Chapter 24 - shut up, dragon boy

~Lucy's POV~

I woke up in the morning. All the flashbacks from yesterday came to my mind. I looked next to me and saw Natsu sleeping. I blushed and woke him up.

"Natsu! Time to go to school," I said. I knew he heard it, but he didn't get up. He just pretended he was asleep.

I groaned, right, I have a lazy boyfriend. I tickled him, but I guess he can bear it because he didn't move a muscle.

How the hell am I going to wake him? Then there came a idea in my head, I smirked in the proces. I called him again, making sure he hears me.

"Natsu, if you don't change in one minute, I'm going to break up with you already," I said, making my voice sound serious.

His eyes shot open and pounced on me, pinning me down. "Don't you dare. I'm not gonna let you in the first place," he said, his rough morning voice surprising me. It sounded so sexy, and hot and... I pushed him away and stood up, sticking my tongue to him.

"Thirty seconds left," I said. His eyes widened and he immediately ran to the wardrobe. I laughed and went downstairs.

Only I forgot one problem, I was still in Natsu Dragneel's house. I saw Wendy, Grandeeney and Igneel looking at me surprised.

"Honey, since when were you staying over?" Grandeeney asked, trying to figure it out. I saw Wendy looking at me smirking, she knowssss...

"U-uhm..." I stuttered, beginning to think of an excuse, but couldn't. Then an arm went over my shoulder, I looked at my right and saw Natsu already dressed. Guys are fast for sure.

"She's my girlfriend," Natsu said with a toothy grin. Wendy and Grandeeney squealed, but Natsu's father looked confused. "But wasn't she your girlfriend already?" he asked.

"Long story," I said, faking a smile. We grabbed an apple from the table and walked outside. "Let's go."

We went in his red car. I checked my phone, seeing 19 missed calls. 4 from Levy, 2 from Erza, 1 from Juvia and 12 from Mira... I sweat dropped.

"What's up?" Natsu asked, raising an eyebrow, but still focused on the road. "Mira called me twelve times," I said.

"Oh shit! I totally forgot your friends, Erza and Mira are gonna beat the crap out of me and then they are gonna lecture me," Natsu said, his face in a scowl. I laughed.

"Are you gonna tell everyone?" I asked. He shook his head. "Not now," he said.

I bit my lip, wanting to question why not not wanting to sound like such a whiny girlfriend.

We arrived at school and said goodbye, after agreeing nobody needed to know unless they ask for it specifically.

It's not like I care much about if strangers know we're together or not. It's not like I owe them an explanation or anything.

I picked my lunch and sat with my friends. "So Lucy..." Mira began staring straight at me.

I swallowed and looked everywhere but in her eyes.

"What happened between you and Natsu now?" she asked, smirking. All the other girls agreed with the question.

"Yeh, I wanna know too, Lucy," Levy said, putting her book down.

"Me too," Erza said.

"Juvia is curious too," Juvia ended.

I sighed and gave up. "It's not like you guys don't know already," I said. They spammed the groupchat full of things of Natsu and me.

"I wanna hear you say it," Mira said mischievously.

"We're together," I bit out, feeling heat rise to my cheeks.

"NaLu cannon. I repeat NaLu is cannon," Mira said like a robot. My friends giggled at her obsession. "NATSU!" Erza screamed suddenly.

The whole cafeteria became quiet. Natsu walked slowly to our table. "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM, GO BACK DOING YOUR OWN THINGS!" Erza said to the crowd. They went back to chatting.

"What's up, Erza?" Natsu said, giving off a casual vibe. "Treat Lucy as a princess, because otherwise..." Erza said. Natsu tipped towards me. "Please make her go away," he whispered.

Then I stared at Erza, my eyes in a playful glare. "I'm a queen."

Natsu clicked his tongue, pointing at me. "Treat me like a king then."

Three seconds later we both burst out laughing.

"That was so cliché," I said through my laughs.

"Oh god, is this what girls always say?"

Erza smacked his head. "Shut up, dragon boy."

We snickered when Natsu's face turned red. He gave me a dirty glance, scowling.

Soon he waved goodbye and went back to his friends.

I was eating lunch when someone ticked on my shoulder. It was a boy with black hair and brown eyes. Suddenly he went to confess his feelings for me.

"Hey Lucy. Let just make this short. I like you, so if you're single would you please date me?" he asked. But he said it very loud, so I heard a lot of 'ooooohh.'

Have to give it to him, he has guts. Even guys have problems confessing feelings. But I don't even know him... I've never seen him.

The people became quiet when they felt a dark aura.

I didn't even have to guess, only one person has that aura when he was angry. The boy turned around and shrieked. Natsu was staring darkly at him and he moved closer.

"Sorry, but she ain't gonna date you," he spat in his face.

Not gonna lie either, this boy is cute as hell. "But you ain't her boyfriend so Lucy has the right to decide."

