Once we teleported to Apokolips the air was a sudden increase of intensity and heat, it reminded Red of Hell, when they were in the battle of Trigon. Instead, it was like a utopia built over raging lava, the type of city where you would find it in fantasy, sci-fi book or movie. John grabs a pair of spectacle glasses from his trench coat and breaks it in half chanting a spell that would make them invisible to others.

"That should help us blend in," John said "But I suggest we keep moving,"

They ran towards the headquarters, just across the bridge in front of them. Walking along the bridge something emerged from behind, water in the form of a giant monster worm, with huge spiralling teeth like something out of mythology. 

John quickly reacted by casting a protection spell that was circling around them like a strong gust of wind. The thing hit them with full force, BANG! Smoke surrounded them, like a mist of who knows what happens next? BB turned into a tiger, Robin with his katana, John ready with a spell as well as Raven, Clark just um, there, Superboy floating, ready to be airborne, and Red with her cuffs. 

Emerging in front of them was Mera, half-robot, a cyborg, half her face made up of advance engineering. The rest of her body was like a snake, like a gorgon. From the side came a figure with spider-like legs, the face to whom belonged to Man Martian, his hand becoming a dragon. 

"Up there!" Superboy pointed towards the sky to see Hawkman and Starfire, her face half robot.

Finally in the front, blocking the passage to Darkseid was Wonderwoman, her face like the rest half. She still wielded her sword and lasso.

"Diana," Clark said to the Amazon he once knew. "I'm sorry this happened to you, to all of you,"

Diana launched herself at Clark and kicked him back. John got a fire in his hands and said:

"I have to say I don't fancy the new look love," John said "It makes you a bit murdery,"

Diana attacked but John teleported to the other side and Diana made a battle cry and attacked. 

Man Martian's hand attacked Robin, but he only swung his katana, slicing right through it in half. Raven putting a force field around her and Red from blasts from Starfire. 

"Kori it's me, and Val!" Raven cried out "You're being controlled!"

Red quickly went in front and blasted a bullet to the flying cyborg and Raven flew towards her. 

"Azarath Metrion Zintos!" She cried out and a Raven aura circled Koru, trapping her inside but Kori's eyes turned bright green, and soon a green light broke out of Raven's forcefield. 

Clark was now dodging attacks from Mera with her triton. Gar from behind attacked her, pinning her to the ground. Clark was then attacked by Hawkman, who had swooped in like a hawk, but Clark fired a small missile at him blowing him away. 

John, now on the ground looked towards him as Diana approached him.

"Ph shit," he mumbled, Diana raising her sword struck down but Etrigan then interfered, using his sword. 

"Finally, a challenged," he grinned

"Took you long enough," said John getting up

"I like to make an entrance,"

The two clashed, having a fierce battle of both highly skilled fighters, Red ran to superboy's aid as he was knocked down to the ground by Hawkman. Red threw an explosive v-a-rang at him sending him back.

"That's right big birdy, lights out,' she said shooting a bullet in his chest.

She sighed helping Jon up, she then heard clanging in the distance, seeing at the edge Etrigan and Diana having a hell of a battle, Red ran to them, so close but something shook her when she saw it.

"NOOO!" she shouted, tears rolling down her eyes, Etrigan was stabbed to the heart and he only looked down in shock and formed a small smile coughing up blood. 

"So it ends, My race is run, I regret nothing," he said and Diana only kicked him, falling into the lava.

"It was fun," was his final words as the flames grabbed him and pulled him into death's hand.

Diana only walked to John "None of you will last long, You have no true warriors," she said

"Oh, sweety, you haven't met her yet," he pointed behind her to see Red, her hair blowing to one side with her sword out.

"Madame Malus was right about one thing," she twisted the sword in her hand "Don't mess with family,"

She ran towards Diana. The two clanged swords, Red easily and swiftly dodging the attacks, she remembered how she fought her last time, in the battle of Trigon. Although Diana had years, hundreds of years of training her level were still no match for the Red Angel, Adora.

Red managed to twist Diana's sword out of the air, throwing her's in the air and quickly jumped quickly swinging around her shoulder blade using the momentum to bring her down, before, just at the second, she grabbed her lasso and landed in a forward roll getting up and catching the sword she threw pointing it at her. 

A sudden flashback of Adora teaching Donna came to her and she flicked her wrist making the lasso and once it was around her she instantly pulled back tightening the grip.

"this if for you Donna," Red whispered

"Hear me Wonder Woman of the justice league?" Asked Red with the authority oozing out of her, looking down at Diana "You are a paragon for warrior through the ages, not Darkseid's minion, break free now!"

"Who are you?!" Red shouted. 

