Chapter Eighteen
*Ahsoka's POV*
I won't deny the fact I was surprised. He left with a smile, and I lay there in shock. I thought he liked Steela.
I'm still in the medical room, alone. No one has visited today and I've already had lunch; it's insanely boring. I've been told I can be let out tomorrow, as long as I keep on my sling for my arm. I don't want to keep it on, but I promised.
I suddenly sense a familier presence outside the door, and I grin excitedly, before remembering what they did yesterday and start scowling instead. As the doors open I wipe my face of scowls and lean forward.
"Finally! I thought nobody would come!" I whine at him, and he laughs.
"I've been busy Snips," Anakin flops down into the chair next to my bed, watching me.
"Doing what?" I ask him, snippily.
"Stuff," he responds, just to annoy me. I raise the face markings above my eyes at him. He puts his hands up in mock surrender.
"Okay, okay, fine! We're pretty sure the criminal shooting at us is the criminal we're looking for. But we won't have much time for it, as we're looking after Mr Bonteri, oh, and Obi Wan has decided he wants to come as well," he states.
"So you've put Rex in charge?" I joke, knowing even Anakin wouldn't get away with that - putting a clone in charge instead of three Jedi.
"Huh. I wish. Someone else is doing it. Can't be bothered to remember who," he waves his hand dismissively.
"So when do we go to Naboo?" I ask Anakin, interested.
"Not tomorrow - I don't actually know why, we're going the day after. And, you and I are flying the ship," he grins happily.
"Was that your decision?"
"Well you know me. I have to do it, as everyone else seems to be incapable," he tells me, leaning back in his chair.
"Uh huh. So how are we landing?" I make fun of him and he frowns.
"What do you mean "how are we landing?". The same way we always do- what other ways are there?" He frowns at me, not yet getting the point.
"I'm not sure Obi Wan or Lux will like that Master," I tell Anakin innocently, trying my best not to laugh.
"What do you mean?" My master looks at me, confused.
"Well, the same way we always do usually includes crash landing or jumping out before we crash!" I finally irrupt into laughter, my hands over my mouth. Anakin glares at me.
"We do not always crash! That's only when we're on missions, and it's unavoidable!" I laugh even more at the look on his face.
"Master!" I carry on laughing, "All the other Jedi go on missions, but I struggle to remember them constantly crash landing on the ground!"
Anakin leans over and whacks me (but not so it hurts). I slowly regain control of myself and end up sitting quietly with a huge smile on my face. I've finished with my revenge. When Anakin is also sure I've finished, he speaks again.
"Well lucky for you, your driving as well, so you can make sure we don't crash," he smirks at me.
We talk for a bit longer, then Anakin leaves, saying he promised to meet up with Rex and Obi Wan. And all to soon, I was alone again. Nobody else came to visit for the rest of the day, even though Lux promised. It seems I need to plan more "revenge".
