Lillian stepped out of the crowded house onto the empty patio, drink in hand. She looked at all the people below her, talking and partying in the large backyard. Popular kids, jocks, the cheerleaders, the nerds cowering in the corner... She didn't even know why they bothered to show up. She was happy to look at everyone from up above, where it was quiet and peaceful.
Someone grabbed her from behind, making her spill some of her beer from the glass in her hand. "Gotcha!" Lillian's best friend Jamie called out. "Jamie! Why do you keep doing that? I was busy." Lillian said, turning around to look at her. "Ooo, Lillian is too busy watching Blake to talk to her BFF." Jamie teased. "Well..." Lillian trailed off, turning back around to look at Blake. He was the man of her dreams, every girl had someone who they wanted, and Blake was hers. She had wanted to be his girlfriend since the moment she laid eyes on him. He was handsome, cool, popular, he has such beautiful black glossed ha... "Lillian you are daydreaming again, aren't you?" Jamie looked  at her. "He will notice you someday, I promise." She said, taking a sip of her own drink. "Hey babe, you ran off." Jamie's eyes lit up at the sound of her boyfriends deep voice. "James!" James picked her up and spun her around, then turned to Lillian. "Lil, you know if you keep staring at Blake, you'll drill holes in his head." James said. "Or he will think you are a freak and stalker." Jamie added. Lillian pulled her gaze away from Blake and turned back to her friends. "Whatever. You guys are just lucky you have each other." She said before running back into the house.
