This story takes place in a world where not only does people have soulmates they are also grouped as different ranks similar to werewolf rank system. And they are as follows.

Assertives : they are the dominant ones like the Alphas , they takes the lead role in relationships and in society . Neither male nor females can pregnant , but there are few exceptions when and if really lucky a female assertive can conceive.  If in soulmate group there are multiple assertives the most dominant one by ranking who are born in high class or are pure bloods , tht is the child born to two Assertive parents will be the lead .

Neutrals:  they are similar to beta in werewolf. They keep the peace since they are the most level headed and their instincts aren't strong and crazy like Assertives or Submissives. Females can get pregnant. Male pregnancy is rare in neutrals but not unheard of. 

Submissives: They are like their name suggest the submissive ones in a relationship. Their instincts to love and get loved and pampered. Even though long periods without finding your soulmate mate can effect all three of these ranks submissive are the most vulnerable without their partners. Long wait to find their soulmates can effect the subs both mentally and physically. Both male and female can get pregnant.

Now about soulmates.

Every person will get their soulmates at the time of presenting as different ranks at the age of 13 when their eyes changes for few hours max 4 hours which reveals their rank. At the same time they will get their soulmate tattoo or tattoos on different parts of their body.

So when two soulmates makes eye contact their eyes will glow their respective rank and when they touch each other's soul mark it fills with colour.
