Chapter 2: Fluent French
"Actually mon ami, I was wondering if you would like to join us for dinner?"
Lafayette waited silently for a response as he heard John talk to someone, most likely Alex, in the background.
"Is it ok if we bring Philip?" John asked.
" Of course mon ami. He can hang out with Cami."
"Sounds wonderful, what time should we be there?"
" How about 5 o'clock?"
"Perfect, see you then. Bye~"
"Au revior."
With that the line went dead, and the silence filled the room again. Lafayette felt better though, and now he had something to keep his mind off his lonely heart.

Lafayette was putting his chicken in the oven, when he heard the front door open and close with a quiet click. He stood up and peered across the room too the entryway. Where Cami stood, suddenly very interested in the wooden floor.
Laf rushed to kneel in front of her, and she gave him a tight hug almost immediately. Her tears leaving damp spots on Laf's shirt. The confused french man held her close, as he waited for a response.
" P-papa."
"Yes, mon cheri." Laf's heart aching at the broken tone of his daughters voice as she choked back quiet sobs.
"T-the kids at school l-laughed at me. T-they said having two daddy's is weird."
" I'm so sorry mon cheri I-" Cami cut him off.
"That's not why im sad. Im sad because I got in trouble for politely telling them to 'Va te fair foutre'." Cami explained.
Lafayette gasped in disbelief. His own daughter, in her first few weeks of school, had used fluent french to tell another six year old to go fuck themselves. No wonder she was upset, she definitely got in trouble for that.
"Camille Rose Mulligan-Lafayette. You know better than to say something like that." Lafayette stared at his daughter in disappointment. Cami stared down at her shoes.
" I'm sorry papa." She said quietly.
"I forgive you, but please, never used that language again. Okay?"
"Okie." Cami said.
" Now go upstairs and clean up your room. Uncle John and uncle Alex are coming over for dinner." Laf said, watching as Cami's eyes lit up, suddenly disremember her previous mopey demeanor.
" Is Pip coming too?" She asked excitedly.
"Of course." Lafayette smiled.
"Yay!" Cami shouted, as she ran up the stairs.

Precious lil' Cami, cussing up a storm. I would also like to say their were a million translations for the phrase I used, I merely used the one I deemed more exciting. Fun Fact: this chapter was finished at 1:34 a.m. on 12/27/15. No joke. Also, almost forgot to post it..... ooops.
Sincerely,
Welp
