MANY HOGWARTS STUDENTS HAVE BEEN LOST TO THE FORBIDDEN FOREST, NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN. Well, until today. Because now, these missing Hogwarts students are emerging from the woods's depths as if not a day has gone by, every child still a child, even if they had disappeared one hundred years ago.

GWENLLIAN GRYFFINDOR, THE TEENAGE DAUGHTER OF GODRIC, WAS THE FIRST TO ENTER THE FORBIDDEN FOREST AND NEVER RETURN. Funnily enough, she was also the first to exit, twigs tangled in her hair and agitation evident in the twist of her mouth. She was not aware that she had been gone for over one thousand years. According to legend, she was gathering cherries for a pie. According to Gwenllian, she was on a mission to show her father that Herbology was a tried and true practice deserving of a class.

TOBIAS PRICE EXITED THE WOODS SOON AFTER, A SIXTH YEAR FROM 1969 WHO HAD GONE INTO THE FORBIDDEN FOREST IN SEARCH OF HIS RUN-AWAY CAT, NIBBLES. Nibbles came back that faithful day, Tobias didn't. Now, he must grapple with descendants of his dear friends roaming the halls of a school he once called home, all without his beloved flighty cat.

AFTER THAT, THEY CAME IN DROVES. Students from all eras of time return to Hogwarts grounds. The war is finally finished, and yet here Minerva McGonagall stands with a frustrating dilemma—what to do with the children sprinkled into the present, once plucked right from the past, and why now do they return, safe and sound? Is this a gift from the forest, or is it a curse?

author's note!

i never thought this would see the light of day, but here we are!

this fic is going to be set in the next generation era and will have a vague mystery, but the plot will mainly be character driven, so give me interesting characters! i can't wait to dive into this story. the forbidden forest has so much potential in its spookiness that she-who-must-not-be-named did not utilize at all. i hope to fix this, but we'll see!
