"What were you thinking? Did your common sense decide to go on a holiday or what?" Serena says in a cross tone as she rounds up on the Champions. Diantha and the others remain quiet. They are clearly too depressed to utter any syllables in their defense.

"You can't beat him. Which part of that sentence wasn't clear to you? Or would you like to try again?" Serena asks as no one replies.

"I don't think anyone will make that mistake again Sere." Ash says while quietly chuckling to himself.

"That's not funny Ash. They went and blew the whole situation out of proportion and got themselves thoroughly humiliated in front of the Entire Pokemon league board members, not to mention the Contest and Showcase board members as well." Serena says in a pissed off tone as she collapses onto the chair with a thud.

When Serena doesn't hear anyone replying to her she says "Say something. Damn it." in a raised tone.

"I don't know. He insulted us. We lost it and we blew it. Are you happy?" Diantha snaps back.

"No. That's not the point. You saw him blow up that mountain and incinerate it to the point there was nothing left but particulate matter. Yet you didn't think twice before attempting such a foolish stunt which blew up in your face." Serena says in a disappointed tone. She then takes a deep breath to calm and reinforce herself. Once calm she continues.

"Point is you can't beat him. You shouldn't make an enemy which you can't afford to have." Serena says while getting up again.

"He's dangerous. Not to mention you and Ash go and train with that lunatic while disregarding the rules of the institutions to which you belong where you vanish without a trace for months at times. Why are you even loyal to him?" Diantha asks back.

"Our oath of fealty to him can't change. Get that very clear. With what he has done for us he is deserves our unflinching and utterly unshakable loyalty. He's shown us what we and our Pokemon are capable of and he made us give him a promise. We don't break our vow." Serena replies.

"I think Sere. You should let me do the talking. Sit down and have some water." Ash says as he gets up as he puts a hand of Serena's shoulder. Serena sighs before nodding and sits down again.

"Regardless of what you think or say. Get 2 things very clear in your head. First we are going with him. Second our loyalty to him is iron clad. It won't change. Now I know you are very frustrated. Who won't be? Some one comes and destroys everything you know and stand for. Anyone would be angry. But this is the harsh reality that you all need to accept. Dragon Emperor trusts us. Instead of fighting him. You should use him the way he wants to use you." Ash replies.

"You mean deploy him like a loaded gun?" Lance asks.

"Precisely. He is a pain in the ass. Trust me Serena and I have learnt that the hard way. But there are a lot of advantages to having him on your side. Otherwise we wouldn't be so fiercely loyal to him despite the amount of hardship we go through while we're with him. Now it's been a trying day for all of us. Let's call it a day. Get some sleep. Take a shower. Eat some food. We'll let calmer heads prevail the next time we meet." Ash says as Serena nods while getting up as well.

"Agreed." Oak says as all the Professors get up as well.

(Later in the Night in Alain's room)

"Baby?" Aria asks.

"Yeah?" Alain replies.

"What do you think is going to happen?" Aria asks as she turns and positions her self face front on top of Alain's body.

"Regarding what?" Alain asks as he pulls his naked girlfriend closer before softly stroking her face with his free fingers.

"Regarding what's going to happen with that Dragon Emperor? Do you think the champions will be able to come to terms with the reality of the situation?" Aria says before dragging her naked chest over Alain's naked chest till their lips are mere millimeters apart.

"I don't know. What happened today was beyond humiliating. It was very bad. The man mocked the champions and then trashed their Pokemon along with those of the Elite four and gym leader Pokemon as if he was taking out the trash and disposing it in the garbage." Alain replies as he looks into Aria's eyes.

"I know. Palermo was mortified. She told me that the Pokemon Showcase board was absolutely terrified of the Dragon Emperor's display. They are not going to restart the showcases. Palermo was almost on the verge of tears. Serena even reprimanded her to a certain extent. Can you believe her nerve?" Aria says.

