007; Who Are You?
Evelyn's curiosity was one of her weaknesses. She was always looking to learn or find out more about specific things. One of them now being the attempted murder Noah committed - And was it even true what they said? Evelyn looked into it, searching all news outlets but found, nothing. Then she decided to search it underneath the specific location. She remembered that before moving to Ilsan, Noah lived in Busan, so she searched it and got a result. However the article wasn't what she expected, it simply read;
"CASE CLOSED; After the police department rule that there is not enough evidence to support a charge against him, he will simply get off with a warning and attempted robbery placed on his record."
She stared at the screen blankly, trying to process the information. She got dressed into a simple brown oversized jumper and grey sweats, and ran to Atlas'. I have to tell him, I need someone to share my complete and utter confusion and disappointment with. When she got to Atlas' she ran in without warning, scaring poor Atlas for a moment, "WHAT IN TH- Evelyn?! What's up?" Atlas said, shocked at her sudden appearance, "Well, I did some research on the case Noah is suspected of, and apparently he was released because of 'lack of evidence' even though both victims could confirm it was him? So why was it closed?" Evelyn explained to Atlas, trying her best not to breakdown of confusion and being overwhelmed.
Atlas took a look at the article, letting out a small and quiet gasp at the mention of the victims name. Jieun Oh. Atlas looked at Evelyn with a gaping mouth in shock, "I know her. She was my best friend from 17, through the last years of high school. I stayed in the hospital with her but she never told me who it was that broke in she just said an ex" Atlas said, explaining in short what he knew about her and the situation. Evelyn gasped, "That means you've probably crossed paths with Noah long before now!" Evelyn shouted, Atlas looked at her and thought about it, "I mean, now that you mention it, his face is a little familiar. Like, it feels like I knew him a long time ago, but I don't know. I had a car accident when I was 15, and I know I had memory loss. Maybe he was a friend i forgot about?" Atlas said, closing his eyes trying to remember his face, but overall failing.
Evelyn pats Atlas' shoulders and hugs him reassuringly, "Hey, it's fine. That's not important right now, what is important is the fact it's the evening and you haven't eaten yet" Evelyn said, almost sounding like his mum, "How'd you know?" Atlas asked, a little confused, "You get really pale and colourless when you don't eat. Also, you have a little bit of a tired look, so I assumed you hadn't eaten." Evelyn said with a smug looking smirk on her face, winking at Atlas as she made her way to his kitchen. She got started on making the base and sides to her Bibimbap, and then cooked some pork and beef, with fried vegetables on the side, and of course a bowl of rice each.
After she placed the dishes on the table, and putting the cutlery down, she sat in front of Atlas, "When did you cook like this? I've known you for almost a year and I've never known you can cook like this!!" Atlas said, completely shocked at her skill to cook such amazing food. Her food brought back old memories from life at home with his mum, the nostalgia was comforting and brought happiness into his heart. In a way, it made him miss home a little less having her cook such amazing food. "Hey, Atlas. You seem a little deep in thought, are you ok?" Evelyn said, waving her hand a little, attempting to get his attention, "Hmm? Yeah, I'm fine. Its just your food made me think of home and how comforting my mum's food used to be." Atlas said, a glaze of love and happiness coming over his eyes. This is what true love is I guess.
They finished the food and washed the dishes, and then sat back down to watch a movie. As the movie played, Evelyn dosed off, her head landing on Atlas' shoulder. As Atlas admired Evelyn, her phone buzzed, he knew he shouldn't look but his temptation was too strong, he turned her phone to face up and saw an unknown number texting her. The message said;
+44 XXX: Hey Evelyn, I hope you're happy now that you've broken my heart. How could you date my own brother? HOW?! Did you ever care? I don't think you ever did.
EVELYN(atlas): I don't know who this is, but I most definitely don't have a brother, and she obviously doesn't know you if your number isn't saved. So, as her boyfriend, I politely ask you not text her again.
+44 XXX: Oh, Hello Atlas. So you really don't remember me? Or the day you found out that we weren't just best friends from birth? What a shame. I was hoping we could reunite.
Atlas didn't answer. He just put her phone down again. Trying to ignore that the person knew his name, watching the movie, well attempting too, but failing. Who the hell is he?

A/N: Sorryyyy!! I've been so busy I've not had time to get this done. Also its short because I, for one, have had difficulties figuring out what to name the chapter, and two, writers block has decided to come for a visit. so if this chapter seems a little off from my others, i apologise on behalf of my A**hole enemy called Writers Block. Other than that, I hope you enjoyed it.
