Chapter Six
Me and Anikan search the entire building, but with no success. There was no evidence of anyone being there within the last couple of days. There were no ashy footprints or broken floorboards, that had been damaged by age, fire, smoke, Me and Barris throwing each other about and water that put the fire out. There was nothing.
Anikan made me stay by his side the whole time, obviously not trusting me to look after myself and my remaining lightsaber. He was was clearly not impressed with me, or the fact that I'd kept a secret from him for years. But I wasn't exactly impressed with myself either, I managed to blurt out a secret I'd kept for years, getting myself into more trouble than I would have done originally. I mentally slapped myself.
As we came out of the building, Obi Wan appeared on his speeder. He pulled up in front of us.
"Nothing's out of place in the abandoned speeder factory - the odd weapon or two, but they haven't been touched in years, they're covered in dust. Doesn't look like anyone's been there. However, I heard a rumour about the criminal with the lightsaber. Apparently they wear armour that looks similar to the armour deathwatch wear, but it defiantly isn't deathwatch because the armour is a different colour. Did you find anything?"
"Nope, there wasn't anything there. Completely untouched," Anikan states, throwing a glare in my direction as he spoke. Having recovered slightly, I smirked at him, only to annoy him though.
"What happened?" Obi Wan asks Anikan, spotting the glare thrown at me.
"Ahsoka," he grumbled, "Again,"
"Again? What do you mean, Again?" I exclaim, causing Obi Wan to raise his eyebrows.
"Well it's always you, isn't it?" He grumbles.
"No!" I begin hotly, "It is not always me, I -"
"Maybe we should continue this "conversation" later," interrupts Obi Wan, " I was supposed to take you straight back," Master Obi Wan Kenobi gestures to our speeder. He waves us goodbye and disappears.
I turn back to Anikan, only to find him half way to the speeder already, And I run after him to keep up. Well, not just to keep up. I wouldn't put it past him to leave without me.
I vault onto the speeder just as Anikan gets on, which was just in time.
"What were you talking about, Again?" I hiss at him.
"The exact same thing I was last time you asked, it's always you," he smirked. I open my mouth to give a snarky comment, but I never get a chance to, because Anikan drives off a lot faster than necessary. Any attempt at speech would be lost in the wind. Instead I settle for hitting his shoulder playfully. For my troubles, Anikan turns unnecessarily sharply around a corner, almost unseating me. I know that was on purpose. But, I guess for now at least, I'm forgiven.