"No. But that's not the only reason is it? I know you want to get something off your chest. Why don't you just tell me?" Alain asks. Aria breaks into a smile on hearing that.

"You know me very well don't you?" Aria asks.

"Well I know you well enough to convince you to lie on my naked body while having no clothes on. So I guess I do know you well princess." Alain says. Aria on hearing that playfully punches Alain's shoulder following which they both laugh.

"You are right. You see when I saw Serena, the way she battled in the tournament. I was kind of jealous of what she's achieved but after seeing how her character has changed and what that teacher of hers can do. I am not so sure if that's what I would want now. I mean who wants a teacher who puts you in mortal danger like that?" Aria confesses.

"I know. I felt the same after losing to Ash. But I am actually scared to tell you the truth." Alain replies.

"Of him?" Aria asks.

"Yeah. You saw what he did. He blew up a mountain just to prove a point. I was scared when that sonic wave hit the VIP Box and you were knocked out. Thankfully nothing happened to you." Alain says as his fingers go through Aria's luscious pink hair and gently massage her scalp.

"That's because you threw yourself in front of me and shielded me from the worst of the blast. Thank you." Aria replies.

"Yeah. I only wish Mairin was a little better of. Poor thing in the infirmary with a fractured foot. It will heal but she'll be out of action for weeks." Alain replies.

"I know. We'll visit everyday." Aria says as she cups Alain's face with 2 hands. Alain smiles for moment but then his expression changes to one of worry.

"Anything wrong?" Aria asks.

"Nothing. It's just I worry about you is all. Today was an eye opener of sorts." Alain replies.

"Well let me reassure you then." Aria replies before she presses her lips to Alain's.

"Feeling better now?" Aria asks as she breaks the kiss.

"Now that you mention it. I did take a full hit of a sonic wave for you. So I might need a lot more reassuring than that." Alain replies while smirking.

"Pervert." Aria replies.

"I am your pervert." Alain replies as they both chuckle. Aria then grabs the back of Alain's head as the couple engages in a fierce round of Kalos kissing. Alain's hands rub Aria's body till they grab hold of a pair of very desirable soft squishy round objects. Then they don't let go as the kissing sounds intensify and the bed begins to creak.

(In the Clemont and Korrina's room)

Clemont and Korrina come out of the shower looking very tired due to the intensive activity they just carried out whilst showering.

"Wow. 5 minutes. That's a new record." Korrina says as she enters the covers of the bed.

"Yeah. Well thanks. I try my best." Clemont replies in a tired tone while blushing heavily.

"I know you do. Don't worry, even the 5 minutes are very enjoyable." Korrina says before giving Clemont a kiss which he reciprocates. Korrina however notices a troubled expression on Clemont's face after she breaks off.

"What's the matter? Something wrong?" Korrina asks.

"No. I mean yes." Clemont replies while correcting himself.

"Tell me." Korrina says.

"Today. We didn't fight alongside our gym leader companions. Remember?" Clemont asks.

"So?" Korrina asks.

"So us not fighting alongside the others is in a manner unbecoming of us as gym leaders. I feel like I let everyone down. Diantha, Viola, Seibold. Everyone." Clemont says.

"But we knew it wouldn't have made a difference. There is no point in fighting a losing battle." Korrina replies.

"I know but still. It was a little wrong of us to not stand by our companions as they stood against the Dragon Emperor." Clemont says with a sigh.

"Yes. But Clemont we owe him our relationship like it or not. So this was just. I don't know returning the favor I guess? Besides even Drayden didn't fight and he's not just the Opelucid gym leader but also the head of the Unova school." Korrina replies.

"I guess I am over thinking it. But still I am very glad nothing happened to you." Clemont says as caresses Korrina's cheek.

"Me. I am the tougher fitter one. My body is like an athlete's. I was more worried about you to be honest. Still I am glad all you got was that cut on the right shoulder. It could have been worse." Korrina says. Clemont smiles before kissing Korrina again.