"Did he seriously just go against Natsu?"

"He surely has a dead wish."

"We'll remember you."

The boy looked confused, I think he was new. Natsu grabbed his shirt, "Look, I don't know who you are, but I don't care. Get away from Lucy," he threatened.

I pushed Natsu off of him, slapping his hands away.

The boy took the chance to ran away. "Natsu," I called him out, but he didn't listen. I called again, no answer. I grabbed his arm, now he was looking at me. "Why so possessive?" I asked.

"Because you're mine. I won't share you with anyone," he whispered.

My face became red and I looked away.

He chuckled and dragged me suddenly to the middle of the crowd. He kissed me in front of everyone. I kissed him back, not caring about the people. When we broke the kiss, Natsu turned to them with a cold stare.

"Listen, Lucy is my girlfriend. So don't you dare hit her up," he said. I thought he didn't want to say it, but I'm glad.

The crowd looked dumbfounded and left. Natsu showed me a gentle smile. "So, what do you want to do, Luce?" he asked. "We have school," I pointed out. "Also, don't be so possessive. I'm not an object."

He tilted his head, frowning. "I know, I just don't want you to get feelings for others."

"As of now, I won't," I assured, grinning. "We still have school," I said when he dragged me towards the door.

"I. Don't. Care," he said smiling. I sighed, obviously he doesn't care. "There is no coming out of this, is there?" I asked and he shook his head.

"This is no fun relationship if I don't have a word in it," I pouted. He chuckled and came to my ear, "It will always be that way," he said huskily, making his voice lower.

I stared him down. "You wish," I said and pushed him a little away.

He dragged me out of school, but we were stopped by the guards. "Where do you think you two are going?" a man asked.

"Away from here, isn't it obvious?" Natsu asked in a 'duh' tone. "You are not allowed to," another guard said.

"Do you know who I am?" Natsu asked threateningly. I know where this is gonna lead. "No, should I?" he said.

"Natsu Dragneel," Natsu said. The guys looked confused, but they realized it soon enough. "Sorry, you two are free to go," the guards said.

How much I hate to say it, with money and wealth, you do come far.

He opened the gate and we went to the park. We sat down on the grass laughing. "Natsu, you really take advantage of your name," I said.

"Yeah, it's fun if people are afraid of you. Look at their faces. You should do it too," he said smiling while holding my hand.

"Nope, I'm not like you."

"And that makes you interesting. Let's go swimming," he said. Does this guy want to swim a marathon or something?

I groaned. "But we did that yesterday," I said, thinking about when he threw me in the water.

"So?" he asked.

Guys.

"So my answer is no," I said, playing with the grass.

"Fine, what do you want to do then?" Natsu asked.

I thought of something, "Can we visit my parents' graves?" It was so long ago since I visited them. I was like... afraid to do so.

It's not fair that they're six feet under while I'm here.

Natsu's mouth opened a little, and an emotion washed over his eyes. "Whatever you want."

Then he chuckled, trying to break the sudden tension. "Weird choice of a second date I must say though."

I gave him a bump on the shoulder. "Shush."

I looked down a little bit. "It's not a date. It's a visit they deserve from me. A visit long overdue. I don't have the courage to face them alone."

Natsu grabbed my hands softly, making me look at him. He smiled gently, as if the whole world with its badness doesn't exist. "I know. It's okay. I was just teasing you. Let's go."

It was cloudy, perfect weather I must say. We went to the graveyard, I searched for the graves, still holding Natsu's hand.

I found it and placed the flowers I bought.

"Hey mum, dad. Haven't talked to you for a while. So much has happened. I made the best friends I could ask for. And believe it or not, I found a guy. His name is Natsu Dragneel. Maybe you know him, I heard you were friends with his parents. Son of Igneel. He has pink hair too," I began, but was cut by Natsu.

"It's salmon," he said.

"It's a shade of pink," I retorted.

"No, it is not."

"Yes, it is."

"No."

"Yes."

"No," he said, clenching his hands in pretend anger.

"No."

"Yes," Natsu ended while I smirked. "Told ya," I said and he pouted.

"Well mum, dad where was I? Oh right, so Natsu is my boyfriend. He is funny, caring, super protective—"I coughed loudly—"and demanding much."

"You know I heard that, right?" he asked, knowing the answer. I directed my head the other way and crossed my arms while smiling. "Your turn."

"Okay, I guess. Hello parents of Lucy. You probably know by now that I'm Natsu Dragneel, your daughter's boyfriend. She's... different," he said, chuckling, seeming like he was sinking in his thoughts. "She's amazing. First she made me feel excited about going to school again, then she helped me with my past problems."

I continued to listen to him. He told it with so much happiness and caring in his voice. I couldn't help but smile, I hugged him from behind when he was finished.

"Thank you," I said out of nowhere.

He turned his head to me. "For what, Luce?" he asked.

"For being you."
