Behind the Local Library

I lay against the wall, ready for Shelly to come. Knowing him, he'll be here on the dot. I look down at my gloved hands. "Edgeworth, do you think it will work? It's not your plan so it might fail..."

"Please Wrighty, stop doubting yourself. It's bad for you." He fiddles with his knife, aching to kill.

"You're very intelligent and this is a pretty good plan." Edgeworth slips the knife back into his coat pocket and goes to the other side of the building.

Out of the shadows of dawn, Shelly comes up. His footsteps were silent unlike my heavy breathing. His white hair blends in with the full moon, same with his skin. "Phoenix Wright... An odd attorney who decided to dabble in the dark arts and crime..."

I wanted to say 'it's not my first time or my last' but I just nod along. "Yeah. It's just there's this prosecutor who keeps whipping me. She might think it's hot but it's pissing me off. So I wondered if you could send her to death for me?" I wobble back and forth.

Everytime I have my feet touch the ground, Edgeworth takes a step closer. "So you want me to kill her?"

"Yes... For how much?" I grab the bag Edgeworth gave me from off the grass that will soon be stained red. I dig my hands into the newspaper filled bag with some money inside.

"10,000."

"10,000!?' I step back, letting Edgeworth get only 5 feet away from his victim. "That's a lot?!"

"Human lives are hard to price you know. I was being nice by letting it be much cheaper than normal since you helped me with the trial of Matt one year back." I nod and get closer. "Mr. Wright, what are you doing?"

I grab his shirt and step on his feet. "I'm sorry, but you're in our way." Edgeworth's arm wraps around his neck and the knife gets raised.

Victor Tem's POV

8 years old

2:05 am

Running towards the library

Stupid parents... Why won't they let me adventure at night? I just want to see the fireflies! I stretch my hands behind me, trying to run faster like the Jammin' Ninja. With my newfound ninja power, I run faster towards the library. I wonder if it's open at night?

Or... Is there a secret door at the back of the library? That would be awesome! Closer I get I see two figures in the night. Maybe they found the secret door? I'm going to ask them! But they are strangers and mommy says not to talk to strangers... But she also told me not to go out at night so I guess they aren't strangers.

Closers I got to the two, a noise of laughter became louder. Maybe they're telling funny jokes? If they are, they're good people! When I was only about 12 yards away the laughing person turns towards me. He had paint all over himself and a tool of somesort.

Closer I got, the more worried the paint guy looked. I stop about one yard away from them. "Hey guys! Whatcha doing?"