"I guess I am in the Dragon Emperor's debt forever for having you in my life." Clemont confesses with his cheeks flushing red. Korrina giggles on hearing that.

(In Dawn and Paul's room)

"Easy easy." Paul says in a worried tone as Dawn winces in pain while sitting on the chair. Her right hand has plaster due to a hairline fracture in it.

"Now. These are the medicines for the night. Have them with this glass of water." Paul says as he puts 3 tablets in Dawn's uninjured hand while holding a glass of water. Dawn smiles while popping the tablets in her mouth then gulping them down.

"When did you become so caring all of a sudden?" Dawn asks as Paul puts the empty glass back on the table. On hearing that Paul chuckles.

"What's funny?" Dawn asks.

"Nothing. It's just that I have always had a strained relationship with my brother. Yet what he said came true today." Paul replies as he sits on the chair next to Dawn's.

"What does your brother say?" Dawn asks.

"He told me that you don't realize how important a thing is till it is gone. When you were lying on the floor unconscious with blood gushing out of the cut above your left ear, I thought for a second I lost you. You have no idea how relieved I was when you moved." Paul says while looking at the floor. A faint tremor goes through his hand as the memory comes floating back into his mind.

Dawn weakly smiles before leaning her head against Paul's whilst closing her eyes.

"Come now. You should be in bed. Recovering from that fracture." Paul says as he gently scoops Dawn into his arms then carries her over to the bed. He makes sure she is comfortable and then switches the lights off.

"I am here. You need anything just wake me up without any hesitation." Paul says before kissing Dawn's forehead. Following this he pulls the cover of the bed over them both and closes his eyes while facing Dawn who has closed her eyes as well.

(In Ash and Serena's Room)

Ash is twisting in the bed whilst not being able to sleep. While keeping his eyes closed he moves his hand to feel Serena's presence. But upon not feeling Serena's face on her pillow his eyes open and he gets up. He sees Serena is not in the room. He wears his pajamas, puts on his shirt and goes out. He sees Serena standing in the balcony looking out into the night sky. He comes from behind and gently snakes in his arms around her. He giving her a gentle kiss on her cheek before snuggling with her.

"Hey there my queen." He says as he continues to nuzzle with her.

"Hey there yourself." Serena says as she leans into Ash's arms.

"Can't sleep?" Ash asks.

"No. After what happened today. Sleep just doesn't find me." Serena replies.

"Me neither. You have no idea how much I tossed and twisted in my bed while trying to sleep." Ash replies as they both look out KIP in the middle of the night sky. The gentle cool breeze caresses their cheeks and instills a sense of serenity in them.

"I wished that the others would see the Dragon Emperor the way we do." Serena says with a sigh.

"Me too. But the situation is not in our hands entirely. All we can do is hope for the best and prepare for the best." Ash replies.

"Shouldn't that be hope for the best and prepare for the worst?" Serena asks.

"Well everyday with you is the best so how can I say worst?" Ash says while smiling as his hands snake their way inside her robes.

"Haven't you already had your fill of touching my body for the night?" Serena asks while trying not to burst into giggles due to Ash's gentle ticklish touch of his fingers.

"Well you know. One can never have enough of a good thing." Ash says as he blows onto Serena's ear causing her to giggle at the ticklish yet warm sensation.

"So what do we do?" Serena asks.

"We could watch movies all night?" Ash suggests.

"That sounds good. Which one?" Serena asks.

"I don't know. Maybe a trilogy. Oh how about the Gangs of Pikachu?" Ash asks.

"Too gangster for me. I am not sure I am in the mood for that kind of the movie. How about the Dawn of the Prehistoric Pokemon?" Serena asks.

"Works for me." Ash says.

"I don't feel like walking back. Will you carry me?" Serena asks while playfully joking.

"The things I do for you." Ash says as he scopes up Serena in his arms while she snakes her arms around his neck. They smile at each other as Ash carries Serena inside the apartment in bridal style.

