trip preparation

"As class representative I believe it is my duty to remind all of you that we cannot start and or participate in any illegal activities while at training camp."

"Key words; at training camp. On the way there is a completely free game." Dabi loudly whispered to Toga. "You know what that means..."

Toga nodded sagely. "Staging a hostage situation because Eraserhead refused to accept our persuasive essays on why violence is not the answer but instead the question, which is always answered with a resounding 'yes'."

"I wanted peace for this camp but Eraserhead is really twisting my arm here." Shigaraki sighed, shaking his head in mock disappointment. "We'll have to find the perfect rest stop to enact this plan."

"Hagakure can find the route we are going to take in the teacher's lounge, it might be easier if we knew where we were going and what path." Shinso shrugged when Iida gawked at him. "What? It's been a bit too chummy around here lately."

Izuku snorted, dropping the book he was reading onto his stomach as he turned his head on Kaminari's lap to glare at the purple haired student. "Oh, sure, real chummy. I got thrown across a restaurant and stabbed, my dude."

"Aw, boo hoo! You got stabbed!" Bakugo grunted, crossing his arms across his chest. "Meanwhile I got kicked out of the hero program and now have to share a wing with you and your obnoxious friends!"

"Those don't really seem comparable, but alright." Dabi rolled his eyes, stretching his arms over his head with a bored yawn. "Whatever you say, dandelion."

Sensing the excitement her girlfriend was getting over the obviously violent tension rising within the common room, Uraraka decided to intervene, if only to ensure the trip actually happens and doesn't get canceled because their class murdered each other. "Uh, I thought we were discussing what we are going to be doing at camp?"

Uraraka breathed a sigh of relief when her interception was successful and her classmates switched the topic of conversation back to how they would be spending their free time at the training camp. Of course, it was not one hundred percent peaceful - an impossibility given it was Class A - but things were at least on the right side of civil when disagreements occurred.

It was Yaoyorozu who first brought up how it would be easier to plan if they knew exactly what was on the school's itinerary for the camp and how much free time they would actually be allotted. Her valid comment brought the class back to Shinso's earlier remark of Hagakure sneaking into the teacher's lounge to retrieve the plans for the trip, this time in a serious way and not as a joke.

"Okay, so, it is possible, right?" Ashido looked around the group for reassurance. Most everyone gave her confirmation. "Alright, then we need to create a diversion so that Hagakure has enough time to sneak in, find the information, snap pictures, and get out without being noticed. Thoughts?"

"Ashido, please. Remember who you are talking to." Izuku scoffed, pretending to flip his hair off his shoulder before gesturing between himself and the other rehab students. "We are masters at diversion. Leave that part to us, the rest of you can act as back up and run interference should any issues occur in the field."

"Rabid, I am going to be completely real with you because I don't respect you in the slightest, but we have all seen your ideas of diversions and we actually want this plan to succeed, so thank you for your time but I believe we will be looking to other candidates to fulfill this role. Best of luck on your future endeavors."

"Ha, you said endeavor." Izuku snickered, ignoring everything else his brother had said. He yelped when both present Todoroki brothers threw the nearest object within their reach at him, Todoroki managing to hit him square on the forehead with the book Izuku had been reading earlier. "Ow! Asshole."

"Takes one to know one." Todoroki high fived his brother without breaking eye contact with the green eyed villain.

"Focus, people! We don't have much time to get this done!" Iida chopped the air, bringing everyone's attention back to the matter at hand. He ignored Asui's mumbled remark to Jiro about how surprising it was that Iida was willing to break the rules, choosing to disclose information that may alter their plans. "Now, I overheard our teachers discussing a meeting they had planned for this evening to finalize the arrangements for the trip one last time. So if we can get Hagakure - "

"Wait, if we know where they are meeting then we can just have Shoji or Jiro listen in from afar and not risk us getting in trouble." Ojiro reminded everyone that they had more than one classmate that had a quirk that could be used for espionage. "There is less of a chance of being caught if we don't get too close."

"Squirrel boy is right."

"Rabid, you guys have been in this class for awhile, you should know our names by now..."

"I only retain what I deem important information, Kacchan's Ex."

"Ouch."

Izuku ignored Kirishima's wince, glancing briefly at his blond friend with a conflicted expression, one Bakugo refused to acknowledge. The green haired killer bit back a sigh, fixing his expression back to disinterested and slightly mocking before he continued to lightly antagonize his classmates.

Miraculously, the teasing actually helped the first years formulate a cohesive plan with a high chance of success that the majority of the class agreed upon. They momentarily split up to hastily prepare what was needed to execute the plan, reconvening on the front steps of their dorm. Those that would be in the field, as Izuku had put it earlier, nodded farewell to those staying behind to run the operation, dashing across the campus towards the main building with the setting sun lighting their way.

