The story continues where we left off.

Mike watched as the car starts driving off again, feeling happy that he finally told his best friend his feelings, but sad that he might never move back. He then walked towards his friends and sister Nancy, all extremely surprised with Mike.

Dustin, Lucas, and Max had lots of questions, but decided not to say anything since he was upset. They all then got on their bikes and left. Nancy took her brother's hand.

"C'mon I'll drive you home."
"What about my bike?"
"It's fine, I'll put in the back."

"Do you need help?"

"Mike c'mon I've been in the Upside Down, face to face with the Mindflayer, and many others near-death experiences, you think I can't lift a little bike?"

Mike chuckled. "Sorry, my bad I forgot."

"It's fine, I'm just joking little brother!"

Mike then opened the passenger side door and sat down. Nancy then placed his bike in the back and started the engine. Soon they were on the road, but none of them spoke. Finally, Nancy broke the silence.

"Mike, why didn't you tell me you loved Will? Especially since I'm your sister and we both promised the day that El fought that demogorgon and disappeared, that there would be no more secrets between us."

Mike felt a little guilty. "Sorry Nancy, I should have told you, but I was really scared cause people these days just don't accept... people like me. And I just thought..."

Nancy looked at her brother, who had tears in his eyes, she wondered why he had to go through all this, why he had to keep his feelings for a boy a secret, and why people thought it was so bad to be gay.

"Mike, it's ok, I'm sorry for asking, I know it's really tough for you to have to face this, but you're not alone, I'm here for you and I love you no matter what happens."

Mike smiled, "Thank you for understanding, Nancy. But... should I tell Mom and Dad?"

"Only if  you're ready to tell them. And if  you are, I'll be with you the whole time. Especially since dad is homophobic and I'll need to protect you if he tries to hurt you for it."

"Thanks, Nancy."

"No problem, look we're here."

The two got out of the car and went inside. Mr.Wheeler was watching TV, Holly was playing with her dolls upstairs, and Mrs.Wheeler was setting the table. "Mom, Dad, Holly! We're home!" Nancy yelled. "Oh right on time," Mrs.Wheeler said. "I just finished making some chicken. Come kids, sit down and tell me how it went with the Byers leaving. Holly come! Dinner's ready and Mike and Nancy are home!"

Holly came running down the steps. "Mikey! Nancy!" She exclaimed, hugging the two.

"Hi Holly!" The two said, hugging her back.

"Ted come! The food isn't getting any warmer!" Mrs.Wheeler told her husband.

Ted got up from his chair and went to sit down, barely noticing his two children that came. As they were eating, Mrs.Wheeler asked them what happened at the Byers' home.

"Oh um, well Lucas and Max kept on teasing Dustin about his singing with Suzie." Mike said, feeling nervous about the question.

"Since when does he sing? And who's Suzie?" Holly asked curiously.

"Well no one knows, he just didn't want to tell anyone that he could sing I guess. And Suzie is his girlfriend." Nancy explained.

"Girlfriend?! I thought that out of every person in the world, he would be least likely to get a girlfriend." Holly joked.

Everyone laughed except for Mr.Wheeler cause he was too busy focusing on the newspaper instead of his family.

"Well, it is also pretty hard saying goodbye to them, I'm pretty sad about it.." Mike said.

"I know sweetie, and it must have been hard saying goodbye to your girlfriend, I know you care about her so much." Mrs.Wheeler said, feeling bad for her son.

Mike and Nancy shared a look, and Nancy mouthed, "Should we tell her?" And Mike nodded. They both got up and Nancy made an announcement.

"Um, Mom there's actually something he has to tell you all.."Nancy said, holding her brother's hand.

Their parents and little sister looked at them confused.

Mike looked down. "Um..mom..dad.....I...don't like girls.....I'm....gay. I've been in love with...Will..not my girlfriend..... ever since I met him...and today before he left... I told him how I felt and......I kissed him....Please don't hate....me"

Everyone was silent.

Mrs.Wheeler stood up and hugged her son with tears in her eyes. "Oh sweetie, it's ok to be gay, and I won't hate you because you are. I encourage you to keep on following your true sexuality. Ignore whoever tells you that you shouldn't be how you are. And thank you for coming out, dear. You're very brave."

Everyone got into a group hug, except for Mr.Wheeler. He then spoke, "NO!!! Absolutely not, I will not have a queer in my home!!!" He then approached Mike and slapped him. Hard. Mike fell to the ground.

"Mikey!" Holly cried. She went to hug her brother, with tears in her eyes. Nancy grabbed a plate and threw it at her dad. "GET OUT YOU SICK MAN!!! AND DON'T LAY A FINGER ON HIM!!!"

"ME? THIS BOY SHOULD GET OUT, HE'S A DISGRACE TO SOCIETY!!! KISSING A BOY?!!! THIS KID MUST BE THROWN  OUT OF THIS HOUSEHOLD OR I'LL-" Mrs.Wheeler hit him with a glass bottle before he could say another word.

"IT'S EITHER YOU GET OUT OR YOU GET OUT, NOW GO!!!!!!!"

Mr.Wheeler just silently got up.
He just went upstairs, packed his things, and before leaving, told his son one last thing:

"I wish you weren't my son, you f*g."

Then he shut the door. Mike felt like he got stabbed in the chest. Yes, it hurt him, but he didn't cry this time though. He knew his father was a bad man, so he wasn't worth crying for.

His mother went outside and yelled at him before he could get in his car. "I knew you really were just a bad man from the beginning! Well guess what?  I'm no longer your wife, cause nobody, NOBODY, hurts any of my children!" Then she slapped him and took off her ring and threw it in his face.

She then entered the house, she wasn't sad at all, but felt free from the bad marriage she had.

She looked at her three children, all lying on the floor. Holly was crying,and her two older children hugged their little sister. Mrs.Wheeler kneeled down and joined in on the hug.

"Don't worry, children. He won't come back, I'll make sure of it."

Wow guys, stuff really went down this chapter,huh? This took me quite a while to write, but I'm glad I  was able to make it. Also, I wrote all of this stuff at night and I'm pretty tired, but it's worth it.

Also don't worry guys, there will be many more chapters to come for you guys to enjoy.