(Two Days Later)

Ash and Serena are all packed and ready as they await their master's arrival. Diantha and the others are not too happy about this but they decide to let them go with the Dragon Emperor anyway. Suddenly a huge amount of smoke appears out of nowhere. The smoke immediately subsides to reveal the Dragon Emperor standing with his eyes closed and his Dragon Staff in his right hand. He opens his eyes and the despite not wanting to the champions and the elite four flinch at his presence.

"Ready to go?" Dragon Emperor asks. Ash and Serena nod their heads as they lift their bag packs and stand in front of him.

"Before we go. Go kiss your moms goodbye once again. You'll not see them for a while." Dragon Emperor says.

"But we already did that before you came." Ash replies.

"Don't tell me you have a problem with kissing your moms more than once." Dragon Emperor replies. Ash and Serena nod, they place their bags on the ground and run over to their moms. They tightly hug their mothers and give them both a kiss each.

"Stay safe. Try to remember us once in a while." Grace and Delia say in unison as Ash and Serena run back to Dragon Emperor.

"Take care of them." Grace says to the Dragon Emperor.

"Don't worry they are in good hands. Mine." Dragon Emperor telepathically replies to both Grace and Delia who nod on receiving the message.

"Alright then let's go. Take my hand." Dragon Emperor says while extending his hand forward. Ash and Serena are about to take his hand when they hear a voice telling them to stop. Ash and Serena turn to see Lillie as the one who stopped them.

"Yes?" Dragon Emperor asks in a pleasant tone.

"You said last time you were here. That you were going to help us." Lillie says. Dragon Emperor gets confused for a moment then he suddenly remembers in which context Lillie is talking.

"Ah yes. Of course. Help you regarding the Ultra beast problem. Sorry I have a lot of things on my plate it slipped my mind for a moment." Dragon Emperor replies.

"Well you promised and the Dragon Emperor never breaks his promise does he?" Lillie asks. Lusamine and Gladion look very nervous seeing Lillie talk to the Dragon Emperor in such a manner.

"Very well then." Dragon Emperor says before turning to his Ash and Serena and saying "We'll go a little later. It's about time I got this over with."

"A little later? To solve the Ultra Beast problem we need to go to the Alola region. You think that'll be done in a little amount of time." Lillie asks in a shocked tone.

"You don't worry about how much time it takes. If I have given you my word then you shall have your request fulfilled. For such is the nature of the Dragon Emperor's word." Dragon Emperor replies.

"U mm. OK. We'll go over the logistics first." Lillie says.

"Logistics?" Dragon Emperor inquirers.

"The details. If we are to defeat the Ultra Beasts we need to be thorough with everything there is to know about them. For example since they comes from another dimension much of their biology is unknown." Lillie says. Dragon Emperor on hearing that start laughing.

"Why are you laughing?" Lillie asks in a confused tone. Everyone of the Alolan delegates too are taken aback by the Dragon Emperor's behavior.

"Your innocence is very sweet. It's quite cute. But you needn't worry about all that. As it is everything you know about the Ultra Beast is quite wrong." Dragon Emperor says after he stops laughing.

"What do you mean wrong? The Ultra beast are from a different dimension." Lusamine says which causes Dragon Emperor to smirk.

"There is a difference between being from a different dimension and being banished to a different dimension for your crimes." Dragon Emperor says causing everyone to be taken aback.

"Banished?" Alolan Oak asks in a shocked tone.

"Crimes?" Lillie, Lusamine and Kukui ask in unison.

"Now that all the pleasantries are out of the way. Let's deal with your Ultra beast problem right now. Shall we?" Dragon Emperor says while ignoring everyone's comments.

"Right now?" Lillie asks while shaking.

Dragon Emperor doesn't respond instead he closes his eyes. Then his lips curve into a malicious smile which scares everyone present except Ash, Serena, Grace and Delia. The Dragon Emperor open his eyes and then relaxes his facial expression to form a devious malicious smirk.

