Ash Pov

We finally arrived in Kalos, present day. I got off of dialga, put him back in his master ball and ran towards Vaniville town. I couldn't wait to see Serena.

~MOMENTS LATER~

By the time I arrived at Serena's door, it was already sunset. I raised my fist and knocked on the door anxiously. I waited for a little bit in anticipation until Serena's mom, Grace, opened the door.

Grace was already in her pajamas, seeing how the sky was pretty much black now, with only the light from the stars and the moon to illuminate the outdoors.

Grace yawned and said "Who could that be at this hour?" Which was a very good question considering it was about 9:30 p.m. Grace widened her eyes at the sight of me.

"Ash? Is that you?" She inquired. "Yup it's me!" I said with my signature grin while rubbing my nose. "Oh, Serena will be so happy! She's in her room, upstairs. She's probably still up." She informed me. "Thank you." I said.

I walked past the threshold, quietly upstairs, and opened serena's door slowly. She was still up, but luckily she wasn't facing the door. I crept up behind her, put my hands over her eyes and said "Guess who!"

She turned around quickly and yelled, "Ash!?!" As she tacked me in a hug. She wet my shirt with tears of joy.

After a little bit, we parted from the hug and Serena grabbed both of my cheeks and kissed me. She pulled away quickly, blushing. She said "I'm sorry! I kinda got carried away." She said nervously.

I was blushing as well, which was odd, even for me! "N-no! Don't be sorry! I-I kinda liked it." I mumbled the last part just loud enough for Serena to hear.

"R-really?" She stuttered. "Well, yeah. Serena, I don't know how to say this, but I'm gonna try," I inhaled "You're really, really special to me. Whenever I'm around you, my heart beats fast, and I get butterflies in my stomach but I like it. You are more important to me than any other travelling companion I've ever had. So I think it's safe to say... I love you Serena." I poured my heart out, scared what she had to say.

Serena just sat there in shock. "Ash...," she started. "I love you too. And I have since summer camp." Serena said sincerely. "Really? Sorry for not noticing earlier." I sweatdropped. "It's fine. After all, you're here now."

I pulled her into a hug. We stayed in this position for a minute or so. I then retracted and said, "Serena, will you be my girlfriend?" Serena gasped with her hands over her mouth. "Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times, YES!!"

She lunged towards me and smashed her lips on mine as we started to move our lips in sync. The door started to open, so we parted from the tender kiss to see Grace at the doorway."Oh I'm sorry, am I interuppting anything?" She was holding up her phone, indicating she was recording the whole thing.

"MOM!!! GET OUT!!!" Serena screamed. We kissed one more time and then put our foreheads together, looking deeply into each other's eyes.

"I love you." We said in unison.
