Manik was carrying Nandini back to the room who was burning with fever and coughing continuously when Nyonika who was going to drink water looked at her.

“Manik! Kya hua Nandini ko? Why is she coughing so much?”, she asked worriedly.

Controlling his temper on Nandini he said, “Mom! Aap kadha bana dogey? Iss ladki ko har din koi na koi shaitani sujhti hai! Subah sey 2 baar mainey ice-cream khila diya tha fir bhi avi itni raat ko thandey floor par baith kar 3 tub ice-cream kha li isney! Aur ab she is coughing aur fever bhi ho rha hai!”

Nyonika smiled and said caressing her toes as sitting in the wheelchair, “She’s changing!”

Manik sighed and nodded smiling.

“Tu jaa room par main bana kar kisi sey bhejwa dungi!”

Manik went to the room and laid her down. He brought cold water and cloth for her fever.

Covering her with duvet he said, "Nanhi! You very well know I won't let you go if you fall sick! You want that.?"

Sneezing she made her cute smiling face as if she has achieved something.

"Chalo close your eyes and sleep! We'll discuss about it later!"

Adjusting her head on his lap he sat and put the cloth on her forehead.

After an hour Nandini had her kadha but still coughing badly because of which she couldn't sleep though it was 4 a.m.

Manik kept changing her cloth on her forehead for fever and rubbing her chest.

"Monsssttuuu! Dard ho rha hai!", she cried as it was now starting to hurt her throat.

"I know baby! Try to sleep!", He said as he kissed her palms.

"Dard ho rha hai!"

"Acha! Bahar fresh air mey chalte h baby! You'll feel better!", He wrapped her in the blanket and carried her out.

Taking her in lap he sat on the swing and started telling stories finally after an hour she slept.

He took her inside and laid down taking her in his lap.

Manik p.o.v

Last night was a tough night for my baby. I loved when she was having ice creams and chocolates tomorrow infact because of the mishaps I let her have the ice cream twice but this brat kid has to eat again and outcomes were amazing. Last night she was burning with fever, God's grace that mom met and made khada for her that now she is not having fever at least. I woke up and looked at her who was sleeping peacefully with a little snore because of her cough. I thought to not to disturb her because she slept at 5 and if she'll sleep then it'll be good for her but couldn't control myself to shower her with kisses because her cute baby face is enough for me to melt. For the first time she made face and turned her back to me.

Laughing I stood and left her to sleep expecting she'll wake up as soon as she'll not find my presence around her. But it seems my baby is seriously too worked up last night because she didn't woke up though a frown appeared on her forehead. Kissing her forehead I cleared it and whispered so that she can sleep peacefully, "Baby! I'm going for a meeting! Sleep peacefully! I'll be back in an hour!", In response she rubbed her on my neck snuggling more. I sighed because I know she wants me to stay with her but the meetings are really important.

Laying her back I showered her with her favorite butterfly kisses and tucked her properly. I got ready and left pecking her lips.

At breakfast table, all were waiting for us. Finding me alone, Cabir shireked like a school girl making me roll my eyes, "OMG! With capital letters! Manik without his baby! How's that possible?"

I gave him a look to shut him when mom asked, "How's Nandini, Manik.?"

"Fever nhi hai mom subah nind ayi usey isliye I let her sleep! Please keep an eye on her! Utt jaye toh khila dijyega ussey!"

"Tu usey bimar chor kr office jaa rha?", Mukti asked.

"Meeting hai!"

"But buddy you told that you will come late in the office!"

"Haa! Nandini k principal k saath meeting hai regarding her trip!"

After that everyone had their breakfast with little conversation. I couldn't take a bite because my baby is hungry and without feeding her with my hands my breakfast is incomplete so after everyone finished I left for her college. But I didn't miss Cabir words when I left, "Wo upar so rhi hai toh isney breakfast nhi kiya trip par jayegi toh kya karega.?"

I am worried about her more than me. She has a habit of me how will she sleep, eat, take care of her and that's also a reason for sending her to this trip.

In the meeting with her principal I clearly told about the bodyguards going with them as the helpers and he didn't have any option but to agree. I was about to leave her campus when a voice stopped me.

"Aap Nandini ki family sey ho na?"

I turned in confusion thinking who's this person who don't know about me and also don't know about my relation with Nanhi. I have always kept her away from media but everyone knows her face also SPACE's every student know about us. Turning around I found a boy around my baby's age looking innocently at him as he pushed his specs on his nose.

"Yes! How can I help you?"

He smiled innocently and asked, "Nandini college kyu nhi aayi aaj? Aaj trip k barey mey discuss hua tha! Vo trip par jaa rhi h na? Aap uskey kon ho?"

I laughed on his last question and thought to keep him in shadow because I don't find any harm in him for my baby.

"I'm her parent!"

"Parent? But you look so young!"

"You're her friend?", I changed the topic.

"Not now! Mainey 1 week pehly join kiya hai! My parents moved here last month! She helped me with notes! Actually sir, I like your daughter!", He said shyly.

Other time I would have punched the guy and threatened to his death to stay away from my game but as I said I didn't find any harm.

I ruffled the hair of the kid and said, "Try on her! Maybe she'll be your friend!"

Chuckling I left the campus.

After attending back to back meetings I will finally go home. I have called mom to know about Nanhi and she told me that she is not showing any tantrum for medicine or anything infact she's being an obedient girl. Of course because she wants to go to the trip.

As I entered the mansion I heard her cheerful shout, "Monstu is back!"

She came running to me from the kitchen and I picked her in my arms. It was long day and she was in arms after 8 hours. Without a word she straddled me and wrapped herself in my arms.

Holding her from one hand I cupped her cheek from the other and checked her temperature.

