explain, thoughtfully.
"What about lightsaber duels? Are they fun?" Lok asks, looking fascinated.
"Lightsaber duels? It depends. Putting aside the fact that it's a life or death situation, it can be exciting. Well, unless they have the lightsabers in your face, or you're losing. I wouldn't exactly say it's fun when someone you trust trys to kill you either," I say, thoughtfully.
"So what is it with you and Lux?" He asks suddenly.
"What?" I say taken aback at the sudden change of subject. I stared at him.
"You and Lux seem pretty close. But he isn't a Jedi," Lok explains himself.
"Oh, we're just friends," I paused, suddenly not so sure. Were we just friends? "I met him on Onderdon a while ago. Since then I've got him out of a few tight spots with Death Watch, the separatists and a few other life and death situations,"
The grass reaches past my ankles, and is surprisingly thick. The flowerbeds are up against the walls which surround the house from all directions. A few trees grow up against the wall, and I take note of a possible escape route.
"Does that include crazy driving?"
I glance up at Lok, wanting to know whether or not he was serious. He was. I widen my eyes. Did Lux tell him?
"I've heard you can be quite dangerous," Lok answers my unspoken question.
"Really? He didn't seem to think that when he took my lightsabers from me," I muse.
"Did he? So do you have them with you?" I watch his eyes widen.
"Only one. I lost the other one recently," I admit, reaching under my cloak for it. I bring it out, holding it out to him, so he can look at it properly.
"Wow! Can I actually hold it?" Lok asks me with wide eyes. I laugh.
"Sure, go ahead. Just don't activate it. After all, they can be pretty dangerous weapons," Lok carefully picks it up with both hands, holding it as if it were made of glass. He inspects it carefully, before handing it back.
"Wow, I can't believe it. I didn't think I'd ever see a real one, let alone hold it!"
I laugh and we continue to talk for a while, before we head back in. I wander down the hallway to find Anakin or Obi Wan, wondering who was with Lux. I enter the living room, to find Lux, Obi Wan and Anakin.
"Where have you been?" Anakin questions, turning around to face me.
"Meditating," I answer snippily.
"Well, at least some padawans do," Obi Wan comments, looking side ways at Anakin, who shrugged, giving him a look that clearly stated he no patience for it.
I think back to what Lok said. At least I've made a friend today.
