I look up and I see

The ever falling snow

Many touch my face

My lashes

My woolly hat

And my warm coat

There's white on the red

And then it's gone

Suddenly I miss it

Suddenly I wish it was there

Suddenly I feel lonely

Then another sits

Another white on my red

But then it goes away

I wanted it to be with me

To stay close forever

But forever is such a bad lie

I see them come

I see them go

I never knew any of them

But I love them all

And hate them all

Because when they leave

Suddenly I am alone

I look up and I see

The ever falling snow

Many touch my hands

My heart

And earn my love

And then they are gone

Suddenly I am alone
