Interview with @taes_smirk 

Trex : 1. They say 'Even if every reader isn't a writer, every writer is surely reader'. That perhaps is true with you too, then who is your favorite writer? And what book of them is your favorite?

Ash : Okayy! So on Wattpad, my favorite writers are MyKnightV, and author of Dr. Jagiya, author of V for Vampire, author of Misfits (I'm sorry I don't remember the usernames)

If we see publish author, then they are Ana Huang, Rina Kent, RuNyx, H.D Carlton, Ali Hazelwood and Lauren Asher

Trex : I have read all the books you said from wattpad and Dr. Jagiya is my favorite. You have read most books on wattpad

2. What was the first book on wattpad you read and what were your thoughts about the book?

Ash : I remember it distinctly since it was a life changing moment for me. If it wasn't that fanfiction, I wouldn't have urge to read more and more BTS fanfic and I wouldn't be into this deep heaven. Well, it was 'Arrange Marriage with my Bully" ? Something like this wherw Jungkook was Y/N's bully and they got married and blah blah blah. We know the story, we all have read stories like this in Wattpad. At that time I was young and I loved that book 😭 I went ahead and read multiple books with same plots

Trex : Oh my God, did I catch a guilty pleasure! This had been every fanfic reader's first plot. And they always have Tae or Jk for some reason, they're natural bully's I guess 😂

3.  For a  writer, their books are equivalent to their children. What is which one is your first born and what inspired you to write that?

Ash : Okayy! So my 1st born was Maid For Gang, a Taehyung mafia fanfiction. I was inspired by a Jimin mafia fanfic where he gets Y/N in return to forgive her father debt, and then proceed to make her his wife. I just wanted to write my own version of that book, and that time Taehyung was my bias so I wrote a book were Taehyung gets Eunhyee (OC) in return of forgiving the debt of her manager. (who wrongfully sold her to mafia) The plot twist is Taehyung and Eunhyee... well let's say they share past.

Trex : That's hooking, can't wait to read it when you republish it! 

4. Other than writing and reading, what other hobbies do you raise?

Ash : Well, sleeping and procrastinating if that counts. If it doesn't then, let's say graphics though I don't do it much like I used to do since I'm soooo busy with academics.

Trex : Yeah, that counts. That's every unbothering person's hobby. How can that not count?! 

5. If you were given a chance to live the life of on of your main characters, who would that be and why?

Ash : Definitely Sam Sunhee. Yejin has went through a lot of trauma thanks to me, and Eunhyee had fair share of hardship too. Raemi went a lot I cabt say what exactly but she did and honestly, she is so strong. However Sam Sunhee, though her trauma is no less I would be her because she is literally me with different font. + She is sexy, has nice model figure (duh she is a model), amazing friends, met her idols, works/gonna work with her idols, sexy boyfriend,  rich boyfriend, had sex with Seokjin, Seokjin— The Kim Seokjin is torso deep in her love what else she need. + In future there are lots of good things gonna come, so why the fuck not

Trex : Well, someone is definitely imagining things tonight! 🫣

6. If you were given a chance to live a life in someone else's book, what would that book be and why?

Ash : TW: mention of sexual assault

So far, every female character I ever read went through a really hard time. Childhood trauma, assualt, sexual assault and god knows so much. I wouldn't actually want to live life of any character I ever read. Not Y/N (we all know what she goes through) or never Adeline, Sawyer, Aurora or Lilith.

Moral of the story: I need to read more romcom, and not dark romance.

Trex : That would change the whole point 

7. With Prank Call and Rejection crossing 150 k, you're quite the hype. When you started on wattpad, did you have any ideas that you'd get this popular?

Ash : That's a really nice question! Well I started Wattpad in 2019. I used to go by Dusk, and had Dusk00 as my username. I used to write young adult fiction book name 'My Lovely Bites'. It was a story about a human and a newly turned Vampire. However, I found that there is something like BTS fanfic on Wattpad and from then, I started to found fanfiction more interesting. Thus, I closed that account and opened a new account taes_smirk in 2020. And when I drafted Maid For Gang or Rejection, I never had any idea I will read this many milestones. Sure, like all writers I also wanted to be popular and wanted millions views on my book, but I realized getting 1 view in my book was really equivalent to getting a million views. Getting 150k is like a dream, I actually never thought it will actually happened. Dreamt, sure. Actually happening? Never.

Trex : Wow, now I want to read your old books too

8. Who is the least favorite character you wrote and why do you hate them?

Ash : I love all of my characters, but at this maturity, at this point, Park Jimin from Rejection. I honestly didn't want to write him like this, it was, as if he wrote his own character. I meant him to be a introvert, perhaps a stalker?, but he came off too mean, he had too much revenge and want for vengeance for him. He was so hurt that he wrote his own character. I wish I could have written a mature Jimin, but again, he was just 18, and what do you expect from an immature 18 year old.

I wanted to portray the male ego, how they react when they face rejection and how much far they can go to satisfy their ego. Though Jimin was hurt, and Yejin did body shame him and all. He really came out different from what I wanted to write. He is one of the most hated character, you know well. Sometimes I wish I could have written him differently.

Trex : It was the first book I read of you, honestly he was actually the human form of male ego. 

9. You read more than a million books, not all can have a special place in you heart. What is your least favorite book?

Ash : Well, sorry Rina Kent, but Deviant King, Steel Princess and Twisted Kingdom. 

Many people like Aiden King on internet but not me. These books/series are my least favorite book of the year, or I've ever read. I hate Aiden, and I equally hate Elsa

Ash : Hehe, well.

Many people don't know but Sam Sunhee is very much inspired by me. Yes. It's mee bitches. She is the most loved character I've ever written. Hehe, you'll technically loving me 💅🏻

Trex : She's one of the most relatable yet unhinged characters you wrote
