Chase agreed to play the demon's game but he wanted to play safe so he chose truth.

"truth, I choose truth ".

"how do you feel towards Charlotte and since when have you felt that way "

Chase turned to look at Charlotte, he was afraid to speak.

"Chase come on, you have to tell the truth or die, this isn't hard "

She stared at him expecting him to reply or at least say something.

Chase looked away from her, he stared at the floor for a while and looked at the faceless man.

"Chase come on"

"I have feelings for her, I like her, I wanted her to be my girlfriend but I was too scared to ask"

He turned to look at her.

Charlotte was surprised, she couldn't say anything, she just stood there looking lost.

He moved closer to her and said "I fell in love with her the first day I set my eyes on her"

Everything went back to normal, the faceless man had vanished into the shadows.

They stared at each other for a moment, chase looked away and noticed that everything was back to normal. He held her by the hand and said.

"come on, we gotta get out of here"

She looked at his hand on hers and looked back at him.

He pulled her from her hand and ran out of the dark street.

He didn't say a word to her on their way home.

When they got home, he let go off her hand and turned to go in.

"Chase I...

"Goodnight " he interrupted her, he wasn't ready to hear anything. He couldn't even look at her.

She walked in after him and Lottie, Kai and Rufus were in the sitting room.

"Babe where were you? " Rufus said as he quickly stood up to cuddle her.

Chase looked at them and just turned away.

"Hey chase I... "

Chase didn't wait to hear what Rufus had to say, he just went upstairs.

"What's up with him? "

"Uhm nothing, he is probably just tired " Charlotte said.

"Okay, anyway we have good news " Rufus said.

"what's that"

Lottie quickly stood up and pulled Charlotte from Rufus.

"so, the investigation results came in and guess what "

Lottie paused for a while and continued " I'm off the hook, it turns out the nurse took some drugs that made her go crazy and she killed herself "

Charlotte was surprised to hear that because she knows what actually happened, how did they find a drug in the woman's body?.

"Aren't you excited for me, I'm not a criminal!!!" Lottie exclaimed.

"oh uhm sure I am, congratulations " she smiled and hugged her tight.

"Excuse me for a moment "

She left the living room and headed straight to chase's room.

"Chase please I need to talk to you "

No reply, she knocked on the door and continued.

"chase please, it's not about what happened tonight "

She continued knocking but still no reply.

She gave up and turned to walk away.

She heard footsteps heading towards the door and she stopped.

The door opened slowly and chase stood at the entrance looking at her.

"hi" she said shyly.

"Yo" he replied.

She stared at the ground shyly and didn't say a word.

Chase suddenly started to look attractive to her.

Maybe it was because of what she heard that night or it was probably because he was shirtless.

She stared at his body, he was super attractive, his body looked like it was glowing, she stared at his abs and it seemed like she was drooling.

She never knew he was so manly and muscular.

"hii "

Charlotte cleared her throat and looked at his face.

"I believe you had something important to say to me? " he asked as he arched a brow

"Ohh right yeah Uhm, can I come in?"

"Sure"

She walked into the room and chase closed the door behind her.
He didn't bother searching a top to wear, he just sat on the bed at tapped the bed meaning she should sit next to him.

She slowly walked towards him and sat down.

"So the thing is, they found some sort of pills in the nurses body during autopsy "

"ohh that's strange, you said it was the demonic thing right?" he asked.

"Yeah it was, he must have tampered with the results or something "

"yeah, hey excuse me " he leaned closer to her like he was going to kiss her and she just sat there with her eyes closed expecting a kiss.

He stretched out his hands and grabbed the booked that was behind her and moved away.

"what are you doing? " Chase asked with a smirk on his face.

"Ohh I thought.... I mean I..  Uhm nothing never mind "

She stood up and quickly ran out the room in embarrassment and her cheeks were already turning red.

Chase knew what she was expecting but actually didn't kiss her on purpose.

She hurried down the stairs but on her way down, she met with Rufus.

"Hey are you okay? "

"yeah I'm good just hungry" she covered her cheeks with her hands and avoided any more questions from Rufus as she ran down the stairs.

Rufus went upstairs and chases door was opened. And chase was smiling.

He started to suspect if Chase was the reason she ran down like that.

Who wouldn't suspect him I mean, he was smirking, and was shirtless and we all know that Chase was a handsome devil.

Rufus didn't like what he just witnessed even though he witnessed nothing.

He instantly became jealous.

Charlotte went to the kitchen and drank a glass of water. She needed something to calm her self down.

"Everyone get down here and let's play a game " Lottie yelled.

A game you say, what type of game.

Charlotte went straight to the living room and so did everyone else, including Chase but he was already putting on a Singlet which exposed most of his muscles.

"What kind of game do you guys wanna play ?" Kai asked.

"how about truth or dare? "

Rufus suggestions was what she had been praying no one should suggest but Rufus suggested it because of his interior motif.

"no!!" Charlotte and chase exclaimed at the same time.

"Woah guys calm down, do you guys hate the game that much? " Lottie said.

"Ugh Uhm it's uhm"

"Charlotte and I have plans " Chase said.

Everyone stared at him and Charlotte stared at well.

"what, we've got some catching up to do, yunno, what friends do, isn't that right Char? "

Everyone placed their gaze on Charlotte and she instantly agreed to chases idea.

"yeah Uhm, so we can't play, bye guys, goodnight " she wished them all goodnight and as they were heading upstairs, Chase grabbed her hand and they walked hand in hand up the stairs.

That made Rufus very angry that he couldn't control it.

He angrily slapped the lamp that was placed on the table and it fell and shattered.
