-Rule 1: Never Interrupt Them-
Jane woke up, not in the dreary basement but in an opulent chamber fit for royalty. The walls shimmered with a lavish coat of gold, casting a warm glow throughout the room. The bed boasted rich brown hues and intricate carvings that exuded luxury. As Jane's eyes scanned the room, a window beckoned her. Escape was the only word that came to her mind at that moment. She jumped out of bed and ran to it.
"What do you think you're doing?" a female voice suddenly interrupted Jane's actions.
"Who are you?" Jane exclaimed, taken by surprise.
"I'm Aesira," the girl declared, her eyes filled with determination.
"Who are you, Aesira? And what do you want from me?" Jane asked, cautiously stepping back.
"I'm here to teach you some basics, dear Jane,
"You know, my life was never all rainbows and unicorns. My dad sold me to Crook when I was very young."
"Who's Crook?" Jane interrupted her.
"Here's rule number one: Never interrupt someone who's higher than you here. That's something you do with your friends, not at work. You'll get to know Crook later."
"So, when my dad sold me, life taught me to hate all the things I once loved and love all the things I once hated. You can't love your dad when he sells you, and you can't hate those who taught you to hate him because they're the ones that wanted you. Oh, and I'd like to add one more thing: life taught me to be anything but real because life is a maniac. It will ruin everything that you have, so keep the truth always hidden because life can't ruin something that you didn't show."
Jane listened to her every word, unsure of how to feel about it and uncertain if she should trust her.
"Do you know how to use a gun?"
"What? Do I really have to know how to use one?"
"We have a lot of work to do with you. But for now, you have to meet Crook. Rule 2: always be presentable."
Aesira went to the closet and retrieved three dresses.
"Choose one."
"The black one," Jane said, reaching for it.
~
"I'm ready." The girl said as she went out of the room.
"Okay so just put in mind, that you're not meeting a normal person. He's dangerous, so behave!" Jad said as he took Jane through a big hall.
The entire establishment shimmered in a captivating golden sheen, casting a spellbinding allure throughout the space. Guns were meticulously displayed on the walls, contributing a chilling essence of terror to the surroundings. The gleaming gold accents juxtaposed with the menacing presence of the firearms created a haunting ambiance, enveloping the area in a blend of opulence and danger.
They reached the dining room, and she settled into a chair, anticipation swirling within her. Despite her fear, a burning curiosity gnawed at her insides, eager to unravel the mystery of the mastermind behind their troubles. Though anger simmered towards Matheo, the desire to uncover the truth about their tumultuous past and decipher the intentions of the elusive figure after all these years consumed her thoughts.
Suddenly, she realized that she was alone on this table, and that didn't make her comfortable. But then suddenly,
"Mr. Kevin, you're here! Please help me out of here!" Jane's cry filled the room, her heart buoyed by the prospect of freedom drawing near.
As Mr. Kevin settled at the table, a sense of gravity accompanied his presence.
"It's 'Crook' when we're on duty, my dear Jane," he stated firmly, signaling a shift to a more serious tone for the impending mission.