(2 Hours Later)

Diantha wakes up. She looks around in a confused manner and realizes that she fell asleep in the KIP battlefield which is in the middle of its overhaul.

"What. What happened?" Diantha says in a dazed tone as she looks around to see everyone on the ground soundly asleep. Everyone from Grace, Delia to the professors to the Elite four. Everyone is asleep. As Diantha dusts her dress to get rid of the dust the others start to stir as well and eventually get back on their feet.

"What happened?" Juniper asks as she dusts herself.

"I don't know. I just woke up too." Diantha replies.

"Why were we sleeping in the KIP battlefield?" Seibold asks as he dusts himself too.

"Wait a minute. Where is the Dragon Emperor? Where are Ash and Serena?" Lance says as everyone suddenly becomes serious.

"I can't see them anywhere." Ilene says as everyone looks everywhere.

"Wait. Look at Lillie's dress." Gladion says. Everyone looks to see a piece of paper wedged into the back of Lillie dress. Lillie hand after moving about a while comes in contact with the paper. Lillie open the paper to see a message from the Dragon Emperor.

'The answer you seek lies in The Office. Regards D. E.'

"What does that mean. KIP has several offices. Which one is the right answer?" Lusamine asks.

"What answer is he talking about?" Steven asks.

"All good questions. But to find that out we need to find the office where the answer is hidden." Oak says.

"It's Diantha's office." Lance says after reading the clue.

"How can you be certain?" Cynthia asks.

"The T of the 'The' and the O of the 'Office' has been capitalized meaning the office is of prime importance." Lance says.

"I agree. That should be the best place to start in either case." Alder says.

(In Diantha's office, 10 minutes later)

"Well it seems Lance's detective skills paid off for once." Diantha says.

"Well let's take a look. What have we here?" Cynthia says as they see a small rectangular box with a white button of top. Next to the button is written 'Press Me.' Diantha goes and presses the button and out of the box shoots out a projection showing the Dragon Emperor standing with his back turned.

"I see you managed to find the message after all." the projection speaks after turning around.

"So I was right. We fell asleep because you put us to sleep just like Ilene during the meeting where you teleported." Diantha says to which the projection nods.

"Your hindsight is 20/10." the projection replies.

"What happened?" Diantha asks.

"Yes. That is the real question. Isn't it? What happened?" Dragon Emperor's projections replies while smiling.

"Yes also why can't we remember what happened?" Cynthia asks.

"All you need to know is that the Ultra Beast are dealt with. Do not concern yourself with the logistics." projection replies while turning to Lillie.

"How?" Lillie asks in a shocked tone.

"Details. Details. We have better things to discuss. Don't we Mr. Goodshow?" projection replies while turning to Goodshow.

"Who are you and why we have never seen a trainer like you before?" Goodshow asks.

"Why do you ask questions to which you don't want to know the answers to? Some things are best kept unknown." projection replies.

"What do you mean?" Lance asks back.

"Once a secret is known." projection says before pausing.

"It can not be unknown." projection warns everyone else.

"Alright then I'll ask you a different question. Which criminal organization do you work for?" Goodshow demands.

"Good and Evil. Day and Night. Hot and Cold. Truth and Lies. Light and Dark. You have the luxury of seeing the world in black and white. I don't. For I am the one in the middle. I am the Dragon Emperor." projection replies. Goodshow is about to speak again when the projection resumes speaking as it twirls its fingers.

"Who I am and what I intend to do is none of your concern. But know this and know this well. Anyone who dares to stand in my way. I shall pull them apart piece by piece." the projection replies as it admires its fingers. Then it turns to face everyone else present.

"They shall eventually be the architects of their own destruction." projections says as his voice grows ominous and cold by the time the sentences finish. Then the projection vanishes and the box instantly catches fire. Within moments it is reduced to mere specks which drift and eventually vanish into the air. As an ominous silence descends in the room everyone looks at Goodshow who seems to immersed in deep thought. The lines of frustrations and worry on his forehead worries everyone else as well.
