USJ

Note: SHIGGY!!!!!

The weekend was over and it was time to resume educational activities.

Dabi, Izuku, and Toga left the dorms first, knowing their classmates got ridiculed and gossiped about more when they were seen interacting with them outside of class activities and lunch.

They arrived at the class about five minutes before most of the class, Iida being the exception, taking their seats and waiting for Aizawa to show up.

Ever since their night of bonding, most of the class had somewhat warmed up to them. They weren't exactly friends or even acquaintances, but they were civil to them and even struck up conversations when the trio were out of their dorms and in the common areas.

The exceptions to this being Ashido, Bakugou, Kaminari, and Uraraka.

Bakugou ignored the trio while the other three were more friendly than the rest of the class, going out of their way to include them and spend time with the reforming villains.

Especially Kaminari and Uraraka.

Dabi absolutely did not let this slide and teased Izuku and Toga mercilessly about it.

It was one of those times where Kaminari and Uraraka were chatting with Izuku and Toga at their desks when Aizawa entered the class, cutting their conversations short. "Everyone get in your seats, now." The two sent the reforming villains apologetic looks before scurrying to their seats, not wanting to be on the receiving end of the teacher's wrath. He eyed the three at the front of the classroom before beginning to explain that day's curriculum. "Today's training will be a little different. You'll have three instructors. Me, All Might, and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you."

A chill went through the class and some glances were sent to a certain freckled teen at the front of the class.

All Might hadn't taught any of their classes since the first day, most definitely due to the whole situation surrounding Izuku, so everyone was a bit shocked that he was going to be conducting a training exercise with him today.

Maybe they were testing the waters, after all, it had been a week since the two had had any contact with one another.

Sero peaked his head out from behind Jiro, his hand raised. "Sir, what kind of training will it be?"

"Rescue." A snort was heard from the front of the classroom along with the muttering of how ironic that was before Aizawa continued. "You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that. What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about costumes..." He pressed a button and the cases containing the heroes in training's costumes slid out of the wall. "...but keep in mind you haven't gotten used to them yet, and they might limit your abilities. This special training is at an off campus facility, so we'll be taking a bus to get there." He looked at the three in the front row. "Dabi, Izuku, and Toga, you three come see me. The rest, go get ready."

The students all went running out of the classroom after grabbing their hero costumes, heading to the locker rooms.

Dabi and his two friends got up and slowly made their way over to Aizawa. Before he could speak, Toga sighed. "What will we be doing instead of this training? You know, seeing as we can't go off campus."

"You'll be coming along with us." The trio blinked at Aizawa, unsure if they heard him correctly.

"Ho - "

"I am going to modify the settings on your bracelets. Remember when you first got here, I said you weren't allowed off campus without an escort? Well, you'll have twenty heroes in training plus three pros with you. I doubt you'll be able to pull anything." He paused, looking the teens over. "And the rest of my class seems to have some trust in you, so I guess I should begin to place some in you three as well."

Aizawa motioned for the trio to follow him out of the classroom towards the principal's office. They arrived promptly, Nedzu opening the door and motioning them in. "I'm glad to see you three are adjusting well to life on campus here at UA." He took a sip of his tea, handing Aizawa the necessary tools to grant the clearance for passage off campus. "Enjoy your training."

All they could do was nod, exiting the office with Aizawa.

"Hey, Eraser, you said we could wear what we want for the training, right?" Dabi asked slowly, looking at his two friends.

"Why do I have a feeling I am going to regret those words?"

"Can we make a pit stop at the dorms real quick?"

Aizawa stared at them. "Fine. Seeing as I haven't activated your clearance level, you may quickly go get changed at the dorms. Meet us at the buses. Don't be late."

"Thank you!" Toga squealed, grabbing Dabi and Izuku and pulling them along.

Just a few minutes later the trio met up with the class at the bus they were taking, holding their wrists out for Aizawa to give them clearance.

"You guys are coming along too?" Uraraka asked, excitement in her voice.

"Yup!" Toga cheered when Aizawa finished with her bracelet. "Your hero costume looks so cool!"

Uraraka turned pinker. "T-thanks."

The first years boarded the open layout bus, everyone taking a seat before they were off towards their destination.

Kaminari ended up next to Izuku, who had Dabi on his other side with Toga and Uraraka next to him.

The blond looked down at the freckled teen's shirt, reading it aloud. "'I put the hot in psychotic'? Are al - "

"Before you finish your question, yes. All his shirts are something dumb like that." Dabi leaned back in his seat with his eyes closed, arms crossed loosely over his stomach.

"At least I don't look like an out of work hot topic employee that decided every outfit is a tits out kind of outfit." Izuku elbowed the older teen, getting elbowed back himself.