"I-, I, I am Diana of Themyscira!" Diana broke free of Darkseid's control

Red kneeled before Diana, unwrapping the lasso around her. "I am the daughter of Queen Hippolyta, I follow the old gods, and never will bow down to the new," 

"Thank you, thank you, Val," Diana said

"Anytime," she then gave Diana her lasso back and her shield which was on the floor.

Diana threw her shield at man Martian grabbing their attention. The other rejoined behind Diana, 

"There's a tunnel behind you leading to the generator. Leave them to me," Diana said

"Everyone, let's go!" Red said as they headed inside.

Robin opened a door with his katana and it fell to the ground with a thump. 

"Oh Shite and fried eggs," John said

'My God," Red spoke in shock.

They saw inside spiralling circles was Flash, running on a treadwheel for who knows how long. He looked tired, exhausted, his face was weary, and dark circles around his eyes. 

Clark ran, stopping the circles, using all his might he broke it. Falling onto the floor, Flash lye there, tired and drained. Clark detached a tube from his head making him wake up from his trance.

"Barry, Barry!" Clark said

"Clark, "

"We thought you were dead,"

"It was phased when the omega hit. Apokolips reactor damaged, converted me as there replacement, make it stop. You gotta make me stop,"

"Let me," kneeled John. Touching his forehead "Sleep mate,"

"He caused it," John said

'What?" Red asked

"The Flashpoint,"

"What are you talking about?" Asked Clark

"If he doesn't go back to save his mom, Darkseid isn't there,"

"But if Flash is the power generator," Robin said "There's no generator to blow up,"

"So we cant stop Darkseid from coming back," BB said

"Well come on then," John said getting up "Too far to turn around now, we go through,"

"What are you planning Constantine?" Clark asked

"It's magic, you wouldn't understand,"

"I hate magic,' Jon mumbled

Running down the hallway, lasers suddenly hot from all directions. 

"Gah!' cried Gar, from a laser cut from his leg

"Azarath Metrion Zintos!" Raven said making a force field around them "Can't do this long!"

raven... a small whisper said to her let go

Trust me, daughter, let go!

Raven's eyes multiplied, she was in her demon form, a purple smoke clouded the room, destroying all the lasers, and it burst the door open to the other room. She safely landed them into the room making her land on the floor.

"Raven," BB rushed to her side

"I will kill you boy!" Trigon's voice spoke making Gar gulp

Raven's eyes died down to her normal ones and she smiled at Gar "So that was my dad,"

"Should I be worried?"

"Relax Gar, all dads try to kill their daughter's boyfriend," Red smiled

"None can resist Darkseid," came a voice, it was Cyborg, dismantled from his structure and his parts was scattered along the wall.

"Hail Darkseid,"

Great another Hitler Red thought

"I am the source wall, Lord Darkseid has ordered to take you in alive, to personally see your punishment. Please wait for Lord Darkseid's return. You shall be dealt with accordingly-"

"Stop saying Darkseid," John said enchanting a spell

"What are you doing John?" Red asked

"Techno magic feels like taking a test you haven't studied for, luckily I cheat,"

"What-, wh-, is-, happening?"

"Debugging you mate, it's gonna hurt," he then pushed the pattern source towards cyborg making sparks fly everywhere.

Cyborg waking up could feel being yanked from the wall, he saw Clark trying to break him free but he stopped him:

"NO! Stop! I'm fully integrated Clark, there's not left of me to ever leave this place. Now, listen, Batman stepped out to talk to the big-, Batman's returned!"

They instantly turned to the other side to see him, with an upgrade of his suit in a chair, along with Darkseid beside him.

"You," Clark launched himself at Darkseid but Darkseid only stopped him, using his laser eyes to break his armour.

"Dad!" Jon his eyes a bright red, ready to fight. 

"I knew Clark would come one day," Batman said "It was inevitable, but I've never you'd be part of a lost cause Constantine,"

"I'm here to level the playing field," John stepped in front "No running this time,"

"Maybe Zatanna's loss finally broke you," Batman smiled deviously "Was drinking to death not fast enough?"

"You won't pick us apart that easy father," Robin said, leaving Red shocked that he still had the guts to call him that still. 

"You dare call me that," Batman said moving forward on his chair. "Your mother drugged me to conceive you, goaded me into raise you, and broke me mentally-,"

"Damian Don't Listen To Him!" Red cried out with tears in her eyes, these were really close things that she could only know about, knowing how bad it was for him, how emotionally it got to him. 

"But once my eyes were opened by Lord Darkseid, I see you were never my son,"

"Damian, that's to him, he-,"

"Silence!" Darkseid said

"Only a burden," those words shook him.

