__Sara Pov__

I woke up the next morning with three demons jumping on my bed, and let me tell you, they weren't being nice.

"Jun, Dai, Ayaka... must you do this every morning?" I started to sit up grogily.

"Of course we do Sara-nee, We love jumping on your bed!" I was tackled back to laying down by Daiki as he said this, and honestly, it was cute so I started to laugh. Then all three made a dog pile on me.

I picked them off one by one and stood up walking to the door and shooing them out.

"But Saraaaa! Why can't we stay? At least me since I share the room?" Ayaka was complaining now, however Junichi was already out the door.

"Because I have to get ready to meet my new sensei and be assigned to a squad. So get your butts moving out the door."

When they finally left I shut and locked the door to get ready, I already knew Kakashi was a perv, and wasn't taking any chances.

I pulled my hair up into a bun with a red ribbon and went to my closet to get some clothes. I put my quarter sleeve fishnet top and kapri length fishnet leggings on first, then I took a purple top that wrapped around my neck, but left my shoulders and back bare. The shirt ended just above my belly button but was longer in back and split like a swallow's tail. I pulled on a grey skirt that went to my mid thighs, with a small slit on the right side. I strapped on my kunai pouch and tied a blood red ribbon around my waist, that would normally hold my katana. I pulled on my grey sandles and lastly tied my headband around my head. My mask was already around my face already, as it almost always was, but the color was a grey to match my outfit. Now I was ready to leave.

I made sure the three kids were all right, they were sitting in front of the TV watching some show. They would start the academy soon and I would have to worry less about them then. I grabbed some toast and spread jam on it, then walked out the door headed to the academy.

When I got to the academy I was a little later than usual but there were kids there still. Right now the only people in the room were Hinata, Kiba, Sasuke, and Shikamaru. It looked like we could sit anywhere today, since it wasn't really class. I walked over to Shikamaru, who was sitting in front of Sasuke, and started to talk to him.

I never really liked Sasuke. Everyone else made him pretty much the center of attention. The girls loved him and followed him around, while the boys were jelous or wanted to be just like him. I think all this served to give him nothing but a big head. All this just because he was an Uchiha.

The room slowly filled as people came in, getting louder and louder. When Naruto came in Shikamaru paused in his talking to me.

"Naruto, only the people who graduated are supposed to be here."

"Hey! I graduated! See this headband? I'm an official leaf shinobi now! Just ask Sara!"

He turned and looked at me, and I nodded. "Really? What a drag."

We went on in our conversation, and I dully noted that Sakura and Ino were fighting over who would sit next to Sasuke. Why did that not surprise me.

"Hey Sara, I'll be right back, save my spot for me."

With that Shikamaru stood up, inadvertantly knocking Naruto, who was crouching on the desk in a glaring contest with Sasuke, forward to then, well, kiss him. Everyone stood shocked for a few moments, but that was broken by my hysterical laughter.

Almost all the fan girls were going to beat up Naruto, while Shikamaru was being scolded by at least five. Shikamaru and Naruto both shot me glances wanting me to help them, but I was way to busy laughing. That, my friends, was beyond hysterical.

Finally though Iruka walked in and the class settled down. He pulled out a list and started to call out names for our squads.

"Team 7: Sakura Haruno, Naruto Uzumaki, Sara, and Sasuke Uchiha."

"Hold it! Iruka-sensei, why are there four of us on this team? You said that these would be four man cells, including the sensei. So why does our group have four students?" Leave it to Sakura to state the obvious then ask a question.

"Yeah! Why does an awesome ninja like me have to be on the same team as Sasuke?" Naruto voiced. Before any of the fangirls could rip his throat out though, Iruka was answering.

"Well, Sakura, this year there was an unexpected graduate, so we balanced the teams accordingly, but there was still one person left over, so we put them on the best team for them. Naruto, we had to balance the teams out, Sasuke, he had the best grades in class, while you had the worst."

The whole class laughed at that and the matter ended there.

"Well then, we will dismiss you all to lunch. You can get to know your comrades during the break, afterwards you'll come back to meet up with your sensei's."

Everyone left and I looked up at my team, who were all, for whatever reason, seated on the row behind me. I didn't expect any of them to ask to eat lunch together, and I was right. I watched as they all walked out the door and in different directions.

I walked out too and decided to at least talk to my new team mates. I was already pretty much friends with two of them so I walked off in Sasuke's direction, since I didn't really know him.

Yeah so it's pretty official, I don't like Sasuke's attitude. I found him easily enough and went to talk to him. The conversation went something like this.

"Hey Sasuke, I'm Sara, we haven't really talked before, but I hope we can get along!"

"Hn"

"So what do you like to do Sasuke? I really like to draw and play shogi with Shikamaru, I don't really like to train though, it's too boring."

"Hn"

So you pretty much get the picture. I mean seriously, does he say anything other than that? Maybe like I don't know Hm? or possibly even a whole sentence?

Anyways I left Sasuke after about two minutes and walked off to go hang around in a tree. I picked one near Sakura, because I knew that she would go back on time, and I was going to space out and start drawing, for the first time this month.

Of course that never happened. I watched as Naruto walked up, of course he didn't look like himself though, he had used the Henge no Jutsu and transformed into Sasuke. Even more than that though, Sakura didn't even notice.

I watched with mild interest as they talked to eachother, but when they both started to lean in for a kiss it caught my attention. Naruto wouldn't really go that far, would he? But of course Naruto got what looked like stomache cramps at the last second. I would bet an entire mission's salary that he had either drank or eaten something past its expiration date. Most likely drank because the dude only eats ramen.

Either way he ran off with Sakura sitting there dumbfounded. She got this dreamy look though after a while.

Sometime later, Sasuke came walking down the walkway though. This time it was really him and not Naruto. This should prove to be interesting at least, especially considering what just happened.

"Oh, Sasuke, you're back!"

"Where's Naruto?" Was that just me, or did he just say something other than 'Hn'? I mean that was almost a full sentence.

"Who cares about Naruto? All he ever does is pull pranks. You know its because he doesn't have parents, if he had them he would be way more disciplined. As it is he just runs around causing trouble."

"What do you know of lonliness?"

"What was that Sasuke?"

"Shut up, you're annoying."

Ouch. You could see the pain on Sakura's face, and I had to feel bad for her. Her unrequited love just called her annoying, and that had to cause a little pain.

I waited until Sasuke was out of sight before jumping down to comfort her and to just talk to her.

"Hey Sakura, you all right? That was pretty harsh."

"I can't believe he called me annoying, why would he do that? Doesn't he hate Naruto too?"

"I think it was more what you said. You know that Sasuke is an orphan too right? I've heard people talking about it around town."

"I never knew that. Now I feel like a complete airhead and a jerk."

"It'll be alright Sakura, but try to cut Naruto some slack too, he's been through some pretty hard times. I'm sure the whole team has."

"Right. Wait, Sara, what do you mean the whole team? There's you and me still right?"

"Sakura, I've been through some things, they're vague and I can't remember them well, but I've been through them. If you haven't had them yet, you will before you die. No one gets though life without hardships."

"Alright, and thanks Sara, you're a good friend."

"Don't mention it. Should we head off to meet our new sensei?"

"Yeah let's go."

On the way to the classroom I saw Naruto, but he was passed out in front of the bathrooms. He definatly had some bad food. I grabbed him by the back of the collar and dragged him along behind us.