"Ass."

"Butthead."

"Himiko!" Toga giggled when her two friends looked at her. "What? I wanted to join in the fun of saying names."

The first years spiraled into mindless chatter as they drove off to their training site, most of the conversations were theories about who the third faculty member could be.

They didn't have to wait long before the bus stopped outside a huge domed building and they were all exiting the vehicle to stand in a semi circle. Gasps sounded out through the heroes in training when they saw who the third faculty member was making Izuku peak through the crowd to catch a glimpse of Thirteen.

"Hello everybody! I've been waiting for you." The class started to chatter. "I can't wait to show you what's inside!"

The group began to move into the building, almost everyone gaping at the different disaster zones. Someone said it looked like an amusement park.

Thirteen began to explain the different sections, arms going wide. "I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters. I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. But you can call it USJ!"

The homeroom teacher went up to the space hero. "Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already? Let me guess, he booked an interview instead."

"Wouldn't surprise me." Izuku mumbled, crossing his arms.

"Actually it's something else."

"Hm?" Aizawa turned to his fellow pro, slight confusion and intrigue in his eyes.

"Apparently he did too much hero work on his way to school this morning and used up all his power." Thirteen held up three fingers while speaking to Aizawa. "He's resting in the teacher's lounge."

Aizawa was less than impressed. "That man is the height of irresponsibilty." He rolled his eyes. "The clock is ticking, we should get started."

"Excellent! Before we begin, I'd like to say one thing..." Thirteen went on to talk about how dangerous quirks could be, how important the past lessons the class had been through would be for this lesson, and what being a hero means.

When they were done, the class cheered.

Izuku felt a chill go down his spine. He moved towards Aizawa as the homeroom teacher pointed to the center of the USJ, just as the lights went out.

"Fuck." Izuku mumbled, rushing up to Aizawa. The man grunted, looking towards the center after glancing at the burnt out lights, noticing a swirling purple mist. He turned to look at the three reforming villains. "I know what you're thinking but we honestly had nothing to do with this." Aizawa arched his brow. "Seriously. We didn't call them here. But I know how to keep him busy while you take down his goons."

"And why should I listen to you?"

Izuku would never in a million years admit that the distrust in his voice hurt. "Maybe because if we get through this rehab program, once we graduate, we can do whatever the fuck we want? So it is in our best interest to cooperate and help out with your heroics." He shrugged. "And who knows? Maybe this program will help us."

Aizawa waited a moment before nodding. "Fine. But the bracelets stay on."

"Of course."

The homeroom teacher turned to his students, sending Iida back to campus to alert the staff and asking Kaminari to use his quirk to try and contact the main campus.

"Wait, so those are real villains?" Kirishima asked as the swirling mist produced dozens of people, the main portal pulling back to reveal pale blue hair with a disembodied hand over the face before forming into a misty purple man in a suit.

Izuku stepped towards the edge of the platform they were on, cupping his hands over his mouth to project his voice. "Hey Tomura! I love what you did with the hands! Did you give them manicures? They look fantastic!"

The teen with hand on his face turned up towards the sound of the voice. "Rabid? You son of a bitch. How are you not dead yet?"

"Wait, is that Shigaraki?" Uraraka whispered to Toga, who nodded in response.

"Believe me, Shiggy, it's not from lack of effort!"

"Rabid, we've talked about this." The purple portal sighed, neither him nor Shigaraki seemingly noticing as Aizawa pulled his goggles on and disappeared down the stairs.

"Sorry, Mamagiri." Izuku called back, clearly not. "But hey, look at the bright side! I've managed to keep Dabi and Himiko alive!"

"And you've kept that awful fashion sense alive, it seems." Shigaraki rasped back.

Izuku snickered. "You can read it from there?"

"No, I just assumed it says something stupid like 'villain' or 'I put the ay in slay'."

"So close! If you weren't stupid, you would've known it is my hot shirt."

Shigaraki turned to the misty man. "Kurogiri!"

"Hey, no! Don't go to Mamagiri! Everyone knows I am his favorite!"

"Not true!"

"Yeah huh!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Kurogiri, I'm your favorite, right?" Shigaraki practically whined at the portal.

"I love all of you equally."

"That's exactly what someone would say to their not favorite child when asked who their favorite is." Izuku was astounded that Shigaraki had yet to notice Aizawa mowing through his rank of D-list villains. He assumed Kurogiri had noticed but was preoccupied with calming Shigaraki down to inform the teen.

"Fine, you may be Kurogiri's favorite, but I am most definitely master's favorite. Otherwise, why would he give me this to play with?" Shigaraki signaled Kurogiri to open another portal, letting through another figure.

