Manik reached his office and there was
already a planned hectic schedules with lots
of meetings,signaturing the files and all. But
Manik has to meet Janvi aunty today
compulsory. So he ordered his P.A to cancel
few meetings.It was 5 of evening,Manik was
still too much busy in his work when
suddenly his office phone buzzed. He made
an irritated face and picked the call.
"Now what..??" He yelled on his receptionist.
"I have told you not to deliver any call..!!"
"Ma..!! Manik..!! It's me..!!" He heard
Nandini's fearful voice. "I am so sorry..!! I
disturbed you..!!" She said and Manik felt
that she was crying. He slapped himself for
yelling like this he heard her sobs and he
became restless.
"Nandini..!! Hy shhh honey..!! I am sorry..!!
That wasn't for you..!!" Manik said
worriedly.At that moment he just wanted to
took her in his embrace wanted to clean her
tears from her cheeks. In spite of Manik's
consoling words she was still crying and
Manik was like going crazy. "Nandu..!!" He
said lovingly and suddenly he heard her stop
crying. For the first time he had called her
Nandu.
"Calm down..!! Don't cry for me please? Be
my good Nandu..!!" Manik again tried to
calm her down.

It was 5 of the evening and Nandini was
waiting for Manik's call. But he didn't called
her so she decided to call him she took his
number from Nayonika but it was switched
off then she took his office number from the
diary and called. Receptionists told her that
she wasn't allowed to deliver any call but
Nandini told her that she will talk to him.
But the way he yelled make Nandini afraid
and she instantly started crying. But when
Manik call her Nandu she felt so good that
she forget about crying.
"Nandu..??" Manik said again with too much
sweetness that she felt herself melting. "Talk
to me please?"
"Man..Manik..!!" She started hesitantly.
"Haan bolo..!!" Manik encouraged her.
"I am sorry..!!" She again became sad. "I
shouldn't have called you..!!"
"Ohhooo Nandini..!! I said na that wasn't for
you..!! Look honey..!! For you I am your
sweet husband Manik..!! Just Manik..!! But
In office I am "THE MANIK MALHOTRA" I
have to do all this..! You know otherwise all
workers take me for granted..!!" Manik
explained lovingly. He heard Nandini's
giggle on the other side he released the
breath which he was holding unknowingly.
"Hahaha So that means you are "MONSTER
MANIK" for your workers..!!" Nandini said
cheerfully and again started laughing Manik
joined her this time.
"Acha why did you call ?" Manik asked
casually.
"Woo..!! In morning you took my number
na..!! So I thought you will call me but you
didn't then I thought I should call you. I
tried you cell number but it was switched off
then I called at office number and please
don't say anything to the receptionist...!!"
Nandini explained. Manik felt guilty for not
calling her but the point is she was waiting
for his call. "interesting" Manik thought.
"Acha..!! You were waiting for my
call..??"Manik smirked and he was sure that
Nandini must be blushing.
"Manik...!! Have you had your lunch..??"
Nandini changed the topic and Manik smiled
at her innocence.
"Yes Mam kar liya h lunch myny..!!" Manik
smiled on her concern.
"When will you come home?" Nandini again
questioned him.
"I'll be little late Nandini I have lots to do..! I
am sorry..!!" Manik said sadly as he had to
meet Janvi aunty.
"Ohhh come on Manik..!! It's ok..!!" Nandini
said cheerfully. "Ok now you do your
work..!! Bye..!!"
"Ok bye..!!" Manik also greeted her and hung
up.

In Malhotra Mansion.
"Nandini..!!" Nayonika called Nandini's name
when she hung up the call with Manik.
"G Ma..!!" Nandini said respectfully.
"I am sorry beta I have to go to a dinner
party I'll be a little late. You will be ok na?"
Nayonika asked her lovingly.
"Of course Mama..!! I'll be ok..!!" Nandini
said assuringly.
"Sure..!!" Nayonika asked with a concern to
which Nandini nodded. Nayonika left to get
ready for the party. It was 7 when Nayonika
told Nandini that she was going and she left.
Nandini turned on the T.V to pass her time.
When the Butler came.
"Mam..!!" He said respectfully.
"G Suresh Kaka..!!" Nandini said switching of
the T.V.
"Wo..!! My mother is very ill..!! I have to go
back to village...!! Please can I go..?" He said
pleadingly.
"Kaka why are you saying please..?? Ap
jao..!!" Nandini said sweetly and the Butler
left. Now Nandini was all alone in house.
Weather was also not good. It was little
drizzling. Nandini always hated rains. Not
only hate she was afraid of the rains
because she had the worst memories with
the rains. She closed all the doors of the
Mansion and sat on the sofa she turned the
volume of T.V too much high just to
overcome her fears.

