Ash Pov

"Wait....WHAT?!?!?" I said, taken aback by what Bonnie just said. "I don't want to admit it, but Bonnie is right. Serena died a couple months ago. Bonnie and I are having a hard time accepting it." Clemont said, mourning about Serena's death. "How did she die?" I said quietly. "Well..." Clemont started.

~flashback~

Serena's Pov

I was walking to anistar city, the location of my next showcase, with Miette, Shauna, and Nini. But, suddenly, a huge wave of people came running towards us. "RUN!!! YVELTAL IS COMING!!!!", shouted a man. "Yveltal? The legendary Pokémon?" Questioned Shauna. "That's the one! The Pokémon of death and destruction! RUN!!!!" Shouted Miette, in a panic. "LET'S GO!!!" shouted Shauna, running away with Nini and Miette.

"I can take him. Let's go, Braixen, Panchum, and Sylveon!" I said, throwing my three pokéballs in the air. "Braix, Braixen!" "Panchum, pan!" "Syl! Veon!" My three trusty Pokémon shouted upon materializing. On the horizon, I saw the Y-shaped Pokémon of death. It's shear size was enough to overwhelm me. I was terrified, but confident about my Pokémon. Once Yveltal grew close enough, I commanded my Pokémon. "Sylveon, use moonblast, Panchum, use stone edge, and Braixen, use fire blast!" Sylveon charged up the powerful move, a ball of light in her mouth. Panchum powered up his move, his paws glowing bright blue. Braixen pulled her stick out of her tail, lighting it on fire. Once Yveltal was right in front of us, I had them unleash their moves. "Now!" I shouted. Sylveon released a large beam of light toward Yveltal. Panchum slammed his glowing fists into the ground, large blue spiked appearing. Braixen twirled her stick, then releasing a large fire blast towards Yveltal. All the attacks hit Yveltal at the same time. When the smoke cleared, we saw Yveltal. Without a single scratch. My eyes widen in fear as this might very well be the end for me. Yveltal charges his signature move, oblivion wing, in the midst of his body. I try to run, but fail, as the death-causing move grows ever closer. I shut my eyes, prepared to die. Right before it hit, however, my life flashed before my eyes. My first steps, my first words, and my journey. But one thing sticks out to me the most.

Ash.

Ash Pov

Here I am. At Serena's grave. After hearing how she died, I ran straight to the cemetery. Her Pokémon's graves were right next to her's. I had a bouquet of flowers in my hand. I began to speak to her grave. "Serena. I have missed you so much since our journey together. I think about you every day. Your amazing cerulean eyes, your short, shining honey-blonde hair, and your beautiful smile. It is only now I realize I miss these things because I know I will never see them again. These things and so many more are the reason I love you, Serena Yvonne." I laid the flowers on her grave, and silently walked away, tears streaming down my face.
