Chapter 8: Who Now?

When Caitlin said that, Barry was shocked to find out that he didn't care. I mean, why should he? He didn't remember her, so there was nothing to mourn.

"So?" he asked, and everyone gasped in absolute shock. "Barry?" someone questioned behind him. He didn't really care who. "You're mother, Nora. You don't remember her?" Len asked. Barry shook his head. He didn't remember her, and he couldn't help but not care because of that.

...

Everyone couldn't help but stare. Nora's death was something that had affected his life for so long, and now he couldn't even remember it.

"Barry?" Len asked.

"You're mother, Nora. You don't remember her?" Len asked. Barry shook his head.

Len felt his eyes start to water, but he wouldn't let the tears fall.

Len went to hug Barry, and he would've, but thence remembered the last real thing they had exchanged.

A punch.

No kiss goodbye, or kind words, but a punch to the face.

But then Barry opened his arms, and Len hugged him anyway.

He knew he was taking advantage of Barry, but he didn't care all that much.

...

When Barry was able to go back to sleep, he had another weird dream.

...

"Fuck you, Barry," Cisco said. "So, screw with my life, fine, but God forbid people you care about die."

"Cisco... Please," he begged, but Cisco wouldn't listen to him.

"I hate you, Barry Allen. I'm not sorry for making that coldgun, or for giving up your 'secret'  identity, or anything.

"You deserved it all."

(It was just Cisco. No one else was there)

...

Barry gasped.

Cisco? Was that actually Cisco?

When he saw everyone racing toward him, (Including Cisco) he instinctively took a step back.

"Barry?" Caitlin asked. "You ok?"

Barry slowly pointed a finger at Cisco. "You-you hate me," he said slowly.

Cisco looked at Barry closely. "No, I don't," he said, and took a step toward Barry, but Barry took a step back.

"You-you said, 'Fuck-fuck you, Barry. So-so, screw with my life, fine, but-but God forbid people you care about die-die."

Cisco looked absolutely shocked.

Now it was his turn to take a step back.

Everyone turned to look at him.

"He's-he's remembering stuff," Cisco said.

"Yeah-yeah, and I remembered Zoom? killing my dad," Barry admitted.

Len turned to give him another hug, and Barry excepted it, but everyone else continued to stare daggers at Cisco.

"You said what?" Caitlin asked.

Cisco gulped.

"I-I may have said that when I was mad about Dante..." Cisco admitted.

"Cisco! How could you!?" Caitlin yelled.

"I was angry! I thought he," Cisco pointed to Barry, "Had killed my brother!"

"I-I killed your brother?" Barry asked in a small voice.

Everyone turned to him, completely shocked that he would get that conclusion.

Then they replayed what he had said.

"No! You didn't kill anyone, Bear," Joe said as he tried to walk closer, but Barry just pressed harder against Len. (Phrasing! Read my description to understand that)

"I-I-I did, didn't I? I'm not in jail because of the memory loss, but as soon as I'm better I'm going in," Barry said, completely ignoring everyone except the warm body he was pressed up against.

"No, Barry, you're not because it wasn't your fault," Len whispered against his ear.

Suddenly, Barry's chant changed from "I-I-I did, didn't I? I'm not in jail because of the memory loss, but as soon as I'm better I'm going in," to "No, Barry, you're not because it wasn't your fault."

Len breathed a sigh of relief.

Then he noticed the fact that everyone was staring at him.

"What?" he growled, causing Barry to snap out of it.

"Len? Are you ok?" he asked, causing everyone to give Len an unimpressed look.

He barely refrained from throwing his hands in the air and storming out with Barry.

Barely.

"Anyway, back to being mad at Cisco?" Len said, hoping to steer the topic away from him and Barry.

For some odd reason, it worked.

"How could you say that to anyone, let alone Barry!?!" Iris screamed.

"She's right, Cisco," Caitlin said, "That was a little far."

"I didn't mean it! I was angry! I wish I could takeout back!" Cisco said, but no one was listening to him anymore.

"Are you ok, Barry?" Joe asked. Barry nodded, causing Len's stomach to move.

Everyone chuckled lightly at the adorable scene.

"Stop!" Len whined.

Barry didn't look up, but he did put his hand in Len's.

It was like watching a teenager with a child, Len being the teenager. (Reference to my new story, Barry Snart)

"Anyway, you'd better go back to bed," Len said to his stomach. Barry giggled. "Fine. But you have to come with me."

Len sighed.

"Fine," he said as Barry pulled him to a nearby couch.

Everyone smiled.

"Looks like Barry's doing just fine," Joe said, causing everyone to laugh.

...

Note: I'm so sorry for how long that chapter took! I kept getting writer's block, then I had to focus on my other stories, and it was just a mess.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed!
