Chapter 5: A Bump in the Night
Your POV
I sat up screaming and crying from a nightmare I had just had. I pressed my knees against my chest, crying into the small hole between my legs and my torso, I leaned in crying harder. I had never experienced this much sadness before, it was strange because the dream was more horrifying than sad. I heard a loud banging at my door. I wiped the tears from my eyes and went to go answer it.
Mark's POV
I was awakened by the sound of small sad whines which grew louder into screaming and crying. I ran quickly tword (y/n)'s door, almost bashing it in with my knocking. It only took a couple seconds before a tear soaked girl opened the door. Without any second thought I rushed in and hugged her tightly, she started crying again as I stroked the back of her head.
"Shh..." I whispered into her ear. "Do you want to tell me what's wrong?" (y/n) pulled away slightly looking up and nodding to me. We went and sat on the bed and explained the story.
Your POV
"Well," I started, my voice still shaking slightly. "I was... staying in a dorm with you (weird, I know) when I... fell down a flight of stairs. All I can remember after that is you came to rescue me." I looked into Mark's hard brown eyes, suddenly I saw a small glittering tear fell from his eye and roll down his cheek, then another, then another, then another until he was full on crying. I took him into my arms and told him something I had never told anyone else before.
"Mark," I stated, holding his head up to look into my eyes. "Whenever I watched a video or even saw you at all...... you always seemed oddly familiar." When I said those words he started to cry harder.
"What!? What happened? Did I say something wrong!?" I was desperate for answers now. I looked him dead in the eyes and he stopped clenching his muscles and his eyes softened.
"(Y/n)... I've wanted to tell you this ever since I first saw you from behind that box. A long time ago we did live in the same dorm and you did fall down the stairs and I had to rush you to the hospital. When we got there they told me......." He stopped and cried a slight bit more before continuing. "They told me that you had lost... your memories, memories of me. I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you to get upset but I really should have said something." He stopped, I could still hear sorrow behind his words. I hugged him tightly, both of us crying on my bed. I yawned slightly before I dozed off.