Manik look at his wrist watch it was 7.
"Oh freak..!! I have to go and meet Janvi
aunty..!!" Manik muttered and closed all the
files in front of him. He picked up his cell
phone,without switching it on,he stuffed it
in his pocket and rushed towards his car.The
weather was very stormy. He reached Janvi's
clinic. Receptionist saw him and gave him a
wide smile as if recognizing him soon he
entered Janvi's cabin.
"Hy beautiful..!!" Manik greeted her lovingly
and gave her a hug to which she
warmly hugged him back.
"Hy handsome..!! What's up..?" Janvi
inquired politely. "Waise I am very angry at
you...!!" She said angrily.
"Angry? But why..??" Manik asked
naughtily.
"You are asking me why? Huhhh
Tum ny shadi kar li chup chap..!! You
deceived me Manik..!! Tmy aik bari bhi mera
khyal ni aya..!!" She said naughtily. Manik
laughed out loud. Janvi was a widow and
she was exceptionally beautiful when Manik
was a kid he always wanted to marry her,
now when he became a mature man Janvi
still made fun of him over his stupidity.
"Ohhh Aunty you know my wife is very
beautiful..!!" Manik exclaimed and Janvi
showed him eyes "Haan haan not more than
you..!!" He again laughed and Janvi joined
him.
"Ok on a serious note what are you doing
here? Are you ok?" Janvi asked with a
concern.

"Yeah I am ok..!! I am here to discuss
something important about Nandini,my
wife..!!" Manik became serious.
"Nandini? What happened to her..!!" Janvi
became worried.
"I'll tell you but promise me you will not tell
Mama about our this meeting OK?" Manik
said.
"Yeah of course it will be our secret..!!" Janvi
assured him. Then Manik explained
everything to Janvi from Nandini's less
confidence to previous night's incidents.
Janvi carefully heard Manik's story.
"So I want to help her..!! I want her to
get back to normal..!!" Manik ended sadly.
"Hmmm..!! Manik..!! Usually parents come to
me and discuss things like this but you have
come here for your wife how sweet..!!" Janvi
said naughtily.
"Aunty..!! I am serious..!! Please tell me what
should I do? I want to take those fears out of
her heart and mind..!!" Manik said
seriously.Seeing him too much concerned
Janvi immediately become serious.
"Ok Manik..!! In order to soothe the lingering
terror and banish the demons of the night,
you must learn the Four R's that spell
nightmare relief from your innocent wife..!!"
Janvi started.
"Meaning?" Manik asked confusingly. Janvi
got up from her seat and wrote four R spell
on the whiteboard.
"They are:
REASSURANCE,
RESCRIPTING,
REHEARSAL,
RESOLUTION "
Janvi explained. "Reassurance is the first and
most important step Manik..!! You have to
make sure that Nandini should trust you that
much that she discuss with you about her
nightmares. You have to assure her that
you are with her and will be always there
for her.You have to figure out the
possibilities and sources of those
nightmares..!!" Saying all this she turned to
Manik as if asking he understood something
or not and Manik nodded to her.
"Second step rescripting ..!! After knowing
about Nandini's dream you have to help her
to mold her bad dream ending in to a good
one..!! Are you getting my point?" Janvi
demanded.
"Yeah of course..!! But all this won't be easy
na? I mean she has having those bad dreams
from years..!! How can I mold the bad
ending into a good one?" Manik asked
worriedly.
"Yeah it is very difficult..!! Now you have to
figure it out how to do all this after knowing
about her bad dreams..!!" Janvi declared.
"And the last two steps Rehearsal and
resolution ..! Rehearsal involves repeating the
dream and its solutions in various forms
until a sense of mastery or accomplishment
has been achieved..!! This just like a
psychotherapy..!!" Manik was like nodding all
the time remembering each and every point
in his mind.
"The last resolution includes discovering the
source of the nightmare in Nandini's life and
working towards acknowledging and even
correcting the life problem that has caused
the nightmares are preliminary steps. But
Manik you will reach to this step only when
you will cross the first three steps and the
most important reassurance..!! Got it?" Janvi
ended up with smile.
"Hmmm most of them..!!" Manik said lost in
his thoughts.
"Ok now if you are clear then get up and go
home..!! See it's 8:30 Nandini must be
waiting for you..!!" Janvi said patting his
head. Manik gave her a hug and left from
there.

