Chapter 10: Broken
Note: Sorry, but I'm kinda sick of doing videos at the beginning.
...
"You WHAT!?!?!?" Joe shouted.
"Yeah, I'm not proud of it," Len said.
"You cheated on my son!?" Joe said as he fought against Iris, Cisco, and Caitlin's hold.
He was barely contained.
Suddenly Barry walked in.
"Oh, joy! Which incident did you tell them about?" Barry asked, making Joe even angrier.
"Wait. What do you remember?" Cisco asked, "Because you remember more than one incident."
"Oh, I remember every hateful comment, Cisco," Barry said.
Cisco suddenly turned pale.
"My personal favorite was, 'I bet you loved it, Barry. Even more than a cereal killer. You hooked? 'Cause you killed Eddie, Ronnie, HR, Nora, and Dante. Not to mention the other timelines.' I remember crying for days after that. But you never seemed to notice. You said I liked killing people? I wonder if you liked destroying my soul."
Cisco looked at Barry.
Then he ran to the sink.
"How much did you remember, Barry?" Joe asked.
"Oh! I almost forgot about you! Pun intended. See, you were so convinced that Henry was capable of murder, you tried to tell a kid that his dad murdered his mother. I remember trying to prove something, but you kept tallying me, 'No! Henry murdered Nora, not some stupid man in yellow!'. It hurt overtime you said it, but that last time hurt the most. I hope it was fun."
Joe looked green.
"Barry?" Iris asked.
"Oh Iris. You used to break my heart every chance you got. We used to be friends, and now we can't be, because you seem to enjoy my pain."
"No, I don't!" she said weakly.
Barry then decided to answer the question.
"I remember everything," he said.
Everyone gasped.
Barry smirked.
"I remember how each of you wronged me, made fun of me, hurt me, broke me.
"And now I'm going to get revenge."
With that, he raced off to god knows where.
...
Barry felt like... he wanted to kill everyone.
Like they deserved it.
He mentally shook himself.
What was he thinking? Just start killing people?
And why did that seem appealing?
He stopped fighting it.
He vibrated his vocal cords to a deeper level, similar to Zoom's, and raced to the nearest new's station.
...
Barry felt like he didn't exist.
He felt like he was someone else.
Something else (Totally an Arrow reference).
He felt like pure rage.
Like everything, everyone, who had wronged him deserved to be punished.
...
When he arrived at the news station, he smirked through his new mask, and moved past the people.
"Who are you? Someone please get him off the set!" one of the women called.
"Go ahead and try," Barry said.
When one of the guards walked forward, he struck a hand through his chest and watched as the life drained from his eyes.
Everyone gasped.
"My name is Tag. Don't try and hope that The Flash will save you, because he's dead. It he wasn't, wouldn't he be here?"
Barry gestured around, but there was no lightning except for the blue lighting editing from Barry.
"Thought so. Now, some people need to die, and I wanna give them a chance to try and run.
"First, let's welcome Linda Park! You have 24 hours to try and run or hide before I kill you.
"Next, Patty Spivot. You also have 24 hours. Use your time to say goodbye to your loved ones. I will tell you why you are on this list when I come to kill you."
He raced off, leaving the news crew in complete shock.
...
When Linda walked through work the next day, she was confused as why everyone was staring at her in shock.
And fear.
"What?" she snapped.
"You haven't heard?" Iris asked nervously.
"Heard what?"
"Here." Iris dragged her into a nearby office.
Then she showed her the news report.
"Why me?" she questioned, and she felt tears fill her eyes.
"Maybe it's a different Linda Park?"
Linda shook her head.
"No, it's probably me. I just don't know why."
Linda sighed.
"I don't have a husband, boyfriend, or kids. What do I have to show for my life?"
Iris looked at her like she was crazy.
"You have an amazing job, tons of friends, and you know The Flash, who can help you."
"I just, I don't understand."
Suddenly, a burst of blue lighting burst in.
"Where is Linda Park? Her time is up."
"I'm-I'm over here," Linda whimpered.
He turned to face her.
Suddenly, she felt herself being lifted into his arms, and she realized she was being run somewhere.
When she was set down, she realized that she was literally in the middle of nowhere.
She looked toward the speedster in fear.
Then he pulled down his hood.
"Barry?"
"Why, hello, Linda," Barry greeted as he paced around her.
"You broke it off with me."
"I thought we were over that!"
"Nope. And now you're going to pay."
Then she felt something in her chest, and then the blackness overwhelmed her.
...
Patty sat at home. For some reason, she wanted to watch the news.
So she turned it on.
And saw Tag's announcement.
Unlike Linda, she had tons to live for.
So she decided to try running.
...
As soon as she was done packing, she started her car.
What she hadn't realized was that the news was on repeat.
...
As she drove, she felt someone's arms around her, then she thought she saw herself vibrate, then she was in the middle of nowhere, and next to Linda's dead body.
She gasped.
He really was a murderer.
"What did I ever do to you!?" she screamed, but the man just laughed.
Then he took off his mask.
"Barry?"
"You broke up with me right before my dad was murdered. You sent me into depression, and now you will pay."
She felt like something was in her chest.
She looked down, but by then it was too late.
The blackness had taken over.
...
Note: I bet you're wondering what happened to Barry.
I'll give a hint to all of The Hunger Games fans.
Remember when Peeta was kidnapped by the President?
Anyway, I'm so sorry it took so long! If you want an excuse, it was because I was spending so much time on Barry Snart (I really hate that name. Does anyone have a better one?).
Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed.
