The Forbidden Love

Meenakshi's heart sank as she watched Kunal and Kuhu exchange their wedding vows. Her mind was clouded with anger and disappointment, unable to comprehend how her own son could marry someone she deemed unworthy.

She had built a wall of expectations around Kunal, hoping he would make a more suitable choice, but now, that wall was crumbling before her eyes.

As the ceremony concluded, Meenakshi approached Kunal, her voice filled with a mix of sadness and determination. "Kunal, I cannot accept this marriage. Kuhu is not the right match for you, and I refuse to support it. I am disowning you as my son."

Kunal looked at his mother, his eyes welling up with tears. "Maa, I understand your disappointment, but please try to see it from my perspective. Kuhu is not just a person; she is the love of my life. We have shared countless moments of joy and laughter, and I cannot imagine my life without her."

Meenakshi's face hardened, her voice unyielding. "Love is not enough, Kunal. We come from a respected family, and our decisions carry weight and consequences. Marrying someone like Kuhu will tarnish our reputation and our standing in society. I cannot allow that to happen."

Kunal took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to reach his mother's heart. "Maa, I understand your concerns about our reputation, but love knows no boundaries. Kuhu may not come from the same background as us, but she is an incredible person with a heart full of love and kindness. She completes me, and I cannot let go of the happiness we have found together."

Meenakshi's stern gaze softened slightly as she listened to her son's heartfelt plea. "Kunal, I have always wanted the best for you, to see you flourish and lead a life of prosperity. I fear that marrying Kuhu will bring you nothing but hardship and struggle."

Kunal stepped closer to his mother, his voice filled with determination. "Maa, life is not just about material wealth or societal standing. It is about finding happiness, being true to oneself, and embracing the love that comes our way. Kuhu has shown me a world beyond materialism, a world where love and compassion prevail. I am willing to face any challenges that come our way because her love is my strength ".

Meenakshi stood in the grand hallway of their ancestral home, her eyes ablaze with a mixture of fury and disappointment. Her son, Kunal, stood before her, his hand intertwined with Kuhu's. The tension in the air was palpable as Meenakshi's gaze shifted from Kunal to Kuhu, her disapproval cutting through the silence like a sharp blade.

"You have chosen this path," Meenakshi's voice was cold and unforgiving. "You have chosen her over your family, over everything we stand for."

Kunal's jaw clenched, his resolve unwavering. "Maa, I love Kuhu. I cannot deny my heart. I can't live a lie just to fit into your idea of our family."

Meenakshi's eyes narrowed. "Then you leave me no choice. If you choose to go against our family, our traditions, then you are no longer a part of this family. You are no longer my son."

The words hung in the air, heavy and final. Kunal's heart sank, but he remained resolute. He turned to Kuhu, gripping her hand tighter, seeking solace in their shared defiance.

Meenakshi looked at her son, torn between her love for him and her deep-rooted beliefs. She realized that Kunal's determination was unshakeable, and she couldn't bear to see him unhappy. With a heavy heart, she nodded slowly, tears welling up in her eyes. "If this is truly what makes you happy, then I will support your decision, even if it means losing you."

Kunal's eyes filled with gratitude as he hugged his mother tightly. "Thank you, Maa. I love you, and I will always cherish the memories we have shared here. I hope that one day you will understand and accept Kuhu as a part of our family."

With that, Kunal packed his belongings and walked out of the house, hand in hand with Kuhu. As they stepped into the world together, they knew that they would face numerous challenges, but their love would be their guiding light.

As Kunal and Kuhu walked out of the grand doors, the weight of Meenakshi's disownment settled heavily on his shoulders. Yet, amidst the turmoil, Kunal felt a strange sense of freedom. He had chosen love over tradition, and as he looked at Kuhu, he knew that their love would weather any storm.

In the days that followed, Kunal and Kuhu found themselves navigating a world that felt both unfamiliar and liberating. The support they found in unexpected places gave them hope. Abir, Kunal's brother, stood by them, his unwavering loyalty a beacon of strength. Their mother's disapproval had not fractured their bond; rather, it had strengthened their resolve to build a life together, on their own terms.

As Kunal and Kuhu began to carve out their own path, they discovered a community of individuals who celebrated love in all its forms. Their journey was not without its challenges, but they faced them together, finding joy in the freedom to love without restraint.

And amidst the chaos, a new understanding began to dawn in Meenakshi's heart. As she watched Kunal and Kuhu flourish despite her rejection, she found herself questioning the rigidity of her own beliefs. The love that her son had chosen had not led to ruin, but to a newfound strength and resilience.

In the quiet of her thoughts, Meenakshi began to grapple with the realization that love was not something to be constrained by tradition or expectation. It was a force that defied boundaries, weaving its way through the tapestry of their lives, leaving behind a trail of understanding and growth.

Meenakshi came back Rajvash Sadan before Misthi and Abir complete their wedding rituals.

Tara consoled her mother as she says "Maa whatever had to happen has happened, we can't change our past but we need to make it beautiful for Abir Bhai and bhabhi. Make Misthi bhabhi feel welcomed. Kunal doesn't owe neither yours not Misthi Bhabhi's apology".

Meenakshi could only nod in affirmation and started preparing to welcome her son and daughter in law Misthi.

Everyone blessed Abir and Misthi for new life ahead and a happily ever after.

Sometimes in life, one needs to accept thorns with roses. The beauty of rose will die soon but thorns doesn't leave their nature of pricking skin.