The thunder storm was getting on Nandini's
nerves. Moreover she was alone at home she
was too much afraid. She tried to call Manik
but in vain his cell was still switched off.
Nandini called on his office number but no
response.
"Aiyappa..!! Where is he..??" Nandini
murmured tears welled up in her eyes.
Suddenly the lights went off. She shrieked
on that sudden change.
"Manik..!!" She screamed in anxiety but he
was nowhere. "Manik...!! Where are you..!!"
She again screamed on top of her voice what
if something happened to him too,she was
shivering with fear and horror. Curtain were
fluttering due to fast wind meanwhile she
didn't know how her cell phone fell of her
hands and it shattered into pieces. She
backed off slowly her nightmares again
started overcoming her.
"Nandu Mama loves you honey..!! Papa
loves you...!! Take care..!! We have to
go..!!"
Her mother's words echoed in her mind. She
placed her hands on her ears.
"No...!! Manik..!! Manik..!!" She again
screamed.She was craving to be in his arms
but he wasn't there.

Manik was on his way back to home when
he switched on his cell and dialed Nandini'd
number just to inform her that he'll be there
soon. But Nandini's number was powered
off.
"What the hell..?? Powered off...!! I hope she
Is ok..!!" An unknown fear crept in his heart.
He doubled the speed of his car to reach
home fast although the rain was very heavy
but Manik was driving like crazy man. He
covered his half hour journey with less than
15 minutes. He immediately parked his car
and noticed that the lights were off.
"Bloody hell..!!" Manik said in frustration
and within seconds he reached the main
door,but it was locked. Suddenly he heard
Nandini's screams. "No..!! Manik..!!
Manik..!!" That's all she was shouting
continuously.
"Nandini..!!" Manik shouted banging the
door. "Open the door...!!" But it seems like
she wasn't listening to anything. "What
should I do..??" Suddenly he remembered
that he had an extra key of the main door.
He quickly take out his wallet and get the
key,due to heavy rain he was all drenched.
He opened the main door and searched for
Nandini.
"Nandini..!! Where are you..??" Manik
shouted.It was very dark but In one corner
he saw a trembling figure none other than
Nandini his Nandini. He run towards her
she was shivering and continuously
murmuring and hiccuping his name. When
she noticed someone coming towards her she
again started screaming.
"Go away..!! Stay away from me..!!" Nandini
shouted. Manik kneeled in front of her.
"Nandini..!! It's me honey..!!" Manik
said slowly. And suddenly the power came.
Due to tears Nandini's vision was blurred.
"Man..!! Manik..?? My Manik..!!" She asked
sobbing still afraid of the person sitting in
front of her.
"Yes..!! Yours Manik..!!" Manik slowly
extended his hand towards Nandini and she
with a thud collapse in his chest. Manik pull
her in his tight embrace. Nandini held his
shirts collar tightly and cried out loud. She
was continuously taking his name and
Manik was just rubbing back to console her.
"Nandini bus..!! Shhh..!! Me aa gya na..!!
You'll be ok..!! Stop crying..! No need to
afraid I am here with you..!!" Manik tried to
calm her down.
"Manik..!! I..I thought I...!! I lost you..!!
Ohhh Manik..!!" Nandini held his collars
more tightly.
"Nandini I m ok..!! See I am fine..!!
Kuch ni hua mjy..!!" Manik consoled her.
Nandini broke the hug and started her
inspection session she checked his face arms
and hands to get any signs of injury after
getting satisfied tears again brimmed in her
eyes and she again hugged him this time
more intensely.Manik hugged her
back.Manik picked her up in his arms and
walked towards their bedroom. Nandini
snuggled in his protective embrace.