Izuku pouted from his perch on the couch, watching the rest of his classmates file back inside. "I still don't get why Kacchan and I are the only ones from the rehab program forced to stay behind. I am an asset."

"You're an ass, alright." Bakugo mumbled, mirroring his frenemies pose and demeanor.

Yaoyorozu sat between the two glaring classmates, silently daring them to try anything. "Rabid, Bakugo. You two were asked to stay behind because you are the real back up." When she got blank looks in return the girl sighed, continuing her explanation as she finished setting up the surveillance on her end, the other side connected to those in the field. "Should things go south and our plan is uncovered, you two are going to stage a fight to draw the faculty here. With the faculty heading our way to stop you two from killing each other, there will be nobody left behind to watch the papers in the meeting room, creating the opportunity for those on the mission to still succeed despite the setback."

"Oh, why didn't you guys just say so from the get go? I wouldn't have complained so much if I knew I had the chance to beat up Kacchan." Izuku grinned at the explosive blond.

"In your dreams, Deku."

Izuku laughed loudly, head thrown back as he shook with amusement. He wiped his eyes when his chuckling died down, eyeing Bakugo once more. "Don't forget who owns who, Kacchan." Izuku winked before diverting the attention back to the stream Yaoyorozu had set up. "Oh, they made it there fast."

Those waiting settled down to watch their friends sneak back into the school through the eyes of Uraraka as she was the one wearing the goggles Yaoyorozu had created. They sat in silence as the field team expertly made their way to the meeting room where the faculty were, observed as Jiro connected her earjacks to the wall and Shoji pressed one of his ears to the wall a little ways away from Jiro in case they receive different information from being spread out.

They scooted forward in their seats when the audio connected from the listening device Shoji was wearing, courtesy of Yaoyorozu. It was a bit fuzzy, given that it was transmitting the audio it received through thick walls, but they could understand the gist of it.

The excitement rose among those left in the common rooms as they listened in on what the teachers were planning, exchanging conspiring glances as they plotted and planned what to do in their down time. They anxiously awaited their classmates' return, watching and listening as the faculties meeting came to a close.

"I think we've gotten what we need, call them back." Tokoyami implored Yaoyorozu from his spot on the other couch.

"Uh oh." All eyes turned to a timidly blushing Yaoyorozu. "I...I forgot to make the devices two way."

Bakugou snickered. "Didja idiots forget that cell phones exist?"

Yaoyorozu cleared her throat, slipping her cell phone into her hand before dialing a number. The rest of the students watched as Uraraka pulled out her cell phone after her ring tone blared loudly. It felt like time slowed down when the talking from the faculty ceased and footsteps could be heard approaching the door. Uraraka answered the phone just for Yaoyorozu to yell for them to scatter.

The field team wasted no time in unplugging from the wall so they could retreat back to the dorms. They managed to clear the area before the door opened, seemingly undetected by the faculty. Those in the common room waited for the others to return anxiously, hollering in relief and excitement when the doors burst open and their friends rushed into the room, gasping for air.

Toga grinned manically. "We did it! Now we can figure everything out to make this the most unforgettable class trip ever!"

"That's going to be easy. We don't have much to compete with." Sero threw himself onto the couch with Tokoyami, accepting the water Dark Shadow handed him.

"There was the USJ trip and as much as it pains me to admit it, Shiggy is kind of unforgettable." Dabi placated the reforming villain by wrapping him in a one armed hug, smirking at the annoyed face he got in return.

"I actually do try to forget that, I mean, my brother tried to kill me during a hissy fit."

"In my defense, I am a changed man." Shigaraki grinned at his younger brother when Izuku flipped him off. "Not saying I won't kill you but it will not be the result of a hissy fit."

Izuku mimed wiping sweat from his brow. "Phew! That's a relief. How embarrassing would it be for me to die because someone tantrumed too hard after getting their ass kicked. I could never show my face anywhere again, all my street cred would be gone."

Toga gasped. "But you worked so hard for what little credit you do have!"

The rest of Class A elected to ignore the two best friends as they continued on with their theatrical schtick, opting to actually plan what they would be doing during their limited free time. It took them a couple of hours to agree upon their itinerary but once it was finalized to a campfire and smores they broke apart for the night, retiring to their rooms to rest.

All but one.

Izuku waited until he was sure everyone else in the building was asleep before he snuck out the phone he had stolen from Bakugou's old room, texting the information about the training camp to All For One before tucking the phone away to get some sleep himself, unaware of what he had truly set in motion.