Izuku's mouth dropped open when he saw the huge dark blue Nomu walk through the portal. He backed up to Toga, yanking some pins from her hair before going back to the edge of the platform. "That's my Nomu and you know it, you motherfucker!"

"I have fucked no mothers." Shigaraki replied dryly, scratching at his neck. "With this Nomu you so graciously created, I can kill All Might when he arrives to save the students I kidnapped."

The freckled teen started running down the stairs, ignoring his friends and classmates as he began to work on taking the bracelets off. "I brought that Nomu into this world..." He succeeded in getting both the contraptions off his wrists, teleporting straight onto the Nomu's shoulders, his legs wrapped around its neck. "...so I shall be the one to take it out."

"Rabid, no!" Dabi and Toga yelled at the same time, going to chase after their friend when they found themselves frozen to the ground. They glared at the culprit.

"Let. Us. Go." Dabi growled at Todoroki, who blatantly ignored him. "You have no idea what he is going to do!"

"Exactly. And we don't know that you three didn't call them here, so you have to stay." Todoroki finally replied, returning his attention back to the green haired teen on top of the blue creature.

Izuku placed his hands on the side of the Nomu's head, a guttural yell tearing out of the Nomu's throat when he applied more pressure. The creature tried to rip the teen off of its shoulders but the longer Izuku touched it, the less it struggled.

During the whole process, Izuku and the Nomu had their backs turned to the platform and the battlefield where Aizawa was decimating the ranks of low level villains that Shigaraki brought along, no one being able to see what exactly was happening.

"No, no, no! He can't do this! I won't allow it!" Shigaraki shouted, running up to Izuku and the Nomu with his hand outstretched.

Right before he touched Izuku's leg a portal appeared, stopping him from making contact. Shigaraki turned to Kurogiri in a rage. "Master gave clear instructions. Rabid is not to be harmed. It is over, Shigaraki Tomura. Let us return."

The young man grunted but retracted his hand to scratch at his neck. "Fine, but the little brat will pay for this."

Kurogiri looked at the freckled teen. "He already has."

The misty man opened a portal for him and Shigaraki. The blue haired teen was about to step through when a gun went off, a bullet piercing his shoulder. Shigaraki stumbled, Kurogiri closing the portal to catch him.

Iida had made it to campus and brought back with him a lot of the faculty to help Aizawa bring in the villains, including a now rested All Might.

The blond hero looked at the class of first years and Thirteen, walking up to them. "What happened?"

Bakugou scoffed. "The 'reforming' villains betrayed us, that's what."

"We did no such thing! We'll be more than happy to comply but right now you need to let us get to Rabid." Dabi sounded anxious, almost desperate.

Shigaraki groaned, looking over at Izuku and the now collapsed Nomu, his eyes widening. "What the fuck? Kurogiri, we need to get him out of here."

"No! Tomura, bring him up here, quickly." Dabi yelled, struggling against Todoroki's ice.

"But - "

Kurogiri opened a portal, bringing the trio up to where the heroes in training were with the newly arrived pros.

"Todoroki. Unfreeze us. Now." Toga left no room for argument, the heterochromatic teen complying and releasing the duo from his quirk.

Immediately, Dabi and Toga were rushing towards Shigaraki and Izuku, Kurogiri muttering an apology before disappearing.

"Kurogiri!" Shigaraki yelled, noticing the portal man leaving. He groaned when he moved his shot shoulder wrong, turning back to Izuku, Dabi, and Toga with wide eyes. "What is happening to him?"

"Not now, Tomura." Toga hissed, looking at Izuku.

Izuku had trails of blood trickling out of his eyes, ears, and nose, a dazed look on his face as he stared at the heroes and trainees. "Why...why is everyone staring at me?" He reached a hand towards his head. "Do I have something on my face?"

"Rabid, no - " Dabi tried to stop the small teen but was too late.

Pulling his hand away from his bloody face, Izuku took one look at the crimson liquid on his hand before his eyes completely glazed over, his body beginning to tremble.

"What's happening to Rabid?"

"Tomura, we will explain later, right now let us help him." Dabi's voice shook slightly as he looked away from the older teen and back to Izuku. "Rabid - "

"I-I did good, right? I did what you asked...did what you wanted me to...that means I did good?" He paused, listening for a second before a ghost of a smile appeared on his lips, a sigh of relief escaping his mouth. "That means you'll let mom go. You said you'd let her go if I did what you wanted. You said you'd let her go see dad. You will, right?"

Toga clenched her fists, looking at Dabi and Shigaraki with a somber face as everyone in the USJ entrance listened to Izuku.

He paused once more, his smile growing. "Thank you. She loves and misses him so much." His smile faded slightly and he looked down at his hands, whispering. "We both do." Turning his head back up, his smile grew more hopeful. "You'll let her go, right?"

