012; A Happy Accident ; Final

Evelyn and Atlas had spent the last month packing and unpacking, arranging and rearranging the new house, and just enjoying the peace of knowing they had each other. However, one thing was bugging Evelyn, since the first night they started packing she's been feeling off, not a bad feeling, she just feels a little different - well her body does. She's noticed herself gaining weight a bit easier, and being bloated more often, so she kept it to herself and took a test - a pregnancy test. She sat on the toilet and waited for it to process, already in nervous yet happy tears. Slowly, she picked it up, closing her eyes, her hand tightening its grip on the test as she turns it over, she squints to read it and she screams happily as she reads the word "Pregnant" on the little screen of the test.

Atlas runs into the bathroom, the door slamming against the wall as he panics, then calms as he sees her turn and face him with a huge smile on her face, "What?! What happened? Why are smiling so big?!" He asks frantically, Evelyn starts crying even harder than before and then turns the test to face him, "Look! We're having a mini us. I'm PREGNANT!" She said excitedly, running and wrapping her arms around his neck, "You're serious?! We're having a baby?!" He said, practically bawling happy tears, Evelyn nodding into his shoulder as he hugs her tightly.

They spoke about telling their parents, Atlas excited to call them immediately, but Evelyn stopped him. "I'm only in the first trimester, so it'd be best to wait until I'm in the second trimester. I want to make sure we don't get too excited and then lose it all and have to tell everyone we lost our little moon" She said with a sad tone in her voice, Atlas held her hands and looked into her eyes, "If you want to wait and be safe, then I can want to. After all, it's what will keep you and the baby safe and happy." He said, kissing her forehead.

Evelyn loosened up and felt better knowing he fully supported and listened to her worries and thoughts, whether they were small or big, he never told her she was being silly or that it wasn't that big; instead he listened and offered her ways to fix it and to solve the worries. He was her yellow. Her soulmate, true love and best friend all in one person.

Once their course of action was decided, they started looking into booking appointments for a first scan. They wanted to simply confirm the pregnancy and see how far she was exactly, and if the baby was growing and developing at a considerably normal rate. "How about this woman for our OBGYN? She's experienced and people seem to like her." Evelyn said as she pointed at one of the pictures, "Her name.....Soojin Lee." Atlas audibly gasps, turning Evelyn's attention to him, "What? Why is her name such a shock?" She asks in a panicky tone. "Well she isn't a very nice person, and well um, she's my previous ex. She's possessive and last time a guy broke up with her and she saw him with another girl, she almost beat the girl to death, and kind of stabbed her with a heel." Atlas awkwardly explaining to her, Evelyn sat in shock as she listened.

They went back and fourth but eventually chose a much older woman, who worked in the same  hospital, but was a much less stressful route to take. Once they'd called and booked they started looking at each spare room they had, picking based on space, size and the best looking when it came to alcoves or walls. They wanted the babies crib to be tucked into a wall so that it would maximize the space the baby had for toys, a wardrobe, play are etc. "I liked the room next to ours best. It has the best placement of a tucked wall, the space is relatively large and we could even fit a rocking chair in their and a small couch in case one of us needs to sleep with Moon." Evelyn said with confidence.

She began mapping out the placement of furniture on paper. Atlas nodded in agreement, and watched as she mapped it out and then stuck it on the wall of the room. "See what I mean? Everything fits nicely into a designated spot, and we still have the entirety of the space in the middle." She explained it to him as she pointed at the spots, and explained each idea, atlas watching her with full admiration for her.

6 Months On (4 weeks from D-Day)

Evelyn was now 8 months into the pregnancy, and the entire family was told once they'd confirmed the baby's sex. Which, to their surprise two little girls.

At their sex confirmation scan, the obgyn noticed another spot on the screen and realised it wasn't one baby it was two. When they were informed they didn't believe her so she scanned over them again and showed them. Atlas almost passed out and Evelyn was so in shock even her tears were on hold. "Hey, baby, that means we had a little moon and a little sun this entire time." Evelyn said in a state of happy shock.

With the nursery finished, and everything they needed bought, in doubles, was done - they started packing the bags for the hospital. One bag embroidered with Aurora*, and one with Ayla* on it. Each name contrasted one another in meaning. "I can't believe we're only four weeks away from meeting our little sun and moon." Evelyn said as she placed her hands on her tummy, atlas' hands following and laying over Evelyn's, "When you see daddy, don't forget my voice. I'll sing to you both when you're finally here." Atlas whispered as he sang to them.

Evelyn sat and watched, being thankful he was the father of her children, and that she'd met someone so happy and always willing to take full responsibility of himself and his actions.

A/N: I wasn't going to make this the finale, but i wanted to end it somewhere you could go off and imagine their life the way  you want. I feel this ending was the most appropriate and had i carried on id have gotten bored and the story would begin to drift off and make no sense. I may do a bonus chapter in the future, but for now this is where it ends.

I really hope you all enjoyed this, and I hope you look forward to my next series coming out soon (Late Feb possibly). It'll either be the "Black Swan's Curse" or "A Glimpse Of Evil" that comes out. Most likely "A Glimpse Of Evil" will come first as I already have the first chapter done. Be warned though, it has zero romance and is more like a mystery horror and will get graphic as it contains murder.

Other than that, goodbye for a while. I'll post updates here and there, but it'll merely be things to let you know release dates, plans, any hiatus' etc so do be checking for them too. :)) Farewell.
