Manan were just lost in their love land where there is only them and no one else. It was evening by the time the hot air balloon ride ended. They walked back to beach house, hand in hand, without any worry of being caught as the area was not much populated and mostly it had holiday homes of people which are rarely visited. As soon as they reached the beach house, Manik stopped her by holding her wrist.

M: Close your eyes shona!

N: *confused* Par kyu? And how will I walk in with my eyes close?

Without saying anything Manik just lifted her in his arms making her squeal and close her eyes.

N: *panicked* Manik yeh kya kar rahe ho aap? Mai gir jaungi, Put me down!

M: *smiling* Shh.... kuch nahi hoga, I wont let you fall! Just trust me and close your eyes because I have a surprise for you!

N: *relaxed* But Manik, your hand will pain!

M: *laughing* Seriously, you know tumse jyada weight mai gym mai utha leta hu, vaise bhi tum ho toh ittu si and saying my hands will pain! Huh, now shhh.. and close your eyes!

She pouted but then smiled and encircling her hand around his neck, she closed her eyes. He started walking with her in his arms as if she weighed nothing. Soon reaching the spot, he put her down and asked her to open her eyes slowly.

N: *blinking her eyes* Manik....

M: *pointing somewhere* Hmm look there....

N: *shocked* Yeh.... omg Manik you are the best! Hayee meri pani puri! 😍

Yes it was a small pani puri stall with two different flavours of water, sweet and spicy!

M: *back hugging* So kaise laga surprise?

N: *turning around and hugging him* I loved it hubby, thank you so much! *she pecked his cheek hard making him blush a bit and she went aww on him* But aapne toh pani puri khane se mana kiya tha na toh phir yeh...

M: *tucking her hairstrands behind her ears* You wished for this then how can I not fulfill it especially today? And I said no for eating there because it was unhygenic but here it is made from mineral water and plates are clean too! Ab chalo, let me make it for you!

N: *covering her mouth* Haww... aap banaoge? No, no aise kaise...

He chuckled at her and moving away from her, he removed his blazer and rolled his shirt sleeves. He then walked behind the counter and asked her which one she wants.

M: *rubbing his hands* So madam, which one, sweet or spicy?

N: Manik rehne dijiye na....

M: Aree you want a third person on our date to do this, hmm? Nahi na, toh phir bolo which one?

N: *excited* Manik spicy!

M: *handing her the plate and smirking* Haww you call pani puri wala by name?

She pouted and he put first pani puri on her plate. She moaned as she ate it making him smile.

N: Wow... this is so yummy Ma...oops no name!

Next one he put on her plate, she forwarded it to him. He denied but she pushed it in his mouth making him glare and she grinned totally unaffected! They were busy in relishing their pani puri where Manik made few sweet ones too when Nandini said something making him horrified.

N: *mischievously* Bhaiya, thoda theeka banana!

M: *horrified* NANDINI... how can you call me bhaiya?

N: *smirking* Aap hi ne toh kaha dont call me by name so pani puri wale ko mein bhaiya hi bulati hu!

M: *joining hands* Galti hogayi biwi! Naam se hi bulao tum!

And that is it, she burst into laughter and he made a bad face! Soon their pani puri adventure ended with both of them fighting, giggling, laughing and feeding each other! Now they were sitting on the private beach attached to the beach house, enjoying the sunset without talking. Sometimes silence is all what is needed. This silence between them had an unknown peace and both of them were being soaked in this magic of sitting in each others arms and enjoying the nature around them. Nandini was sitting between his legs with her head rested on his shoulder and her back attached to his front. He has his one arm around her waist and other entwined with hers with his face on her shoulder.

N: Manik, you know some people compare sunrise and sunset but I think both has its own importance.

M: *tilting his head to see her face* yes, and I also know people who dont like sunsets because they depict ending but I think sunset shows us that endings can be beautiful as well.

N: *smiling* Thats a beautiful point of view Manik and aap yeh bhi toh sakte ho ki to open one new chapter in life, a old one has to be closed just like sun has to set to rise again the next day! *he smiled and pecked her temple making her close her eyes* Manik sing for me na please...

He smiled at her cute request and started singing in his soulful voice making her close her eyes and rest her head back on his shoulder.

He stood up and forwarded his hands to her which she gladly accepted and stood up. Both started walking on the sea shore hand in hand, leaving a trail of footprints on the wet sand.

The lights turned on sensing the darkness around. He pulled her closer, held her waist with one hand and entwined the other with hers. Her hand rested on his well built chest exactly where his heart is. Both started swaying to the song having an intense eyelock.

The eyelock was too intense for her to handle as it was creating all the new sensations in her heart. She immediately lowered her lashes and rested her head on his heart still following his dance steps.

As soon as the song ended, Manik embraced her tight. They stayed in that position for god knows how long when Manik broke the hug and went on his knees. She gasped seeing him and gave him a nervous smile making him chuckle and shake his head in disbelief.

