Chapter Twenty Two: Tell Me More.
Walking down the dirty concrete stairs into the basement, my fists tighten causing my knuckles to turn white. Looming in front of the cell, Dale's head lays down with blood dripping from his nose. You can hear the splatter as it lands into the puddle of the dark thick liquid that lays in front of him. Shackles grasp his wrists holding him still, hesitantly he looks up. Horror pulses through him with a shiver, unlocking the cells I take menacing steps towards him. He leans back onto the wall, staring at me.
"J-Jacob, I'm so sorry!" Dale pleads for forgiveness, grasping the top of his shirt we are face to face. Rage fills inside of me, as it takes over my actions.
"First, you take her in when she's suppose to be with me, then you harm her. Wrong move." His eyes widen, not looking away from him, Dale releases a soft sob.
"It took over Jacob, you know that feeling!" His statement angers me more. She could've died because he couldn't control himself, her soft skin has been harmed because of him.
"You're lucky to be alive right. Why don't I just kill you now?" I continue with anger laced into the words, "Listen well, you don't touch what doesn't belong to you."

Staring up at the dark ceiling my ears are enveloped with the sounds of rain pounding down onto the roof, while soft sounds of thunder follows behind it. My thoughts take the best of me, questions and worries drown my brain. The dark shadow of anxiety creeps its way behind me, sitting up quickly my body quickly curls up into a ball. My nails dig into the skin of my legs, tucking my head oxygen becomes less and less. Breathing heavily the shadow looms over me with a sadistic smile, wondering what it can do next to make me feel worse. Not a moment later, my hands start to shake. A heavy feeling resting over my chest. Wanting to play the ukulele to make this stop, I look around but no source of help is found. It's laughter has me trapped while it whispers into my ear, a sob racks out of me.
The door bursts open, startled I tense and curl up tighter into my ball. A shadow casts upon me as the tall figure stands in the doorway.
"Shorty?" A voice questions, staying in the ball quick footsteps draw near. A small sound is heard near the nightstand before a gentle hand is placed onto my back. Hesitantly, I look up to find Jacob's warm green eyes. Throwing my arms around him, he tenses from my sudden move. Wondering if I've done anything wrong, my mind ponders if I should back away. Before I could, Jacob's strong bulky arms wrap around me, acting as a shield.
The shadow hurriedly leaves as if the hug was poison to his ghost figure. Breathing a long breath, my hands slowly stop shaking. Jacob pulls me closer to him as his warm breathe tickles the bridge of my neck.
"Tell me more." I state, he pulls away as he moves his hands onto my waist. An eyebrow is raised on his handsome face, as sigh escapes from me.
"Tell me more about Micheal." I answer, he nods his head. Moving over he sits beside me, a long breath is heard from him while he stares at the wall.
"When your adopted parents just had Jasper, they found out that he was sick and was soon going to die. Your adopted father, called Micheal since he knew that he could heal Jasper with his blood. Once Micheal healed Jasper, your parents had to pay for his action by taking care of you." He looks over at me, nodding my head pushing him to continue.
"Your Mother's dying wish was for you to never find out about the supernatural world. That's why they had to take care of you instead of Micheal." He states looking over at me while fidgeting with his ring, taking everything in slowly, Jacob looks over at me.
"But over time Micheal decided not to listen, he hired men to find you and kidnap you so that way it would make it easier for him to get to you. One of those men were one of your friends, I believe his name was Ben." He states, sucking in a breathe, flashes of his death appear in my mind. The blood, his voice and the dark alley. He worked for my father? But why?
"Why? Why did they work for him?" Getting slightly angered of the information I've just heard, Jacob shakes his head while shrugging his shoulders.
"I don't know." He grumbles, sighing again I lay back onto the bed. Looking over at the nightstand I find a old book next to a large bowl. Confused I roll over and look closely.
"Oh yeah, forgot to give this to you." Jacob states while getting up quickly and grabs the bowl. Sitting up so my back rests onto the head board, my hands wrap around the warm bowl. Thanking Jacob, he smiles and sits next to me. Dipping the spoon into the bowl, I take a sip of the soup. It's warm flavor grazes against my taste buds.
"My plan is to use you to find Micheal." Jacob mumbles, choking on the soup, I cough trying to breath. His eyes widen as he pats my back.
"Your alright?" Jacob questions after my long coughing fit, waving him off I take another sip of the soup once more. After doing so, I stare at Jacob with eyes glared, "You plan to use me as bait?" I exclaim, anger laced in my words. Jacob swallows loudly while he puts his hands in surrender.
"I wouldn't put it as that." He states while looking down at his hand, fidgeting with his ring once more. Rolling my eyes, a sigh is heard from me like before.
"You just relax and continue what you usually do." Jacob states with a smile, grumbling under my breath I stare at his large muscular back as he walks away. Like before, he looks back at me but this time with a smirk.
