Tara's Journey to her Dreams
Tara sat nervously on the couch, fidgeting with her hands as she tried to find the right words to tell Abir about her scholarship. She knew how much her brother cared for her and she didn't want to disappoint him by leaving for the US for five years.
Meenakshi, their mother, noticed Tara's anxiety and sat down next to her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Tara. Abir will be happy for you. He loves you and wants the best for you," she reassured.
Tara took a deep breath and mustered up the courage to speak. "I...I got a scholarship for my higher studies in clinical psychology in the US," she finally said, looking up at her brother who was sitting across from her.
Abir looked at Tara with a mixture of surprise and pride. "That's wonderful, Tara! I'm so proud of you," he exclaimed, a smile spreading across his face.
Tara's heart swelled with relief as she saw her brother's genuine happiness for her. "I know it's a long way from home, but it's an opportunity I can't pass up," she explained. "I hope you understand."
Abir nodded, his smile never fading. "Of course, Tara. We'll miss you, but this is an amazing opportunity for you to pursue your dreams. We'll always be here to support you, no matter where you are," he said, reaching out to give her a hug.
Tears welled up in Tara's eyes as she embraced her brother. She felt a sense of gratitude for having such a supportive and loving family. Together, they sat in silence, enjoying the moment of togetherness before Tara's journey to the US began.
As they sat together, Meenakshi looked at her children with pride and love. "I know it's difficult to say goodbye, but remember that our love will always bind us together, no matter the distance," she said, her voice filled with emotion.
Tara and Abir nodded in agreement, knowing that their family will always be there for each other, no matter where life takes them. And as Tara prepared for her new adventure in the US, she carried with her the love and support of her family, giving her the strength to face any challenge that came her way.
Tara felt a mix of excitement and nervousness as she walked through the bustling mall with Abir and Misthi by her side. She couldn't help but feel grateful for this brief moment of normalcy before her big journey to the US.
Abir, always the caring elder brother, took her hand and guided her through the racks of clothes in the store, picking out beautiful dresses for her. "You'll need these for all the special occasions in the US," he said with a smile, his eyes full of love for his little sister.
Tara tried on each dress, feeling his love and care woven into every fabric. It was his way of showing her that even though he wouldn't physically be there with her in the US, his love and support would always be present.
Misthi joined in the excitement, helping Tara choose accessories and shoes that would complement the dresses. The three of them laughed and chatted, momentarily forgetting the impending separation that loomed over them.
But the day of Tara's departure arrived all too soon. As they stood outside the airport, the air heavy with emotions, Tara felt her heart ache at the thought of leaving her family behind. Abir and Misthi held her tightly, their tears matching hers as they bid her a tearful goodbye.
"Take care of yourself, Tara. We'll miss you so much," Abir whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
Tara hugged him tightly and Kunal cling close to the trio.
"Bhai please do take care of Naanu, his blood pressure is not good these days and don't allow him to eat cream rolls. Also, take care of yourself too" said Tara wiping her tears.
Tara clung to them, her heart heavy with the weight of leaving her loved ones. But she knew that this was a new chapter in her life, one that she couldn't pass up.
With a final hug and a promise to stay in touch, Tara walked through the airport gates, her heart brimming with gratitude for the love and support of her family. As she boarded the plane, she carried with her the memories of their shopping trip, the love woven into each dress, and the tears shed at the airport, knowing that no matter the distance, their bond would never break.