M: *holding her hands* Relax.... I am not going to eat you alive or I am not even proposing you yet as it is too early for that. I just have a confession to make. *she nodded gesturing him to continue* Shona I am a man with few words, I dont express my thoughts enough but today I want to tell you what I feel for you. I want to tell you how crazy you have made me for you! That one minute meeting at the airport has completely turned my life upside down... in a good way though. Before you, I cannot remember a single girl that attracted me but you, your this hazel eyes... they held so much innocence that without even knowing anything about you, I started to think about you. Just the mere thought of you, made me smile. You know Cabir was right when he said I dont make friends other than Fab 5 because even with Abhi and Navya it took time for me to open up. And then came you, *smiling slightly* you know when you said you were surprised when you offered me your friendship, then let me tell you, I was even more surprised by how eagerly I accepted it! We just instantly clicked and as much cheesy as this sounds its...its like my heart knew you were special. When we met at beach in midnight, I knew I cant let you go coz you are one gem of a person who was bearing so much for her family without a single complain and moreover you trusted me.... trusted me enough to let yours secret about Harshad out and I cant tell you how happy I felt. Nandini I am not an ideal guy, when I get angry, its very difficult for me to handle the situation. When you told me about that jerk, I got very angry as I knew how cheap he is but surprisingly I was able to calm myself down because you were with me! I dont know how that happened or why but it did, only happened with you! So Mrs Nandini Manik Malhotra, I just want to say that I like you, I like you very very much! And maybe I have started to fall for you too. I know our relationship is a bit slow but I am enjoying this phase too. I want to give you some time, myself some time and more importantly our relationship some time so, will you be able to give that time to US?

As soon as he finished saying this looking in her eyes, she bend down on her knees with tears in her eyes. She immediately wrapped her arms around his neck and he too held her by her waist, nuzzling in her neck.

N: *still crying a bit* Manik I....I dont know what to say, I mean...

M: *wiping her tears* Shh.. you dont need to, I understand.

N: *nodding in a no* No Manik even if you understand, I know how much words matter when you get to hear them from your dear ones. *held his hands* Manik you said that my thought makes you smile but my smile is toh automatically connected with yours... whenever you laugh or smile na, it gives me immense happiness even if you would laugh at my expanse, it doesnt matter! You know, that day in cafe, I was very nervous to meet Harshad for I never got positive vibes from that guy but when I saw you there, you were a stranger still, it was as if a wave of relief passed through me, I felt safe in your presence but than I brushed off that feeling just by making some silly excuse to myself. Then you told me, you felt protective of me, I was on cloud nine. On the beach that night, you might not remember this but you said 'together we will face this' and I couldnt help but trust you because the intensity and sincerity in your eyes spoke volumes as if engraving your words in my heart. *moving closer* Manik never in my life I have been the girl who would think of how her future guy would be like, how her marriage would be like or how her in laws would be like because I was always engrossed in my career. I wanted to do something to make my Amma appa proud and so I never gave these things a thought. But aapse milne ke baad when we accepted the marriage proposal, I couldnt help my wandering thoughts about marriage, married life, falling in love and all that but being the silly person I am, again made an excuse that I am behaving so because I am sitting idle but I was wrong... I was completely wrong Manik because once when I was discussing a case with my supervisor and team on a conference video call, I had my thought revolving around you again and again! *chuckling* My supervisor even asked me to get a check up done for zoning out so much coz I was always the focused one. But yeah, let me tell you Mr Manik Malhotra that I like you too *winking* more than you do! And yes I am ready to give US a chance to fall for each other and rise in our love.

Manik too had slight tears in his eyes but a wide smile on his lips. He cupped her face and pressed his lips on her forehead, letting it linger there for a while whereas she had her eyes closed with a beautiful smile adorning her face.

N: *getting up* Wait I have something for you!

She went inside the house, grabbed something from her purse and came back. She handed him a black box with pink polka dots on it, wished him Valentine's day and asked him to open it with excitement making him chuckle.

M: *opening the box* Yeh... oh god shona this is so beautiful! *pecking her cheek* I love it! Manan bracelet!

She made him wear it and he too did the same!

M: *frowning* Ab ek haath mai yeh hai toh dusra khali kaise reh sakta hai meri shona ka?

N: *confused* Matlab?

M: *forwarding a golden box* Matlab yeh!

M: This is your Valentine's day gift! This knot in the centre represents our relationship shona, the stronger, the better!

N: I love it and I promise I will never let this knot fall weak.

They again hugged each other when Manik's stomach groaned making both laugh. They went back to beach house, had their dinner sharing a plate which was all her favourite chinese food ofcourse and started their journey back to home as it was quite late. This time it was silent but soothing at the same time. Soon they reached home when Manik turned to her to see her sleeping peacefully leaning on the window. He smiled and adjusting her properly, he went to her side and opened the door. He silently picked her up in his arms and took her to their room. It was almost 1am so everyone was asleep. He lied her on bed and removed her sandals. Changing into his night wear, he slipped next to her and slept with her in his arms.
