Darkness.  Absolute darkness. Pen couldn't see or hear anything until she started to see neon swirls of color. Tick tock tick tock. She started having flashes of disapproval in her mind. "Why do I even bother talking to you?" "Why didn't you tell a teacher?" "We need to get out of here!" It was all too much for her. She awoke to Andrew shaking her. "Wake up! C'mon we have to get to the door! C'mon it's coming up!" Andrew said frantically. "What? Where are we and what door?" She asked. She thought they were falling down this "rabbit hole" but it turns out they were lightly floating down. It was mostly dark besides the illuminating neon lights. She saw a door and a platform underneath her. "You mean that door?" She asked. "Yeah, thanks I would've missed it if you didn't point it out" Andrew said sounding a little embarrassed. They lightly landed on the platform. "What would happen if we kept falling to the bottom?" She asked. "Well actually I don't know. I usually stop here but once you get one of the suits, there's a button that brings you to the surface of the portal." Andrew said. He scanned his arm and opened the door. The inside kind of looked like the inside of the police box from Dr. Who, but bigger and so much more technological. Pen saw a girl zoom by on what seemed like a floating skateboard. Pen followed her with her eyes and stared in awe. "Damn can you a least by me dinner first?" The girl said smiling sarcastically. "Sorry this place is incredible! How did you do that?" The girl tried to explain it to her. "Oh I just used the gravity proportion ray to create a level that lets the titanium plate balance on a liquid type surface. It's simple." Pen looked like her brain just blew a fuse. "I'm Zelda by the way, and I got to go before I miss my appointment at the workshop bye!" Zelda said as she zipped by on her board. "Oh my god, this place is ridiculous!" She said amazed. "That was nothing there is so much more than that." Andrew said. He took Pen to a room with about a trillion suits. "Oh god" She said being overwhelmed. "Don't hurt yourself this is high-tech equipment" Andrew said as tripped and fell on his face." Pen couldn't help but laugh, it was nice to see for her someone embarrass themselves that wasn't her. "Cut me some slack, I've been up for 4 days straight looking for your small ass town" Andrew said. "Okay whatever you say. I need more information though!" She said "Ok you have been recruited by the IGTASO because you are incredibly gifted and can do so many things because of your-" he trailed off looking above my head scratching behind his ear nervously." She turned around to see a man with grey streaks in his hair and a very strong looking body. "Andy we've talked about this. She will know when she is ready to know," the man said with a booming voice. "Hi there" Penelope said as her voice cracked from intimidation. "Penelope welcome to HQ, you have been recruited for reasons you will discover later to fight and defend time and space.....oh and I'm Jim by the way" Jim said. "Wow that's incredible I can't wait to find out and Jim? Really? I thought it would be something like Caldon or Mighty Being." Penelope said awkwardly. "You should start training" Jim said in a serious voice as he walked away" "Jesus he's like freaking evil Gandalf!" Penelope said, "I can still hear you" Jim said in the distance."Ok you should put on the suit" Andrew said "okay....Andy" Penelope said, "oh shut up I was recruited when I was 11." He said. "Um can you turn around?" Penelope said, "Why?", "So I can get changed into my suit." Penelope said with an obvious tone. "Sorry my bad" Andy said turning around. Penelope changed into her suit while asking many questions about what would happen now. Would she see her mom again, why was she recruited, when's lunch, questions like that. Penelope had a choice, she could stay in the team forever and help save the world, or stay with her mom and get bullied everyday. She chose to join the team..obviously but she needed answers.
