Ash Pov

I walked down the plane's steps carefully this time. "Let's go, Pikachu!" I said. I ran off, heading to Vaneville town. "Look, Pikachu! There's Prism Tower! Let's go see Clemont and Bonnie!" I said excitedly. "Pika, Pikachu!" Pikachu said in agreement.

I ran as fast as I could, hoping to see Bonnie and Clemont as soon as possible. I get to the entrance and go inside. I am greeted by a secretary behind a desk. "Hello there. What can I do for you today?" She asked kindly. "I'm here to see Clemont and Bonnie!" "Do you have an appointment?" She asked. I didn't know I had to have an appointment! "Well, I... No, I don't. But, I am good friends with them!" I said, hoping I would still be able to see them. "Hmmm... Say, what's your name?" She asked, deep in thought. "My name's Ash. Ash Ketchum." I said confidently. "Oh, my! I thought I recognized you from somewhere! I'm so sorry! Please, go right ahead." Huh. I can't believe that worked! But, I'm not complaining.

I went up the elevator to the 3rd floor. It was the battle arena. I hoped there would be a battle when I got there. And sure enough, when the elevator doors opened, I saw Clemont battling a trainer with Bonnie as the referee. I knew they would be here! I sat down on the bleachers and waited for the battle to end.

No one's Pov

On the right side, there was Clemont with Luxray as his battling Pokémon. On the left, a trainer with red and black shoes, blue jeans, a red jacket with a white zipper, a white collar, and black short sleeves. He also had black sweatbands on both of his wrists. He also had a red hat with half of a pokéball in white, with a white bill. He had a yellow backpack as well. He had Charizard as his battling Pokémon. "..." Said the person on the left while pointing at Luxray. Charizard then flew high in the air and released probably the largest flamethrower in history. Luxray's eyes widened as he watched the flamethrower come towards him. The flamethrower hit and made a massive explosion. When the smoke cleared, Luxray had swirly eyes and was on the floor. "Luxray is unable to battle, the winner is Charizard, meaning the victor of this battle is Red!" Bonnie exclaimed. Clemont walked over to red and gave him the Voltage Badge. "This is proof of your win against the Lumiose Gym." Clemont said. "..." Said Red, thanking Clemont. And with that, Red walked to the elevator and exited the building.

Ash Pov

Now that the battle was over, I walked up to Bonnie and Clemont and said, "Hey, guys! Long time, no see, huh?" They were kind of startled because they didn't notice me before. They were frozen in shock. Until, "Ash! I'm so glad you're back!" Bonnie exclaimed while hugging my leg. "Nice to see you too, Bonnie." I said while patting her head. She let go of my leg and then Clemont began to speak. "You've been gone on you're journey for a while now. Why did you come back?" Asked Clemont curiously. "I came back to see Serena!" I exclaimed, wanting to see Serena right this second. Their smiles turned into frowns. Bonnie was on the verge of tears. "W-what's wrong?!" I said, taken aback by their reaction. "You see, Ash... Serena is no longer with us." Clemont said sadly. "W-what do you mean? I-is she in another region?" I asked, scared of the answer. "I'm afraid not." Said Clemont, a tear rolling down his cheek. "SERENA IS DEAD!" said Bonnie, completely in tears. "W-what?!?!" I exclaimed.

Oooh, plot twist! I bet you weren't expecting that, were you? Anyways, sorry if this seems like a late update, I just took my sweet time to plan and write it.
