The next day, was the IND vs ENG 3rd ODI of the three match series in Mumbai. India had won the first two matches. But today, for the first time, India was to come on field without MS Dhoni. Virat and the boys had managed to get him to the stadium but he remained hidden in the dressing room with Yuvi, away from all the cameras and prying eyes. Virat sat there, with Mahi the whole time, before he had to go for the toss. He was very sure that he will be asked certain 'questions' and he was more than determined to dodge them. 

Virat then saw Harsha Bhogle standing in the middle as the anchor in the toss and he relaxed a little. He knew that Harsha will not ask very controversial questions to put him into a spot. So, he confidently moved towards the middle for the toss. The coin fell in India's favour and Virat opted to bowl first. He talked about the playing XI and as expected Harsha didn't ask anything about MS to him at that time. 

India won that match by a really close margin of 3 runs. But nevertheless managed to whitewash the series 3-0. And it was really important for them to win the match, because it would have caused useless talks all around again. The team went into the dressing room happy with the win. They saw their Mahi bhai standing their with pride shining in his eyes as he hugged all of them with all his might. After all that has happened the past few days, even a moment of genuine happiness on Mahi's face was an elation to the team. They can do anything, literally anything to keep that smile permanently on his face. 

At last Virat hugged Mahi, there was some time left for the presentation ceremony to begin, so he sat their with Mahi as Mahi rambled on how proud he is of Virat and how good his captaincy was. One thing that Virat noticed was how tightly had Mahi clutched his hand when he was talking and how reluctant he seemed to let go off his hand when they had to go for the presentation ceremony. Virat felt bad, really bad, at how vulnerable Mahi bhai looked. He had one last look at Mahi before lead the team to the presentation area. He quickly wrapped up the interview, answering in minimum words possible, took the trophy and clicked the team photo. All he wanted was to be with his Mahi Bhai now. 

After the presentation, the team reached the dressing room and Virat handed the trophy to Mahi and said, "We won this for you bhai". Mahi's eyes misted once again as his looked into Virat's eyes to find nothing but love for himself. Virat hugged Mahi with all his might as Mahi hid his face in Virat's shoulder. This sight brought tears to everyone's eyes, even Yuvi, Jaddu and Hardik were in tears, while they fondly looked at the bond of MahiRat.
This perfect moment was broken by the ringing of Virat's phone, and he saw Dada calling him. Virat took a sharp intake of breath, looked at Rohit who nodded at him and they swiftly ran to the back room to attend the call. They didn't want Mahi to hear whatever it is just yet. They wanted to analyse the situation themselves first before telling anything to Mahi.

So, they went to the back room and Virat picked up the call, mentally preparing himself for the worst. While Rohit decided to be the silent listener of the conversation.

"Hello, Virat. How is Mahi? More importantly where is he?", asked Dada anxiously.

"Don't worry Dada, he is with us in the stadium", replied Virat and heard a huge sigh of relief from the other side.

"So, the thing is that I went to the BCCI office to find out what exactly happened and looks like I found something", said Dada in a grave tone.

"What is it, Dada?", asked Virat.

"When I reached the place neither Mehta, our secretary nor Sanjay was present", said Dada, in a tone that showed how disgusted he is to take their names. "which made my job easier. I had to threaten a few people here but nevertheless got hold of some bank deeds, pictures and a pen drive which has phone recordings. All of these seems fake and photoshopped to me. All of it has been framed in a certain manner that one cannot deny them. And most importantly, I found them in Mehta and Sanjay's offices. Looks like they are together in this". And Virat's anger reached the seventh heaven. He clenched his fist and raised it to hit the nearest wall when Rohit held his wrist, gesturing a no and blinking his eyes in reassurance, although he himself felt like wringing Sanjay and Mehta's necks, he now had to calm Virat down. 

Dada continued, "I have taken those with me and I'll send you a copy too. See if you can breakdown those pictures and recordings and find out the real ones while I handle agreement papers and the bank deeds" 

"Okay Dada. You mail me everything. I'll see what can I do. I think I can un-photoshop them", said Virat in a business tone, his eyes carrying a deadly glint in them. 

"Great. I'll come to the hotel later today and then we can discuss our respective findings", said Dada.

"Okay Dada", said Virat, his mind having only one thought -- these people have messed with the wrong person and they will get a payback from not only Virat Kohli but also Mahi bhai's Cheeku which will be their worst nightmare. 

"And congratulations on the clean sweep, Virat", Dada congratulated him, smiling, with pride evident in his voice which made Virat also smile a bit.

"Thanks Dada", said Virat and then they disconnected the call.

After he cut the call, Rohit said," We have to act calmly, Vii. They want us to get angry and act stupidly. And we can't do that one thing they so desperately want us to do." in an attempt to calm Virat. He knew Virat was fuming inside and he needed to calm him down before taking any step.

"You are right, Ro. I won't do any thing in rage", said Virat, as he closed his eyes and breathed to control his anger.

Virat and Rohit looked at each other and went out. The whole team was standing there, with questions on their faces, one common question being, "What did Dada say?" Virat knew he would have to answer the questions but for now he had a press conference to handle. He knew people will ask questions about Mahi's ban, the fiasco and the trolls, and didn't know how to answer them. 

Rohit looked at Virat and at once understood what was going on in his head and he said, "I'll go with you, you don't have to face it alone, you know" and Virat for the nth time wondered How did I get so lucky to have a best friend like Ro. They went to face the media, to answer the unwanted questions and to clear things too. 

Virat and Rohit answered every question with confidence, the confidence they get from their belief in Mahi. The same belief that has kept them strong till today. They defended Mahi publicly, stating that "the final verdict is yet to arrive, investigations are going on and those are not supposed to be shared with the media. We know certain things that are not meant for the media. One statement is enough to turn the whole tide around, enough to turn someone who was a hero till yesterday into a villain, completely forgetting all the things he has done for us in the past", effectively destroying everyone in the room and walked off with dignity.

They wanted it to be known that they believe their Mahi Bhai and trust their bond. They will prove Mahi innocent and will do it really soon. They were sure of it.
