Third Person POV
Even though Tul was prepared to spend a sleepless night, somehow, probably out of physical and mental exhaustion, he must have fallen asleep because when he regained consciousness, he noticed the thin ray of sunlight streaming through the small gap between the two curtains covering their bedroom window.
He glanced at the digital clock on the dresser table. It was exactly seven o'clock in the morning. He had a full hour to spare before having to clock in to work.
He forced himself to get out of bed and do his morning ritual. He bravely held back his tears as a strong feeling of loneliness swept over his whole being.
He let the strong steady stray of water from the shower head hit his face to wash away the tears that were slowly trickling down his cheeks.
Why? Why would Max do something like this??? What had he done to deserve to be deserted by him like this without a proper explanation?
He ran Max's good bye note through his brain one more time.
To my ex-lover
I guess there is no reason anymore for us to stay together. You have made an important choice in your life and I will respect it.
Do not try to contact me in any way because it would be a waste of your time and energy.
Your ex-lover,
Max
What, what reason was no longer there for them to stay together? What important choice did he make that made Max leave him?
With one swift move, Tul punched the bathroom wall so hard and instantly regretted it. He saw the water turn red as his blood trickled from the knuckles of his fingers but somehow his nerves must have been deadened by the strong force because he did not feel any pain. At first.
By the time he stepped out of the shower, he started to feel the pounding excruciating pain. His hand just wouldn't stop bleeding.
He opened the bathroom cabinet and took out the first aid kit. He took out the gauze roll and started wrapping it around his hand. He wrapped it tight like a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.
He then grabbed his towel and without bothering to dry his hair and body, he just wrapped the towel around his waist and went to the kitchen and poured water into the electric kettle before plugging it into the corner outlet. He did not realize that he had poured water that was good for two mugs.
He walked over to the cabinets that lined one wall of the kitchen and took out two mugs. Then he went to the other set of cabinets and took out two bags of organic jasmine tea and placed one into each mug. Before long, the electric kettle turned from boiling to warm. He used his left hand to slowly and carefully pour the hot water into each mug.
Then he took out four slices of wheat bread and placed them inside the toaster oven before going to the fridge to take out the jar of marmalade. When the bread was ready he placed them on a platter and with his left hand carefully applied some marmalade on to each slice of wheat bread. He had forgotten why his right dominant hand had to be wrapped tightly in a gauze roll.
He then walked over to the bedroom to wake up Max and instantly collapsed on the thickly carpeted floor when it hit him once more that Max was no longer in his life.
He must have bawled loud enough to get through the wall of one of the neighbors because suddenly there was first a buzz and then a pounding on his door.
He slowly got up and without thinking used his bandaged hand to wipe off the tears from his eyes and cheeks.
He walked over to the door and opened it. It was the young man next door who, every time he happened to be on the same elevator with him, would smile a greeting to him and would be blushing awkwardly from ear to ear. The boy was probably not a day older than sixteen.

For those who might not know him, his name is Phuwin Tangsakyuen, currently the lead in the BL series "Fish Upon the Sky".
He stood there looking wide eyed and frightened at Tul.
"Are you alright? Are you okay? Are you alright? Are you okay? Are you ..." he was asking over and over.
"I'm alright, thank you for asking," Tul replied and moved to close the door on him but the boy placed his hand on the door to stop him from doing so.
"No! You're not alright! Tell me, please tell me, what can I do for you???" the boy insisted.
"Bring Max back to me," Tul replied, forcibly closing the door on him.
