RECAP:
"It sure is a good thing that my parents know about my job," I say, and she looks surprised.
WE CONTINUE.
"Oh, is the strong popular girl not able to understand that I like my job?" I tease. She gets a bit mad for a second, and I'm scared that she might cancel the job. She calms down, though, and so do I.
"Well, I have to be getting home," she says, and I nod. "So do I."
"I'll try getting info on her tonight, and if that doesn't work out, I'll probably go out sometime later this week," I say, and she nods.
"I'll text you her address later," Jennifer says.
"'Kay, thanks," I say, and walk away.
I begin to head home as it gets dark, slightly paranoid of whatever could be out there. As I walk through the door, I smell Mom's cooking, hear the game blasting over the soundbar in the living room, and see my sister playing with her toys in the living room.
"I'm home!" I shout, and the volume goes down, my sister stops playing, and my mom steps out of the kitchen. Kaylee, my sister, runs up to me, so I bend down and swoop her up into a giant hug. I swing her around a bit before setting her back down. As I walk through the living room to the kitchen, I kiss my dad on the forehead. "Dad, Mom, I have another client. I need to go out tonight to get information on the target."
"Alright, Shia, Just be back before 2 a.m., okay?" Mom says, and I nod. I sit down in the living room and wait for Mom to be finished with dinner.
After dinner, I do the dishes and watch a couple of episodes of Riverdale with Kaylee before getting changed into some black leggings and a black sweater. I put my hair up in a bun and put on my black beanie. I head back downstairs and check this kid's address.
