Character Teaser: Truth: Stellar Being Trapped in Rain
We open with Truth standing in the center of a field as it was raining. Lightning flashes as Truth looks out.
"Rain. Water's wildest form. For with rain comes lightning. With lightning comes destruction. And with destruction comes death," Truth said as he fell back into a deep void of an ocean "But the rain cannot wash away sin,".
Water rushed around Truth in a whirlpool. As it dispersed he found himself laying under an apple tree. An apple fell from the tree and Truth caught it.
"But it can wash away the evidence of sin," Truth said.
The scene changes to Truth standing in the center of a palace square as a bright light in the shape of a four-pointed star protruded from the sky.
"Blood from a murder scene, footprints from a criminal's route, graffiti from a tagger. They're all so easily erased by the rain. Though rain cannot wash away the guilt or the past. The universe is fickle in that way. Nobody can escape the eyes of the raindrops as they fall to the earth. Not even those beings these people call 'gods'. Not even I can escape those eyes," Truth said as he walked through the palace square as it slowly shifted to Mondstadt, then Liyue Harbor, then Inazuma City, then Sumeru City, then the Court of Fontaine, then the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, and finally a snowy palace in the nation of Snezhnaya.
Truth looked up at the sky as he was suddenly in the field again. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. As he exhaled the rain slowed down and his hair turned indigo.
"Not even you can escape those eyes. But I cannot let you face the weight of my sin. We're here because of my actions. My irreversible actions. So old friend. I will keep you safe and keep my consequences away from you," Truth said as an image of Aether and Lumine appeared in the rain.
He reached out to them as he spoke but the images disappeared and the rain returned to it's normal speed. Truth's hair then returned to its normal color.
"I promise. Old friend. This burden is mine alone to bear. For it is my sin. And I alone shall serve penance for it," Truth said.
He fell back again to lay against the grass as the rain cleared.
"Maybe when we next meet we can share one last dance. Before the rain takes me as it has all other sinners," Truth said.
