17-year-old Eli Winters is a turtle. Her parents separating and then her heart getting broken just made her retreat inside her shell more. When she takes on the challenge of a Pay It Forward-esque activity called "The 100 Happy Days Campaign" to distract herself (as suggested by her carefree albeit well meaning friend, Sandra) from the chaos she calls life, she's forced to come out of hiding and do things she wouldn't normally do.

Enter Kris, the giraffe. The exact opposite of Eli. He's good looking, charming, and...well, tall. He wasn't a giraffe for nothing. Kris finds Eli's shell beautiful but empty.

Eli is sure she isn't ready for him but they cross paths anyway as she goes on her happiness campaign. Crossing paths being Eli acting unlike herself because the campaign made you do things you wouldn't normally do. Kris - possibly the wrongest person for her - came at the worst possible time.

How do you trust someone acting out of their real character? How do you entrust someone with your heart when everything else points you not to?

What is happiness anyway when you've already forgotten how it feels like?