Looking to the ground in front of him, Izuku's smile melted completely off his face, his jaw dropping and eyes widening as tears brimmed the edges. He fell to his knees, trembling hands hovering above the ground in front of him. "No...no, no, no! Mom! Stop playing around! Wake up!"

Dabi closed his eyes, squeezing Toga's hand. Shigaraki looked between the duo and the panicking teen a few feet away, his eyes wide under the hand on his face.

"Mom, come on! We have to...we have to stay strong...stay strong until dad gets here! He'll be here soon, that's what you said! Mom, please, I'm sorry, I...I didn't mean to. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I don't want this, I don't want you gone." Tears mixed with the blood on Izuku's face. "Dad...please hurry...save mom and me...please...say you are here...save us...save mom."

Dabi couldn't take it anymore. Crouching next to the sobbing boy he hesitantly placed a hand on his shoulder. "Rabid - "

"Don't fucking touch me!" Izuku screeched, whipping around with a punch straight to Dabi's nose.

The crunch of the impact of his fist to Dabi's now broken nose snapped him out of his flashback.

The freckled teen sat there for a moment, blood and tears on his face as he panted and got his bearings. He looked at his friend's nose. "I'm - "

"Don't be. I get it."

He then turned to Toga, his breathing uneven and heart racing.

She smiled at him, pulling his head into her chest. Running her hands through his hair, she coached him through his panic attack. "Focus on my heartbeat and match my breathing. Good, good. Just like that. You're doing amazing. In, hold it for a few seconds, and out. Good. Focus on my heart. I'm here. Dabi's here. Tomura's here. You're here. We're going to be okay. We have each other. Just focus on getting through this moment."

Dabi put his nose back in place, looking at the shaken first years and startled pro heroes. He told them with his eyes not to ask questions and they seemed to get the message.

Izuku pulled out of Toga's arms, blinking. "How far gone was I?"

"Complete loss of touch with the present."

He winced. "Where...where did I go?"

Toga glanced at Dabi. "That moment."

Izuku nodded slowly, shooting the others in the USJ a cursory look. "They see everything?" He mumbled, getting confirmation. He sighed. Standing up with the help of Toga. Staring at his shirt, he grumbled loudly. "Great, one of my favorite shirts, ruined."

The blonde snorted. "You ruined my sweater, too!"

"I think I take the cake, you broke my fucking nose."

"Hey, Dabi, are you missing the goddamn bullet hole in my shoulder?" Shigaraki gestured with his good arm to his injury. "Pretty sure that beats out your ugly ass nose."

The quartet of friends burst into laughter, tactfully brushing the incident under the rug to be discussed later without an audience.

At least, they tried to do that, but of course life likes to screw with them and mess up their plans.

"Alright, what was that, Deku?" Bakugou more so demanded than asked.

Izuku stopped laughing immediately, pushing past his friends to glare at his childhood frenemy. "None of your business."

"I think it is our business when you murder someone in front of us and then have a break down because of it." Bakugou glared back, crossing his arms. "Not to mention you called the villains to attack us only to act like the hero to gain trust with the school.

A flicker of hurt flashed through Izuku's eyes as he started to walk past the group of first years. "Like I told Eraser, we didn't call them here. I don't give a rat's ass about gaining the school's trust, and I definitely don't want to act like a hero. As you just saw, heroes have only let me down when I needed them most." He turned his venomous stare to All Might. "I have no such intentions to let those I care about down. I'm only staying at this fucking school for Dabi and Himiko!"

"Why me?" Dabi narrowed his eyes, having a feeling he already knew the answer.

"I think you know already, daddy issues senior."

"Low blow, Rabid."

"I'm five foot five, low blows are the only ones I can deal." Izuku shot back, pausing as he looked towards the ground. "I'm going to pass out now."

And he did just that.

Luckily, Kaminari caught him just in time.

Aizawa had finished explaining the situation to the other pro heroes and the police, coming up the stairs with Izuku's bracelets in hand as the teen passed out. He eyed Toga for an explanation.

"He passed out from blood loss and over using his quirk." She gestured with her thumb at Shigaraki. "This is Shigaraki Tomura."

Shigaraki nodded at Aizawa. "You're a pretty cool dude, taking on all those lackeys by yourself."

The homeroom teacher nodded back, staring a bit longer before sighing. "After he gets checked out and Rabid wakes up, the four of you are going to have to be questioned, I hope you know."

"We kind of figured." Dabi grunted, sending a concerned look at Izuku.

The air around the group of first years and pro heroes was heavy as the D-list villains were led out of the building, everyone knowing that it would take a lot more than a night of bonding to repair the damage done to the trust they had built.
