Chapter Three: Drained Of Blood

"Good morning class!" Ms. Sadie exclaims as she struts towards the front of the classroom. She wears a tight black pencil skirt with a bright white blouse and some black high heels. I don't know how she walks in them all day but she's able too. Jessica and I sit by each other in the back of the classroom. Most of the guys stare at our teacher with heart eyes as some of the girls envy her. She's been working at the school for a few years now, she really is a nice lady but her voice is very annoying. I'm only able to stay in her class a small amount of time because of that m.

Ms. Sadie has us all take our books out for her class as she hands us worksheets. I take a deep breathe to not stress out about anything. I'm the type of person that gets stressed out easily, when I was little stressing out everyday was a normal thing. Therefor, I would have to take pills to not to do it as much. Of course I've figured out a way to not stress out as much by taking deep breathes every once and a while.

"Well this is going to be fun." Jessica whispers in my ear with a small smile as we both stare down at the work. A small groan escapes my lips, Jessica lightly giggles at my reaction.

The loud sound of the bell echoes threw the school as kids pack up their belongings. I take the heavy book and put it into my bag.

"Sage sweetheart, can I talk to you?" A polite voice questions behind me, once my bag is zipped up. I turn to see the person behind me is Ms.Sadie. With a nod of my head and a goodbye to Jessica the class is now completely empty.

"I'm sorry for the loss of your parents. I really am-" She starts off, my anger is boiling as those words fall out of her mouth.

"I don't want pity. You're here to talk to me about something. What it is?" I interrupt her with a cross of my arms. She looks taken back for a moment before a sigh escapes her lips.

"Right to it, I like that. You've been seeming so down in the dumps lately. Go live life Sage! Your in high school for peeps sake. Go out! Have fun!" She exclaims with hand motions to make the moment even more extravagant.

"With all due respect ma'am, your here to teach me Biology not how to have fun." My voice is stern the whole time while making eye contact with my annoying teacher.

"Have a great weekend Ms. Sadie." I say slowly walking out of her classroom towards my next period. As I look back towards my Biology teacher her mouth is agape while she stares at me. Kids scramble into her class causing me to loose sight of my teacher.

The bell rings again telling me that I'm late to class. Kids run into their next period leaving the hallway empty. The sound of my footsteps echo threw out this gloomy place. I can no longer see the sun as clouds cover it's rays. It might rain again, don't know why people come here during the summer. All it does is rain. Since I'm late to my class might as well not go and just relax in the library. The walk to the library is very quite since no ones in the hallways.

A beep sound goes off as I open the door to enter the library. The old librarian looks over at me with a smile. The librarian has grey curly hair that is cut very short as she wears a pink shirt and some momma jeans.

"Good morning Sage!" She exclaims with a smile on her face. Her skinny fingers holds a large red book.

"Morning. Is Jessica here?" I ask with an eyebrow raised. She leans back in her chair while pointing to the direction of where Jessica is. I see her over on the computer doing some research. Thanking the nice librarian I slowly walk towards Jessica. She is so focused on researching that she hasn't noticed me, so I tapped her shoulder. Her head snaps over towards me, a small smile on her face. She looks back over to the bright computer screen. I sit down in the cheap wooden pchair beside her.

"Look at this." She states while pointing at something on the computer screen. I look closely to see a specific amount of people that have been missing since last month.

"Holy crap, sixteen people have gone missing." My voice is astonished as my eyes focus on the screen.

"And look at this." She states while pointing to the next sentence on the screen. My mouth drops as my eyes widen.

"They've only found four bodies that went missing." I lightly whisper to myself. What the heck is going on in this small town? I don't pay attention to the news therefor I never knew of this information.

"Get this, all the bodies that were found are drained of blood with a bite somewhere on the dead body." She exclaims while looking over at me. I raise an eyebrow as I stare at her.

"What do you think this means?" I question while she stares back at me. The library is dead silent we're the only noise that can be heard in this quite room.

"I don't know." She whispers back with a small amount of fear in her voice. Footsteps are heard from behind us, my eyes trail over to find the victim of the noise. Standing behind us is Ben with a humongous smirk on his face. His arms are crossed as Jessica and I stare at him.

"Skipping class?" He questions us, my eyes roll as I lean back in my seat. He's obviously trying to get us in trouble, I really don't care to be honest.

"It's not like you haven't done it before, what do you want?" My voice snaps as I start to get annoyed. Ben puts his hands up in surrender as he slowly back away from us, he knows not to mess with me right now.

"Never mind then." He says while walking away, he was probably asking one of us out on a date again. He's so annoying. Jessica just groans while rolling her eyes. I don't blame her that's how I'm feeling right now. A loud sound echoes threw out the school. It's time for third period. A groan escapes my lips as I lean my head back. Jessica just lightly laughs at me while she packs up for her next class.

Rain pours down from the sky and hits my black truck as I'm driving down a narrow road towards the grocery store. After school I went home to get some homework done to find nobody home. Hopefully Jasper is alright. My phone vibrates in the cup holder beside the drivers seat. The green light turns a bright red as my phone is now beside my ear.

"Hello." I greet the other person on the line, as the rain pounds down onto my truck.

"Hey Sage." Jasper's voice comes from the other line, well speak of the devil. A small smile is on my face.

"What's up? Are you alright?" I question worried he will go back to his old self.

"I'm fine no need to stress, I'll be spending the night with Cole and Scott." He says, trying to not get me to stress about anything since he knows what I had to do when I was younger.

"I'll trust you on this one Jasper. Whose house will you be staying at?" My voice comes out like a soft whisper as Jasper chuckles from the other line.

"Scotts." He answers, the red light changed back to bright green. Soon, I'm driving down the long road with cars behind me and in front of me.

"Alright." I state with a smile on my face. Family and friends are the only people I actually smile too. I'm able to act like my normal self around them.

"I love you." Jasper whispers, my eyes are wide as my mouth drops. Jasper never says that. He think those three words are useless and cheesy. Hearing him say it created a gigantic grin on my face.

"I love you too, big bro." My voice is very cheery as I respond. A beep comes from my phone alerting me the call has ended. As my phone is dropped back into the cup holder a grin is proudly shown on my face while I turn into the grocery store parking lot.