"Arey! Mera bacha toh bilkul sahi ho gya! Fever b nhi! And your not coughing also!"

She nodded with a giggle and said, "Main thik ho gyi! Ab main trip par jaa skti hun na?"

"Hmmm! Let me think!", I acted and she pouted and cribbed hugging my neck, "Monnnsttuuu! You promised me!"

"Did I?", I teased her more and carried her to our room.

She came down from my arms and circled the whole room crying monstu please.

I laughed and went to change my clothes leaving her like that.

When I came out she was having grumpy face which made me laugh. I went to her and sat beside her on the floor as she was sitting in a squat pose in front of her sleeping innocent pets whom she was poking.

"Kya hua? Why so grumpy pumpy? Aaj subah sey I was not with you and you still don't want to cuddle!"

She looked me with a puppy face. I pulled her nose to which she sneezed.

"Why do you sneeze whenever anyone touches your nose?", i asked and picked her in my arms carrying her to bed.

"Because my nose is sensitive!"

"Naah! Your nose is too small isliye baby!", I teased her and she said, "No!"

I laid down with her and said, "Yes! Tum bhi choti si tmhra nose bhi chota hai! Dimaag bhi chota sa!"

"Nooooo!"

I laughed as she sat straddling me.

"Yesss!", I mimicked her and carried her on my legs holding her in air. She laughed and her giggles filled my heart.

Tomorrow she'll be on her trip so I'm feeling to keep her close to me as much as possible.

Till dinner I played with her while she did everything to paster me for the trip.

When I was about to go down for the dinner she sat on the floor holding my leg surprising me.

"Monstu please! Please na! Let me go!"

I laughed and pulled her up and tried to pull her for dinner, "We'll discuss that after dinner! Avi let's go!"

"Please!", She again nagged but one look and she followed without any tantrum.

At dinner, everyone was having dinner silently and Nandini was also eating with my hands without any tantrum when suddenly Cabir teased her, "Trip par janey k liye good girl ban gyi hai tu toh Nandini!"

She looked at me and points towards him.

"Cabir! Nandini nhi jaa rhi!", I teased her and winked at Cabir.

"Ohhh! So sad! Mainey suna Australia ley jaa rhey hai! Haa sahi hai! Itni dur kaisey rhegi tu! Right decision bro!"

"But Manik tu gya toh tha aaj milney Nandini k principal sey!", Mom said ruining my plan to surprise her.

"Mana krney gya hoga aunty!",. Dhruv saved me and smiled sadly at Nandini.

Getting enough of the teasing session Nanhi looked at me with teary eyes and pushed my hands away.

"Pet bhar gya!", I didn't force her because she needs to have light dinner because of her fever.

I continued my dinner meanwhile pushing the juice towards her which she had it without tantrum.

After dinner everyone sat in the living room, I chuckled when she suddenly asked dad, "Papa!!"

Nandini and calling dad with so much emotions means she wants him to pamper her and scold me. Suppressing my laugh I looked at her as she continued standing in a corner of hall with the shinny teary eyes.

"Papa!! Main apkey pass baith jau?"

This baby monster clearly knows if someone can rule over me is then it's dad so when I didn't allow her she chose the other way. Smartass!!

Dad looked at her and said, "Aa na gudiya! Puch kyu rhi!! Tu toh meri princess h! You don't need to request just order!!"

She smiled and made her way to sit beside him giving me a cunning look to which I raised my eyebrows.

She settled beside him and laid her head on his chest. Both father and daughter continued their conversation silently while I also got involved with fab5.

We were talking when suddenly dad stood and said, "Ok guys! I have to inform you all something!"

I rolled my eyes as Nandini stood on the sofa behind him.

"Nandini! My daughter is going on her trip tomorrow! I'm allowing her! Koi chaye manney yaa na manney!"

Nandini smirked at me but her smirked flushed in a second when I give a look.

"Dad! Formalities ho chuki hai! Tickets ho chukey h! So it's impossible!", I continued to tease Nandini

"Seriously Manik! You think I care? I'm the trustee! Remember?"

"Dad but--"

Before I can continue Nandini took the glass from the table and threw it shouting, "I don't care! Mujhey jana hai! Kyun nhi janey dey rhe ho! It's my first and last time!", She was crying because of anger. All looked at her in shock including me.

"Baby!!", I tried to say something but she came to me and stood on the sofa to look taller than me though she was reaching till my head only and shouted, "Don't baby me! I won't listen to you in this! You're not behaving like my monstu anymore! You don't love me anymore!  Why? You know na bachpan sey I was not allowed to go on trips! You know na monstu? Fir kyu? Why ain't you allowing me?"

Third pov

She ended up crying like a baby standing in front of him with her head down. Manik's heart broke looking at her and dumping all his teasing session he took hold of her waist which she jerked. He regretted every second to make her baby cry even if it was for fun and again hold her from waist. This time she didn't jerk and melted in his arms. He curled her into his body and said kissing her tears, "You're going baby! Everyone was teasing you! Sari arrangements ho gyi! I'm sorry mera baby! I'm so sorry!"

She looked at him sniffing, "Sachi monstu?"

"Haa jaan! Aisa kabhi hua h ki you demand for something aur main mana karu? Fir itney motey motey aanshu kyu meri baby k aankhon mey?"

She looked at him and said crying pointing to everyone, "But you said! Sabney b bola!"

Cabir laughed and said, "Hum sab mazak kar rhe the Nandu!  Teri trip toh kab ki planned h!"

She looked at everyone and then him to which he hugged her tightly and picked her in his arms surprising her. She giggled as he tilted her a little.

All smiled looking her giggling. At last Manik took her to their room to pack her things.
