John Constantine gazed to his side of the lavender sheets to see Zatanna on her side looking at him.

"Remember what?" John said dumbfounded raising a brow. 

"That I love you," Zatanna replied with her eyes softening 

"You didn't think that was in doubt, Zee," John sitting up.

Zatanna only tilted her head to the other side and her hand cupping John's cheek rubbing it with her thumb. She stared into his icy blue eyes and blinked and decided to get up and opened the circular blinds to reveal the charcoal grey sky.

"I just wanted to say that," she looked down with her right hand on her left shoulder. John knew something was wrong, it was clearly evident through her expression. John got up walking to Zatanna.

"Before...,"

"Before nothing," John said wrapping his arms around her. "The League will sort this out and we'll be havin' pints by sundown," he assured her.

The couple gazed out the window " or whatever is 'round here,"

"I'm glad you joined the league," Zatanna said

"I'm here for you Luv, just don't ask me to wear a cape," he was about to dip in for a kiss when the alarm went on.

All justice league members to report to the hangar now, Batman said

"Way to clock-block Batsy," John said

"Well...time to go," Zatanna said.

The two arrived in the hangar, every member was there from Mera to Hawkman-even Lex Luthor, and in the front the Trinity, Batman, Wonderwoman and Superman front and centre.

"Thank you for responding so quickly. Some of you already know what this is about, but I wanted to get the new member up to speed," Superman said and then pressed a button to show a hologram. "This is Apokolips, homeworld of Darkseid. A power-mad despot who has orchestrated two attempted invasions for the earth-,"

As well as this in the Titans tower the team, as well as past titans such as Nightwing, Starfire -who gave the baby to Alfred to look after- Red Arrow/Arsenal, bumblebee stood as well as Blue Beatle who told Traci about all of it, side by side the present titans listening to superman's address to take down Darkseid. 

'The first in which resulted in the formation of the Justice League. The second one, an attack within our ranks by Cyborg Superman and his super cyber force.

Whisper began to ring through Raven's ears as her father only grew stronger within the gem trying to break free.

"Ah," Raven closed her eyes shut and put her hand on the gem.

"You ok babe?" Beastboy said worried about his girlfriend.

"I'm fine, it's nothing," she said and Beastboy smiled and their attention returned to the screen.

"This image was taken by surveillance cameras ten hours ago at the edge of the solar system," Batman said with the screen showing Apokolips.

"Apokolips phased into our dimension and released stealth drones, then phased out again," Wonderwoman said

"This can only be looked at as a prelude to war," Superman stated "Darkseid aims to conquer Earth and crush it under his heel,"

"Regular Churchill he is," John whispered to Zatanna but only shushing him.

"Look, I know the guy is a genocidal maniac, but are we sure they're his immediate plans or something he will do like in a thousand, years," Flash said

"Yeah we ain't no Edward Cullen," John whispered to Zatanna but she only nudged him with her elbow (A/n I added that in)

"These are images from worlds Darkseid has conquered," Superman but up another picture. "Our intel shows that he's now sent his elite guard and the furies to act and an occupying force to thwart and resistance," 

the other images that have been pulled up showed many deaths on battlefields that shocked a majority of the league.

"I want to make this perfectly clear, we are facing an existential threat to the planet. We can't wait for Darkseid to make the first move, that could mean the end for us. We have to attack," Superman stated

"It's a tough job," Cyborg said. "Aside from the big bad, this place is jam-packed with those Parademons.

"The league has faced them before," Batman put up a hologram of the demon's weak points "We know these are their weak spots,"

"With our combined force we can cut through them. Then I'll do what needs to be done," Superman said 

"This is madness!" Luthor said "There's always a deal to be made, let's at least send an envoy to Apokolips," he suggested

"No!" Superman crushed a wall with his bare hands "Darkseid almost created a monster that nearly killed me, what chance does humanity have? Our only option is to destroy him" he said firmly.

"That means that Earth can be grown zero for world zone," Flash said "Look, I know some of you don't believe in the visions I had about the Flashpoint. But, a truly global war means death destruction on a scale you can't imagine, everyone on the planet is at risk, everyone we care about,"

"Flash is right," John said

"John," Zatanna said

"Sure this guy deserves a killing, but you can't kick this hornet's nest, like everyone on Earth is bulletproof," John said

"Look, I won't ask to give you any more than I do, but this isn't up for discussion. We're going to stop Darkseid, once and for all," Superman confirmed

"The team will attack through this entryway on Apokolips. Members of the titans will remain one Earth as a home guard. With the Furies off-world and only Parademons to guard him, Darkseid will be vulnerable to attack," Wonderwoman said.

Even though the team had thought this would work Darkseid was watching, like a hawk, which gave him the primal advantage to this. (A/n not sure how it just appeared on some screen when I was watching)

While Diana was explaining Superman went by jet and video called Louis.

"Honey please get somewhere safe," Superman said

"Clark, I have a job just like you. I may not be able to fight in this war but I can report the story. Stop worrying," Louis said

Clark sighed "Just promise me to be careful as you can," 

"I will now go save the world,"

"I love you,"

"I know, *now go check on Jon for me*,"

The submission ended at the titan's tower Robin and Nightwing stood side by side in front of the team.

"Alright, you heard the plan. Bumblebee, Arsenal, Starfire you guys come with me to the west side to help evacuate the civilians," Nightwing said

"Kid Flash, Raven, Beast Boy, Blue Beatle, Wondergirl, Superboy same as us but here. Any signs of Parademons report immediately, understood," Robin said and the rest nodded.

The rest headed out with Robin behind when he stopped and put up a hologram of Val from his wrist.

"I love you beloved, wish me luck," he said and closed heading out. 

If only they knew what was in stored for them...
