DRIFTING APART
I am sorry but I dont think we can do it anymore.
He said casually while sipping his black coffee and oogling at the girl at next table.
She looked at him with shock and hurt and then with difficulty said-
But you loved me Arnav, We were in relationship for last 3 years.
He was annoyed with her all time sentimental talks, she had always been like this, way too moralistic and way too annoying with her emotions.
He flared his nose seeing her tears dreading to fall and then controlling the bitterness said-
I dont feel anything for you Khushi.
In fact I have no interest in being any kind of relations.
I enjoy being single.
I don't have an idea how I carried this long with you but not any more. I am way more fed up and I need my freedom back.
Ugh! This is what he hates the most. The break-up part, Khushi was his 6th and mind you, the longest run girlfriend.
She was a nerdy but damn hot and sexy which attracted Arnav towards him.
Stalking, teases and winking led her, a simple girl to fall for not very but a complicated boy.
And the relationship started. It started irking Arnav when she always insulted his advances.
Nothing more than kisses before marriage.
Like really, marriage?
That too with nerdy, geeky Khushi.
Please, he definitely has better choices.
So, here just before the college ends, he announced his decision but as always, her emotions.
Ugh Dammit!
And that's when he saw tears spilling her eyes.
Taking deep breaths calming his annoying nerves, he held her hands and said calmly-
If ever you loved me, You will understand me.
He knew he had hit the bull's eye.
She looked at him and then wiping her tears with a smile, she said-
Fine Arnav.
We end it here.
Ahh!
Its so relaxing.
He smiled at her but frowned when she started to leave, without eating her all time favourite grilled sandwich.
But not his concern anymore but then he felt bad for the girl, he dated for three years.
She was leaving when he ran behind her and said-
Wait Khushi.
It was nice having you in my life.
We will be friends, Right?
She gave a different smile, a strong-willed person's smile and said-
Right
I shall leave. Have a good life Arnav.
She left before Arnav's
You too
Unknowingly hurting his manly king size ego.
He fumed nevertheless smiled seeing her turning back to him once before leaving and then led himself towards his new interest. The girl next to his table.
It would be fun after so long.
Ahh! Freedom from an over-emotional, much-in-love Khushi Kumari Gupta, the nerdy.
