But Why, Jesse?
Winnie's P.O.V.
"Well, it's just water, I'm sure. If you can drink it, then so can I!" I said confidently.
"No. It's not good for you. Look, Winnie, you just---can't," Jesse said with a sigh and a frown.
"But why, Jesse? Why is it so bad?" I asked, disappointed.
"It's dirty and i-it's just not h-healthy for you," he frowned.
Then some lady and another boy arrived. Lord, would you please tell me what is going on?
"Jesse," the woman turned her head, "Who is uh, who might this be?" she sounded... kind of annoyed.
"Why, Ma, this girlie here is Miss Winnie Foster," he, once again, flashed his pretty smile.
They all exchanged glances and pulled me up onto their horse.
"H-," I muttered.
"Don't let her escape," the woman said.
"Got it, Ma," the other boy winked.
"H-," I tried to speak a little louder this time.
"Ma, we have to tell her. It's too late not to," Jesse McPrettyBoy Tuck said.
"HEY!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, "WHERE IN THE WORLD DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TAKING ME?! LET. ME. GO!" I screamed even louder.
W-why me? What did I do?
"B-but w-why, J-Jesse?" I said, stuttering under my breath in fear, and crying.