"Damian, don't listen to him, that's not him, he told me," Red went in front of Robin crying but he only pushed her out of the way and got his katana out. 

"Come then," Robin said "End your burden once and for all,"

'No!" but John pulled her back knowing this was his fight

"Why is those whelp still alive?" Said Darkseid sitting on his throne like a Roman Emporer has thrown his gladiators into a pit for amusement.  

"Correct this Batman," Darkseid said

Batman, getting out of his chair stood before Damian, brainwashed by the evil dictator. 

Red, could only watch in fear, she was flooded with emotions, as much as she knew this fight was personal, this was Damian, not Gar, not Donna, not anyone else, but Damian's, her Damian. She knew how skilled Batman was, how similar the two are, but she didn't know who would win.

(I suggest you play tense music)

"Mobius chair, attack protocol Red Alpha,' Batman said The chair attacked, shooting lasers at the rest while Robin and Batman became two gladiators in Darkseid's pit.

Damian swung his sword, but Batman easily dodged all of it, having knowing every type of fighting style there is, being at human physical peak. Damian was just as close to his father, or so he still called the bat figure. Damian striking his sword down, Batman blocked it with his gloves. 

He kicked his son backwards and punched his son in the jaw. With a final kick, Robin fell onto the ground. 

"In the past, I let you win," Batman came towards Robin "This time, I won't hold back,"

Robin quickly got up launching at Batman, who threw batarangs at him, but Robin managed to slice them in half. But Batman punched him in the jaw once more, this time blood coming out. Using the momentum from the last hit, he swung his katana at him and Batman dodged it again.

Batman then knocked his katana out of his hand, the fight becoming hand to hand contact... Plus kicking

Robin with his arms up dodged a punch from his father. With two strikes, Batman blocked it then head butting his son's face with blood coming. He yanked his hair and knee kicked him in the stomach then punching him to the ground.

In the floor, weak, Robin rolled grenades but before it could blow, Batman shot a line up. Emerging from the smoke Batman came down kicking Robin but he managed to dodge it by doing a forward roll and running to the opposite side. 

Batman threw a (those things where there's like a rope tied around them) stopping Robin and Batman with electrical gloves launched himself at Robin punching his defenceless. Batman grabbing Robin's katana walked towards him launched the sword into his knee. 

He put the tip of the katana on his chin, making him look at him. 

Something happened, Batman hesitated. Darkseid getting up said:

"Finish him, Batman, finish him and take your place as first beyond my servants,"

Red, finishing the chair off watched in horror as she saw the scene before her. 

Batman hesitated, seeing Damian as him, the day his parents died, in that same position, holding the katana the same was the mugger held the gun at him. 

A glitch then sparked in his eyelids, he had overcome the brainwashing, memories were stronger than the brainwashing. 

"you heard me, slave," Darkseid said "Finish him,"

"Go to hell," Batman turned around and threw the sword at Darkseid making it land in one of his eyes. 

His eyes then turned bright, like a thousand suns were stuffed into his eye. 

"You disappoint me," he said and his lasers went to Batman, but, it all happened so fast. RObin rushed in front of Batman taking the hit screaming No! 

"Damian!" Adora cried as he fell down to the ground. 

Batman holding his son, his son, in his arms, 

"It's good to see you father," Damian barely spoke

Adora rushed to Damian's side, Bruce putting Damian in her arms.

"Damian, Damian," she cried, sniffing

It was like that scene when Damian's grandfather died, and the ten-year-old Damian looked at his burnt grandfather. this time, this was him, him dying. 

"Belove-,"

"Sh, Sh, Sh, don't talk ok, you're going to be fine," Adora stroked his burnt forehead. 

"Father," he turns weakly to him. "Dad, I know I wasn't been the ideal son, but you took me in and welcomed me, you taught me a better way, and I thank you for that,"

"Son," Bruce barely said

"Beloved,"

"yeah," she wiped away her tears, but more just came out. 

"You gave me the greatest gift of all, love,"

"Dame-, d-," she felt hard to speak, breathe, like her mouth was dry, her arms felt numb.

"Father, r-, remember, justice, not vengeance," he spoke his final words and everything else became muffled as he slowly slipped away. "Save them,"

Bruce remembered that ten-year-old Damian, when he first came in, him telling those words to him. He remembered that arrogant kid he loved and called his son. Bruce felt tears roll down his cheek, this wasn't Jason, this was Damian, his son, the son that's blood ran through his veins. 

"Look after him, my son," he said barely with tears slipping down his cheek as he slowly got up and she nodded. She gazed down at him, 

"Damain?" Adora said shaking him a little

"Damian!" Adora shouted
